This might be better for Mages and Healers than Warlocks and Shadow Priests, since DoTs ticking don't count for spell casts. The Superior Mana Oil, should give more mana than the Blessed Weapon Coating for Warlocks and Shadow Priests, as it is a constant mana stream. Depends on the proc rate, really.

This is awesome for Protection and Retribution Paladins, as Seals count as spell casts and only cost about (with 15% less mana cost throught Benediction, which every paladin of the above has) 170-250 Mana and holy shield only costs 280 Mana. This item is so awesome!

For all you Flash of Light spamming paladins, this will reduce your already low mana cost of 180 mana to 15 mana when it procs.

so far from what i have seen it appears to have a 45 second internal cooldown. I'm going to be testing it some more after i post this, but thought id get it out there. shortest time I've seen between procs was 45 seconds and longest was 63.

i spent 49 minutes spamming FoL with this oil on, it procd 61 times with an average time between procs of 48.39 seconds
given its procing 1.24 times per minute it would restore 17.05 mp5 putting it ahead of the other available mana oils with the trade off of 5 mp5 for 25 healing.

by the way, it's proc is called Blessedness

This was tested by Kowe on Argent Dawn, this oil will work off of kill command, and mend pet for hunters.

After reviewing several weeks of WWS stats from fights where I was chain casting spells, I'm showing this to have an average of 15.5 mp5. I'm a shaman so I cast chain heal, which is probably the best spell to use to maximize procs since each heal is capable of triggering a proc. The specific encounter I chose to review was Brutallus.

Is everyone else seeing similar numbers?

This will also proc from seal procs, like Seal of Vengeance. Very nice to get mana for doing nothing. :D

At the release of Lich King, temporary weapon enhancements (oils & stones) worked on items all the way to those requiring level 80 (I applied it to Totemic Purification Rod with no problems), this was changed by Blizzard within weeks of release. After much experimenting I found that (at version 3.0.9) the current cut off for using these is any weapon with item value of 162 (as rated in the Armory). Any weapon at or above 166 will alert the user that the attempt failed but will not consume the object. I was able to apply oil to a Levitating Dagger (BOE green) which requires level 75 to use.
