Here is yet another item which one may either fail to loot or sell to a vendor. I would suggest that you either auction this one off (for around a gold a piece) or keep it if one of your professions is either leatherworking or tailoring. It is used to make both of these rare items:

Although they are lower level items, the stats are good and they sell for a decent price on the AH.

Anyone mind tipping me and everyone else that reads this where to farm this stuff? I remember picking up a decent amount from the various mobs nearly everywhere listed through my lvling, but failed to take note of its usefulness.

Ive been through the north mountain edge of Arathi Highlands for nearly 3 hours and haven't had one drop. Rather aggrivating.

along the northern arathi mountains in about 2 hours of grinding i got 7 spider silk and 2 thick spider silk. so i guess its kinda luck

Dang, this stuff IS hard to come by! I searched the whole auction house, and there was none to be found, so i came here and fought the forest moss creepers for an hour in the Hillsbrad foothills just to receive 2 Spider's silk. A note to those of you who have some, don't you dare think about selling it to just any merchant, I would have gladly paid a gold for each one I came across!

These sell for quite a lot on the Auction House relative to their drop rate. Anyone in their 30s should slaughter every spider from Refuge Pointe or Hammerfall to their quest location. If you're a tailor, stock up on them, you won't regret it.

It's such a huge pain to get this item. What's the best place to farm for it? I've heard that Duskwood is, although I had some success (I got two in like twenty to thirty minutes) in the Hillsbrad Foothills.

The best grinding place for these i think is in Sishir Canyon, a small valley in Stonetalon Mountain, that resides just a bit below Sun Rock Retreat. Been there several times, and always leave with 5-10 silk's for about 30 mins. work.

After killing around 70-80 Giant Plains Creepers, I got 4 Spider Silk, 6 Thick Spider Silk and 1 Firemane Leggings and I didn't bother looting the gray and white stuff that wasn't Spider Silk or Thick Spider Silk.

I farm these frequently in Duskwood. I've gotten the best droprates there, and can easily farm them even just as level 30 warlock with no issues, 5 or so at a time. (Alliance of Course) these sell for about 2 for 10g on Twisting Nether.

ETA: I recieved about 10 in 45-60 minutes, farming in all areas around Raven Hill.

I had good luck with the spiders in Arathi... I just killed all the spiders I came across, regular and giant. Didn't track the time since that will vary a lot depending on character level...

Started east of Hammerfall, worked my way south along the mountains, then between the lake and little pond at Witherbark Village... a bit west and then back north around the western side of Go'Shek farm, continued north up to Dabyrie's Farmstead and then west along the mountains there... in just that route I netted 11 spider's silk, 5 thick spider silk, 4 greens and a ton of spider legs and grey vendor trash. Not too shabby for a small investment of time.

Has something happened to the drop rate of spider's silk recently? I spent 45 minutes farming these on a 27 warlock in Hillsbrad, getting 1 in that time. Deciding to then try this in Arathi, I spent 45 minutes on a 43 priest, killing around 50 spiders and getting no spider's silk or thick silk - Considering the numbers other people are posting, I'm not seeing the same rates.

edit: Decided to do another 45 minutes of grinding and picked up 4 spiders silk, I can't tell if it's bad drop rates or what 8-)

I used my 70 hunter with the following system:

Start in Arathi at about 56, 36 just above the Dabyrie Farm.
Start moving West along the ridgeline and kill every frakkin' spider you see. 9% is almost as good as 10% so don't skip the regular Plains Creepers.
Once you get to about 36, 27, zip down to farm the fire guys around 25, 30 and pick up some Elemental Fire. You'll also get some Burning Charms which are for a quest, don't bind, so maybe you can sell them on the AH.
I gathered the following grays which seemed like they vendored well enough to go and empty my bags once they filled up:

Burning Pitch
Dripping Spider Mandible
Hard Spider Leg Tip
Once you wipe out the fire guys, head back to 36, 27 and do it again!

Using the system "Moobi" descibes in his post i was able to get a stack of 10 in roughly 45 minutes. You also get plenty of cooking quest/recipe items in this manner as well. I vendored the "VT" (vendor trash) for around 8g per 16 slot bag. Not a bad haul for the amount of time spent.

I agree that arathi is the best place for farming silks that ive found. Ive tried duskwood, and thats a miserable bad drop rate.. full clear of west shore yields 1 silk.. and respawn rate isnt that impressive. more standing around waiting than farming

Ive been using a similar method to moobi ^^ for several months with my 80 warlock; starting north of dabyries farm move west to northfold manor. Kill 3-5 at a a time (spiders, and raptors both) and loot.

ive tried to just run the wall then go back to begining and loot up (you have 5 min till bodies despawn) but this doesnt farm as fast imo

1 hr of this resulted in

- 15 spidersilk (2-5g ea)
- 11 thick spidersilk (25s ea)
- 110 gooey spider legs (5g a stack)
- 25 raptor eggs (1g ea)
- 5 large fangs (2g ea)
- 5 misc green drops (disenchanted.. neg value)

Thats the items that are worth posting on AH all other vendor trash gets deleted to make room in packs for stuff thats worth carrying

If your just farming silk to make money its a waste of time, if you are farming silks to use in tradeskills though the extra 100g in saleable items takes some of the sting out of the crappy drop rate.

