This item has an additional benefit which I haven't seen examined for usefulness as of yet. While it increases the expected crit rate over time, it also decreases the variance of a player’s crit rate. Simply put you'll have steadier criting with this trinket, on top of an increased number of crits over a period of time. Depending on the mechanic of the dps of your class and spec, this could create additional value for it above and beyond a simple +crit trinket.

To what extent it decreases the variance and how valuable that might be should probably be investigated.

All of you talking about Crit damage, you're thinking of the Storms Deck. This creates Darkmoon Card:Vengeance, which is +51 Sta and an on Equip: 10% chance to deal 95-115 Holy Damage to an attacker.

I just recieved the trinket on my priest. It is indeed the +51 stamina and 10% chance to deal 95-115 Holy damage.

I just went out and tested the proc rate, and the results were not what I hoped for.
After 150 hits from a friend the trinket only proc'd 8 times which is a 5.3% proc rate. Maybe it was bad luck (probably), or maybe the proc rate is bugged.

Also it does not seem to be affected by +spell damage, although I only have +200, but it was hitting between the described range everytime.

Most of these things stopped being affected by spellpower ages ago, for a good reason. Afaik, no item that does damage on oppnents on being hit is affected by it anymore.

For anyone who actually has the vengeance trinket AND HAS TANKED with it, I would be interested to know if it causes a 'cast animation' which sheaths weapon and shield.

As you should know, an animation from magic cast (such as the proc on 'Revenger' can make your character vulnerable to crushing blows exactly as being stunned (cannot dodge/parry/block while stunned or while 'casting'). The reflective shield talent from priests for instance causes a cast animation.

Does this reflected damage 'cast' or is it passive like Thorns?

I know it's not modified by +dmg, however - does anyone know if a pally tank were to use this, would the threat from the proc be affected by Righteous Fury?

Input from a prot pally who has used this would be appreciated.

the question is tho..does spell dmg make that little on hit dmg proc hit the enemey any harder..that would make that suchhhh a good trinket

Genius trinket! best pally tank trinket in the game atm, the holy dmg reflected is affected by Righteous Fury...

And here are the drop locations...as much as "locations" is valid word here...

Ace - the last bosses in every 5man wing of Hellfire Citadel, Auchindoun, Coilfang Reservoir, and Tempest Keep
Everything else (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) - random world drops.

I finally finished creating the deck and wotlk is almost upon us. Does anyone think the vengeance trinket will be worthwhile to get for a feral druid, or should I try to sell the deck off. It seems like everyone is selling off their stock of cards on the AH lately.