Regretably 3.1.2 didnt improve drop rates, and in fact seems to have nerfed them. Using this method prior to 3.1.2 would yield about 2 to 2.5 stacks of spider's silk

Arathi they drop more "stuff" you know spider stuff. But they don't drop silk any more frequently than in stonetalon peaks. the beauty of stonetalon is that the spiders are very close together. It makes farming a whole heck of a lot faster.

I just tested both places and arathi took 3 times as long to get 10 spider silks

I concur that the drop rate in Arathi was likely nerfed in 3.1.2, I'm having much better luck in Stonetalon. This is most likely due to the fact that it's a key mat for a twink Tailoring pattern introduced in 3.1, Spidersilk Drape. Incidentally, this is also why the price shot up so high recently. Being a twink item, those cloaks easily sell for 100g on the AH on my server, sometimes a bit more. With the upcoming twink changes in 3.2, expect this silk to be even harder (and more expensive) to come by.

Using spider's silk u can get spidersilk drape(4 stamina, 4 hit rating, and 4 spell power) and Spidersilk boots with 4 stamina, 4 intellect, and 8 spell power) both are really good for all caster's. On my server drape sells 50g each and boots sell for 60g each. Best place to farm spider's silk is arathi highland. Make sure u loot everything cause i sold poor items at vendor for like 50 silver each. Tough to get but it worth grinding do good luck!

1 or 2 Frostbolts per spider, found it took too long to round them up to AOE. Mounted 100% when I couldn't see a spider. Ran east from Northfold Manor toward Hammerfall then south towards Witherbark Village, mostly following the mountains. Then ran South-West until meeting the Ogres, and then north to Refuge Pointe.

I decided to take myself down to Duskwood, and farm the Spiders there for this item. Had pretty good luck, in about an hour I Got 8 Spiders Silk (not to mention loads of other Grey/white Spider Related Junk).. but off the Black Widow Hatchlings. The other Spiders, didnt drop it as frequently. Maybe It was just a good day for me? I Needed only 6, but I'll be keeping the rest just in case. (( This was on a level 59 Priest ))

Edit - 59 Troll Priest... It was out of my way, I could have gone To easier Locations, but the amount of Spiders in duskwood Makes it worth it. Run around in circles One shotting them, and as you come back around - more have respawned.

Just did this on my 80 rogue to help a friend and some other people since the only Robes of Arcana on the AH was going for 104g. Used the Moobi method of Dabyri and then heading west. About 15 minutes later I had 8 Spider's Silk and 5 Thick Spider's Silk...

I might have just gotten lucky.

Ok so I tried the method Moobi up above recommended:

1. at about 56, 36 just above the Dabyrie Farm.
2. Start moving West along the ridgeline and kill every frakkin' spider you see.

But instead of going down to the farm. I just turned around and went back covering my tracks killing the ones that had respawned all the way back to the Dabyrie Farm.

I used a 34 Lock, with my Voidwalker. I must have gotten real lucky because in 3 round trips about 1 1/2 hours I got 14 Spider's Silk and 6 Thick Spider's Silk.

Duskwood, to the right of the graveyard area theres many spiders, i go there every now and then as a 70 frost mage and just one shot the spiders going up and down and all around and last time i did it i got 4 in at least one hour (wasnt timing, should...), its good because, their low level spiders so very easy and fast to kill and theres plenty of them.

the arathi highland drop rate is 1 in 6 reliably under certain conditions. Go to the spiders between gothek and witherbarks. Theres a discimination once you hit 10 that makes the drop rate half to 1 in 12 so once you get 10, go dump it from your bags and come back.

Arathi is definitely the best place and one of the most profitable areas in the game for many reasons. While farming for Spider's silk, you can also get a nice amount of Iron Ore (Miners) a bit of different herbs (herbalists) and quite a bit of skinning returns from the raptors if you are a skinner. The silk drops from both the small and larger spiders, so I just went around and through all of Arathi and killed like mad while getting some ore as well. In an hour on my DK, I got:

14 - Spider Silks
8 - Thick Spider Silks
5 - Greens
15 - Iron/Tin Ore + Various Stones
98 - Crunchy Spider Legs
72 - Gooey Spider Legs
42 - Crisp Spider Meat
12 - Large Fangs
Various Grey items that sold for well over a gold.

Odd that it can be placed in the Leatherworking bag, but not the tailoring bag. It's only used in one leatherworking recipe, and I would consider a silk thread to be a cloth, not a hide.

i just got my stack in hillsbrad along thoradins wall and between dun gorak, nethander stead, and southshore from elder moss creapers mosty but also a few from the grant moss creepers. i took about 45 mins. on a lvl 34 shadow priest. i also got tons of cooking mats.

As a level 60 hunter I farmed spiders between Dabyrie's Farmstead and Northfold Manner in the Arathi highlands for 30 minutes.

As a 74th level hunter with skinning and mining, the grind of farming these spider silk is not that bad. I have spent about 6 hours over the last 2 days and have gotten 34 spider's silk, 28 thick spider's silk (12gp each for spider's; 3gp for stack of thick, lol). 200+ medium leathers, 60+ heavy leather, several hides (vendored as they are worthless on my sever), 5 greens, 2 stacks of tin, 1 stack of iron, 11 silver ores, and 5 stacks of raptor eggs. In all, about 600 gold. Which is within the limit of 100 gold/hour I follow.
The only tip I have is to follow the hunter's creed... if it is red on mini-map, it is dead when I get to it.
I fill my bags up and when they get full, I ride to Refuge point and sell all the trash. When they get full of good stuff, I fly to Southshore and mail them off to alt.

Being a low-level human warlock who needed Spider's Silk to be able to make myself a Spidersilk Drape and Spidersilk Boots, farming the areas suggested above, or buying it off the AH, were not viable options. Searching the "dropped by" list, I decided to farm Greater Tarantulas in Redridge. My results are in no way scientific, but I reckon I spent about 2 hours farming, and got the stack of 10 I needed, plus a good amount of Small Venom Sacs for Anti-Venom, cooking ingredients and vendor trash. The spiders are located directly north of centre, above the lake, in the area around the sawmill.....just look at the Greater Tarantula page for a visual guide.
I did die a coupla times, but that's a small price to pay for 2 decent blue items. The spiders are an ok-ish distance apart, and the respawn rate seemed good enough to me. Beware of aggro, tho: the condors which are also in the area are particularly aggressive, hence my couple of deaths. Hope this helps any lowbie tailors ;-)

ok so i read this thread because im tired of the cost of it lol, i went to arathi highlands near the go'shek farm there is tons of plains creepers that respawn quickly, i took my melee pet to keep them away and plenty of arrows and made sure to have asppect of cheetah of (speed) and before i knew it i had 5 in 18 mins, i submitted a screenshot as well. hope this helps ( btw killing them gets ingredients for some good cooking recipes, and killing the plains striders help with skinning)

My tailor mage needed a couple stacks of these, so I sent my level 38 hunter off to Arathi to farm them up for her.

Approximately 1400 arrows and 3/4 of a level later, he'd found 17 of them.

No wonder they cost so much on the AH.

Given the price of these on the AH vs the time it takes to farm it is statistically worth it to farm them if you need only 4-6.

Just clearing out the two areas that wowhead lists as having the Giant spiders in Arathi for ~20 minutes netted about 8 thick and 6 normal spider's silks, as well as 5 Large Fangs which seasonally sale pretty good.

giant moss creepers just inside Hillsbrad from Arathi. Hordes of them and they have a good drop rate. Only issue is that lowbies have to kill them for a quest, so sometimes there's competition. Not much,though. ( noticeably better drop rate than the ones in Arathi, and more OF them)

After an hour spent attempting to farm the Domesticated Creeper and Forest Creeper... I can say my attempts for silk proved fruitless. Hopefully there's a spider out there that still drops it.

Funny thing, me and my friend also tried farming this in hillsbrad foothils. Farmed for about 30mins both of us, killed approx 50 spiders each - not a single silk dropped.

My friend posted a ticket about it after checking out some comments here stating that you couldnt get the drops either and the response he got was something along the lines of:

"After Deathwings comeback the spiders which dropped the items are no longer there, but have been replaced by others which still drop the silks, therefore the quest (?) is still doable."

What struck me as weird is that we didnt mention any quest in the ticked, but w/e. The real question is - where's our spider silk?

Found one today: from a Black Widow Hatchling, near Darkshire. Drop rate wasn't super great, one from the lot of them, and respawn wasn't quick. Going to check the regular Black Widows by Raven Hill.

Confirmed that the Black Widows and Venom Web Spiders in Duskwood drop spider's silk--after about 45 min, I got 5 pieces...not great, but it was something and I was happy. Also, hubby farmed the spider cave in the Wetlands and got 3 pieces in about 20 minutes. It's out there, it apparently just takes a bit more farming to find it. Good luck! :)

Had the same issue, spent an hour in Hillsbrad, but after reading all this got 3 pieces in a row from Forest Creepers there. But the drop rate evidently is smaller. Glory to wowhead :)

P.s. just before that got several Thick silk from Arathi spiders.

I found some success farming Wildthorne Lurker in Ashenvale.

A considerably lower rate than how many I came across farming Arathi Highlands and Duskwood before The Shattering. Oh yeah, and these guys are stealth too so it's not very easy to spot them unless you're moderately close, I just swept the areas marked on the map from the link above.

These days, in the post-Shattering, you can farm this off of the Domesticated Creepers in the western end of Hillsbrad if you're Alliance, as the things are friendly to the Horde. The drop rate isn't anything amazing but it's never really been great on anything of level. Expect to fill you standard backpack completely with random junk before you get a half dozen silk.

i have spent much time too trying to find spider silk, i randomly shot a spider in duskwood while exploring and the first spider i shot had spider's silk (i was shocked), so i kept killing the spiders all around the twilight grove, it took a long time but i wound up with 6 spider silks....i hope this helps

Tried Arathi for an hour, no luck. Then read patchnotes, and found that they had been removed or something, and then put back in (a bug). The patch notes stated that they drop from level 16 to 25 spiders - hence, arathi ones are too high level!

I went to Duskwood, and killed:
Venom Web Spider: Ragno Velenoso
Black Widow Hatchling: Piccolo di Vedova Nera

Got 10 in 1H 20M or so, with a level 29 character.

Hi Guys.
After reading all the posts about the scarcity of Spiders' Silk, particularly for Horde players, I thought I'd try my luck in the old tried and true areas, such as: Arathi Highlands, Hillsbrad Foothills, Swamp of Sorrows, just to see if Blizz had fixed the drop rate with patch 4.0.3a.
Sadly, I can verify that of the 100's of spiders I killed making my way across the Eastern Kingdoms, I did not get a single Spiders' Silk. Wish I had a $ for every Crunchy Spider leg and Gooey Spider leg though.

In desperation, I travelled to Duskwood, ( a previous post suggested this place as another possible area for the Silk). Happily, I can advise that the 1st Black Widow Spider I killed produced a Spiders' Silk. 30 minutes later I had 13 of the suckers. So my best advice is to head to Duskwood, there are masses of Black Widow Spiders here and the respawn rate is very high. Happy hunting/ganking. ( 29/12/2010)

I also had the best luck in Duskwood with the Black Widows(not the hatchlings). They respawn quickly so by the time you are ready to head back the way you just cleared, they are respawning. It's also worth noting that when I was there the first time, I farmed for 45 mins and only got 2 silk but when I returned hours later around midnight, I got 10 in 20 mins. So the drop rate might be better late at night when less people are on due to less people farming serverwide. Just a thought.

Farmed in Duskwood between Twilight Grove and Raven Hill from the river to the road passing in front of Raven Hill.

After 10 minutes I had gotten 2 Spider's Silk. After 15 minutes 3. After 40 minutes 4.

So it was about 1 every 10 minutes of farming for me. Probably killed into the hundreds of the "Black Widow" 23ish level.

I was farming for some regular Spider's Silk in Stonetalon (Webwinder Hollow) and everything that I got ended up being Thick Spider's Silk. With this and the Moss Creepers in Hillsbrad Foothills being changed to Wild Horses, where can the lowest level Spider's Silk be farmed now?

Edit: I missed the post about Duskwood so I'll try there, but the droprate seems incredibly low. I'm having wool cloth flashbacks pre-patch lol (Horde btw)

Second edit: I farmed in Duskwood (Black Widows) and I only needed 5 silks, killed approximately 45-50 spiders between Twilight Grove and Raven Hill Cemetary before I got what I needed.

I've been farming in Hillsbrad for this and I can confirm that the Forest Creepers drop silk albeit at a low rate. The problem is, it seems Blizzard has gotten rid of most of the spider spawn in the zone. The only place i found killable spiders was right around the Sludge Feilds. So... it's off to duskwood for me :P

The many Wildthorn Stalkers in Ashenvale may not have as high a droprate as spider's in Hillsbrad or Arathi, but due to their abundance you could farm here if the other farmsite is too crowded.

EDIT: I've just been to Arathi Highlands to try my luck farming for Spider's Silk there. Lots of spider's silk.... except the *wrong* kind of spider's silk. Between the farmsites I've tried, Darkwood indeed had the highest droprate... which is still abysmal, but the other sites are horrible by comparison.

They have removed most of the spiders from Hillsbrad Foothills area and replaced them with horses? Now only a small area near the Ruins of Southshore has spiders, that I have found. There are two kinds and one of them is friendly with the horde, so no killing them which limits the huntable spiders for horde players, and the drop rate is not very good. I have tried other locations and have not been having much luck in finding the Spider's Silk which my tailor needs to level.

And this is not the only item I am having a hard time farming just trying to get enough to level my toons professions. Oh no, the AH will not be getting any of these precious item, as i need everyone i can find.

I just spent the past 20 minutes farming up four of these... go kill the battle creepers near what's left of Southshore if you're an Alliance toon. They respawn constantly and have a pretty darn good droprate. There are blood elf rangers along with the spiders, but with my 85 boomkin, I just moonfired everything. ;)

Ugh. Farmed these from Wildthorn Stalkers, which supposedly have a 4% drop rate. I killed 101 (at least, that was counting the grey items, which I don't remember getting both the sticky ichor & poisoned spider fang off of one at the same time), and got 2 Silk. Here's hoping my info will drop the drop rate for this oof them, because while backfarming can be fun, this was certainly not.

After Cata Patch, none in Arathi...try the black widows in Duskwood...ok, confirmed. The Black Widow spiders of Duskwood drop them, I killed about 150, got 3 silk. The terrain has a lot of trees and is all gloomy. cant spot them well from the air.

To anyone wanting these, and not willing to pay the high AH prices, or in case there isn't any on the AH. I found it very easy to get these by killing Wildthorn Stalkers, in Ashenvale got the 4 i needed for my boots in around 10 mins (Grinding on a 85)

Okay the best place that I found (82 feral druid) was duskwood.

I killed 53 Black Widows and I got 5 spider silk's. So not much change, but then I don't have a large collection of kills from these mobs to say if the drop rate was good or bad, just not enough sample kills. However what I think is, if I could have got passed the boredom of waiting for the entire area to respawn (right up to the GY from just past worgs.)
I reckon that I'd have probably come away with around 10 in 100 kills, it's hard to actually say. When I got the 5 silk's they dropped one after the other after the 11 th kill, then they just completely dried up.

I then moved to the worgs and killed and skinned them, got a bunch of blues, 1 medium hide (needed 2) and 34 medium leathers (skinner and lw). This took me in total including spiders around 15 minutes max.

But if I was a lower level character, it would feel like an abysmal return while trying to quest and such. I think thats misleading though depending on your play style.

Being almost desperate for spider's silk, and raging about how you could consider it a rare item... I went to Duskwood as a poster above suggested. I will never go anywhere else for this again.

If you look at where the Black Widows are located in Duskwood, I made two clean passes north to south (not too big of an area, quick kills being a lvl 79) and after killing maybe 60 of them, had 9 pieces of Spider's Silk drop. This took me about 28 minutes. 25 minutes to farm, and a 3 minute happy dance after.

Checked out those Black Widows in Duskwood.... and WOW. Having farmed Spider's Silk since I started (it goes for a mint on our server!), I can safely say that the drop rate from those little guys is actually better than the drops from Arathi. For a max level character, it used to take me (average) forty-five minutes to farm a stack. This run took me thirty. Definitely hitting this area at least once a week from now on! Granted I'm sure it's not the drop rate that everyone wants, it's still fairly low, but they've raised it enough to make it a nice surprise.

Post-Cata I followed the advice of Hellganater and Lukalock above and farmed Duskwood between the Raven Hill Cemetary and the circle in the middle where the world dragon used to live on my 25 Mage - in 30 minutes I netted 5 spider's silk and about a half level killing 75 spiders. The Black Widows are prolific, but the silk is still rather scarce, in my opinion.

I also looted 23 small spider legs, 30 gooey spider legs, 23 crunchy spider legs, 9 various grays, and two greens.

The AH price on my server is currently 20G per each silk, but then I noticed they were posted by a friend of mine. I asked him if they were selling at that price and where did he get them from. He said he sells 4-8 per week and buys low and sells high. I told him he was cheating. lol For low toons, they really need reasonable prices even if they do have mains with thousands of gold. I refuse to pay that much, hence - the 30 minutes in Duskwood.

Spider's Silk can be farmed from Black Widow Spiders at duskwood. It's a rather large area and the respwan rate of the spiders is high therefore you dont have to wait ages before killing them again. I farmed 4 in 35 minutes. Three of them with 15 minutes. Got 120G for them at AH as tailorers can make lvl 19 cloth boots from them. Good luck

WETLANDS
For Leech Stalker Ragno Succhiasangue I cleared the area once, then went in the cave and cleared it, then came back out and cleared these again. It appears about 14 to 16 total spawn, with 1 or 2 respawning by the time you get them all killed. And all respawn by the time you finish a full circuit in the cave. Of the 2 circuits, killing 32, 1 Spider's Silk Seta di Ragno dropped.

In the cave for the Cave Stalkers Inseguitore delle Caverne I cleared the cave of all 16 and 1 Spider's Silk Seta di Ragno dropped.

DUSKWOOD
Black Widow http://www.wowhead.com/npc=45582. Killed almost 50. Zero Spiders Silk.
Venom Web Spider http://www.wowhead.com/npc=217. Killed 30ish, got 1 Spiders Silk.

Needing just 2 spider's silk to make something for my rogue, I looked at the comments pretty closely and went off to find some. As I was doing this, I was hoping the news was not as grim as it appears--no such luck : (
I started with Ashenvale just to the Southwest of Splintertree Post, by a lake. There are Wildthorn Lurkers there that fade in n out and are gray in color. I killed a few and I say that truly because there are not many and they do not reappear to quickly. I got lucky and managed to get a reg spider's silk. Was hoping this meant good things, but no. I got no other ones in that trip. I went to an area in Stonetalon Mtns., NO luck there. Last night I decided to go to Arathi Highlands, I spent 40 min there and NO reg spider's silk. I got you assorted trash, a green item, and a stack of thick spider's silk. I spent about 20 min in Duskwood and NO reg spider's silk.
I did go back to Ashenvale this morning and got very lucky and got another reg spider's silk in the same area previously mentioned and from from same type--Wildthorn Lurker. Not sure wether to try the area around Goldshire or not.

Edit: I decided to try the black widows in Duskwood between the circle in the middle and Raven Hill cemetary and from the road on the South clear up to the North border. In a couple hours time, and I say this because I would stop cook dinner or watch tv and come back to farming, but I did end up with ********21********* reg. spider's silk, 5 or 6 green items, a lw recipe/a tailor recipe/engineer recipe, and 1 blue item. It was a decent trip. I needed to get just 1 but wanted to get myself a full stack just in case : )

I admit my Warrior alt was in Arathi for Wild Steelbloom, not specifically for spider's silk but I killed every spider I could find because another alt is a tailor. I stopped counting at around 275 but must have come close to 300 spiders. 12 Thick Spider's Silk and all the other usual trash, including 6 greens and a rare (Ruul Onestone) but not a single spider's silk. Probably just the odds but yikes! Why have these patterns if you can't get the mats to make them?

I also first went out to Hillsbrad and then on to Arathi Highlands for the regular "Spider's Silk". The only thing that I got was "Thick Spider's Silk". I took the advice on some of the newer posts and tried my luck in Duskwood, around the Raven Hill cemetary. I had 4 regular Spider's Silk drop for me in 25 min. Yay! Finally! I am now going to farm a bit more to either make some extra money on the AH or make another pair of the Spider Silk Boots for one of my caster alts.

One hour grinding got enough spiders legs to BBQ for all of Azeroth it felt like:

Ran a little experiment today. Farmed Duskwood & Hillsbrad for roughly an hour at each location. My results are as follows:

Duskwood - Black Widows
- 18 grays
- 4 greens
- 72 crunchy legs
- 74 gooey legs
- 75 small legs
- 176 ichor
- 8 silk

Hillsbrad - Domesticated Mine Creeper
- 12 grays
- 9 greens
- 35 poisoned fang
- 75 crunchy legs
- 75 gooey legs
- 79 small legs
- 214 ichor
- 1 tailoring pattern
- 13 silk

To me Hillsbrad is definately a better spot. The spiders are all inside the mine/cave with an extremely fast respawn rate. Some would respawn immediately on top of the one just killed. I did this on my hunter with cheetah speed and beast tracking on so my kills per min/hour were more than doing this on a toon with no run speed increase and no tracking ability.

All in all, 21 silks in two hours wasn't bad. Now the question is how many do I use for tailoring and how many do I list on the AH? With transmogging on the horizon I could make a pretty penny either way I suppose.

Farmed Vedova Neras in Duskwood on my level 85 warrior for just under 30 minutes and looted eight Seta di Ragno. Judging by other comments my results seem to be slightly better than average as I doubt I killed more than 100 in that time.

So just for experiment I farmed the spider silk inside Keepers of Time dungeon Old Hillsbrand and to my amazement those actually drop from Forest Creepers there. The drop rate is more or less the same as everywhere, I got 4 spider silks from 50 kills (which is pretty much every spider in the instance) one lvl 20 green some gray armors and some cooking spider parts and gray spider parts.

All in all it is not a great way to get the spider silk and anyways if u have the level to enter that instance u probably don't need the spider silk except for auction house but if u need to grind Keepers of Time reputation (or for whatever other reason) and you have time it is nice way to squeeze few extra golds from that instance (on my server spider silk sells for 15G each at this time)

Added: It looks like those spiders re spawn inside instance after 10 minutes or do.

Best place for me to farm this silk has been from the Cave Stalker and Leech Stalker in the Wetlands . gained 5 silk's in 30 mins farming. These spiders are plentiful with a decent respawn timer and are very close together also.

I can confirm then the Forest Creepers in Hillsbrad still drop the Spider's Silk, but a rough estimation suggests the drop rate is lower than the reported 5% - something more like 2-3%. (With an 85 hunter doing 1-shot kills, I did several circuits and killed around 200 creepers to get 5 silks. Almost gave up after 40-50 kills without a drop but fortunately decided to try a few more.)

Did this, Moobi's suggestion that is and got plenty of THICK spider silk but after an hour, I have yet to get even the FIRST SINGLE regular Spiders Silk, which is the one I need on my enchanting toon. Im here on a lv 85 pali which makes no difference on the drop. Why wouild Blizz make a low level mat so freaking difficult to farm. Ive pent bout 5 hours today looking fo Spiders silk and i have a total of 6. Ive been to Arathi, been to Bloodmyst Isle, been to Duskwood, been to 3 other places not worth mentioning and NOTHING. Any suggestions to get Spiders Silk would be greatly appreciated.

Just like to confirm Grammie's post. the Black Widow's in Duskwood, just east of Raven Hill, do in fact drop the Spider Silk. i was almost discouraged enough to quit when i came here to check comments, after reading here i logged in to my account and the first kill dropped 1 Spider Silk, approximately 15-25 Black Widows Later i received a second Spider Silk.

having already picked up 2 on the auction house this marked the end of my hunt for spider silk. to anyone in search of the silk dont give up it WILL come, ur just gonna have to grin n bear it and things will come thru :)

Just killed 100 Black Widows in Duskwood. Three Spider's Silks dropped, and a few greens. I've been farming it every few days for a while now, though, and from what I've noticed, it drops more often from the spiders on the Darkened Bank than the ones simply east of Raven Hill. The drop rate is usually better than 3%, too.

Just wanna say for the record, in Duskwood, Both Black Widows and Venom web spiders drop Spider's Silk. I read a post earlier stating that said poster had no luck with them.

I just wanted to say that he really was having no luck with the spiders, not that the spiders themselves do not drop Silk.

I know a lot of ppl are saying Widows from Duskwood, but I have better luck with the Leech and Cave Spiders in wetlands. never have to go far to look for a spider, unlike Duskwood. Respawn rate seems better in the cave than Duskwood. Used to regularly spend 1hr getting 3-4 in Duskwood, and now I regularly get 2-3 in 20 min in Wetlands. It could just be RNG, but I think it is the faster respawn rate and not having to mount to fly to find more widows. Ghost wolf FTW in the cave. :)

I farmed 6 Spider's Silk in duskwood for my Spidersilk Drape, and my drop rate seemed a lot better than most, getting 6 in about 30 minutes. I just ran up and down between the eastern side of raven hill cemetery and the mountains. Hope this helps

I like to farm for the Spider's Silk from Forest Creepers in Hillsbrad. So far, I've gotten 6 of these with just 35 kills in less than 15 minutes. The drop rate seems much higher than what Wowhead states from these spiders.

I was questing in the Wetlands on a level 21 Worgen mage killed two spiders by Thelgeon's Rock and both dropped the Spider's Silk. She is hanging onto them for when she needs them for tailoring. I am not sure if the drop rate is always that good there but it worked at least once.

i have farmed about four of these in about 30 mins in duskwood around raven hill (about 75-100 spiders killed). i do not know of what they used to be called, but they are now just "black widow" i was able to get this drop rate on a lvl 70 troll druid. this was on June 13th, 2012 on the ravenholdt server.

I went looking for this stuff today. I think it's harder to find than any epic...ever. I went to three different places: Hillsbrad Foothills, Duskwood, and Wetlands. Here is my haul in each place. I am an 85 Destructo Lock with a 319 GearScore. In each place, I farmed for a full 90 minutes or 200 spiders, whichever came first.

Hillsbrad Foothills:
0 Spider's Silk.
A ton of grey trash.

I got absolutely nothing. I went to each place listed here and also online on other sites. Nothing dropped at all, not even the Thick Spider's Silk. I was there around 4pm game time.

Duskwood, just near Raven Cemetery
2 Spider's Silk.
A ton of trash.

I got two silks within the first 5 minutes, but nothing afterwards. It was horrible. I even stayed to kill an extra 50 just to make sure I didn't miss anything, but in 250 kills, I only got 2 Silks.

Wetlands.
31 Spider's Silks.
A metric ton of trash.
7 greens.

This was the best place I've seen. Now, to get 31 Silks, I had to farm for about 3 hours to get them. They respawn very quickly; after you clear the outside of the cave, you go in the cave, clear them, and outside has already respawned. They also come in sets; it wasn't uncommon to kill 75 spiders, then in the next 6, I get 5 drops. Each circuit has about 40 spiders total, so I noticed it seemed to be every other circuit that I was getting drops.

They also seem to drop more outside of the cave than inside the cave. I am definately not saying to never go in the cave; they dropped inside the cave as well, but for the 1-2 inside, I would get 3-5 outside. There are also no other mobs around outside of the occasional Slavering Ooze and the spiders are far enough apart that I don't think an at lvl could aggro another spider.

The downside was picking up all the trash. They drop two to four items a piece: Sticky Ichor, Small Spider Leg, a grey/green item, and Poisoned Spider Fang. None of the first three ever netted me more than 7s, even in a stack, so I would just destroy stacks of them. Interestingly, the Poisoned Spider Fang netted 37s a stack. With almost every other spider dropping those fangs, I easily got 9 or 10 stacks to net several gold. It's a low number of gold, but if you are hard up and need a few gold real quick, this isn't a bad spot to look for them.

All in all, I wouldn't say this is a spot to look for a quick stack of silks, but I'd definately spend an hour or two on a slow night to farm them and have them as needed.

Recently I started a warlock with tailoring and since the next good leveling patterns have spider's silk as a part of it, thought I would let you all know where to go. I found some forums/threads about Duskwood near the cemetary, people commenting it was one of the only good spots, but in 30 mins farming time would only produce about 10 drops. I tried recently myself and killed about 20 and no drops at all.

I made a new character and was in Eastern Kingdoms>The Bulwark- and when I took the quest A Little Oomph Un gusto particolare (give link so you can see exact location on map) it sends you to Venomweb Vale to collect venom from black widows. About 8 to 9 times out of 10 spider's silk dropped! Also, fyi other awesome news, for those leveling cooking in that area and recipes call for boar/stag etc meat(which isn't around in Eastern Kindom really) that about 6 out of 10 times the Small Spider Leg needed for the kabobs were dropping. So for this I was able to up my cooking past the spiced bread recipe. A bit ago I thought of Ghostlands since doing lots of Blood Elves and knew tons of spiders were there, but none dropped anything except the Crunchy Spider's Legs.

Patch: 5.1 Landfall

I had success farming in Hillsbrad Foothills with the Forest Creepers. Quite a bit of them and there's a nice path that you can loop starting at Southpoint Gate, making your way north towards the Uplands and then coming back down on walking on the other side of the valley.

Here's how many kills and the amount of time it took me to farm 10 silk...

Start time: 6:07pm
1) 9 kills
2) 61 kills
3) 29 kills

Took a little break.. Started again at 6:59pm..

4) 10 kills
5) 3 kills
6) 27 kills
7) 26 kills
8) 11 kills
9) 26 kills
10) 28 kills

So it seems more often than not it's gonna take you roughly 30 kills per silk, with the occasional luck of nabbing a few with only several kills. Good feeling when that happens haha. Hope this helps.

Alright, so as much as I hate to burst anyone's bubble about where the best drops can be found (at least since patch 5.1), bottom line is you're dealing with luck-of-the-draw. I'm farming Spider's Silk to both level my tailoring and to fatten my purse from my crafted items - RP servers, man...

So I combed Duskwood with a fine tooth comb for over an hour straight and picked up about five silk from just the Black Widows found near the Raven Hill cemetery - not a single one dropped off the hatchlings to the east or the Venom Webs found all around the north half of the zone - and that was after circling back a few times.

Same can be said for the other zones listed and silk has dropped sporadically between the different types of spiders (some that had no silk one day had almost six or seven the next). Over the past week I've seen there's really no rhyme or reason to the drops. You just have to cross your fingers and hope that you get lucky.

If you're like me with a night job and little do during the day, it helps that you won't be competing with questing players or other farmers.

Bastone Contorto del Salmodiante dropped off around 35th Vedova Nera out of 50 Vedova Nera looted got two Seta di Ragno also farmed around 50 Ragno Velenoso for another two Seta di Ragno 15 min of farming .04% drop rate patch in new patch 5.2. also farmed over 150 Ragno Brulicante delle Foreste in hillbrad to only get one Seta di Ragno in two hours. better to goto Boscovespro if you are in need of Seta di Ragno don't waiste your time in Alture di Colletorto.

Boscovespro the Vedova Nera and Ragno Velenoso seem to have more of them with a faster rez rate in a smaller area makes it quicker farming. in Alture di Colletorto fewer Ragno Brulicante delle Foreste in a larger remote area they don't seem to rez as fast.

Did about 60 black widows in duskwood this morning, dropped 5 spider's silk. Another dropped off the minor venom web spider (crab cakes quest). Went back later and did about another 40, no drops of spider silk. Odd RNG....

I just killed 117 Black Widows. Not one spider's silk dropped. So I went over to the area between Tranquil Gardens Cemetary and Darkshire, east of the fork in the road, and killed 19 Black Widow Hatchlings. Two spider's silk dropped.

There are also some hatchlings just southwest of that area, across the road in Roland's Horror. Both of these areas are quite small, however, and there aren't a lot of hatchlings. Nor do they respawn very quickly, unfortunately.

These days the best place I've found for this is Duskwood. (tons of spiders) It's annoying for horde to get to unless you can fly in the old world...but it's worth the trip. I spent 45 mins farming in hillsbrad and got 1. 30 mins farming in Duskwood got me 3. :)

So, I took the advice here and went to Duskwood today farming Spider's Silk.....

After 40 mins. of farming I killed 242 Black Widows and got 10 Spider's Silk.

Best place to farm is between Raven Hill Cemetery and Twilight Grove in that entire wooded area from the water to the road.

It went by fast and they respawn quickly. I would suggest porting to Stonard and flying the very short distance. It wouldn't even be a horribly long ride.

I just farmed 12 of these (2 without trying!); like everyone has said, the drop rate in Duskwood seems to be decent, and that is where I farmed the first 10.

The first 6 took me about an hour with my level 30 hunter. I killed about a hundred spiders and out of that got 6 spider silks. The next 4 again took me about an hour, and a little under a hundred spiders. I know how many I killed because I had the Darkmoon trophy quest and I came to Duskwood with only 1 and left with 200. This is actually a great way to farm them! You get your Darkmoon quest and some rare spider silks... if you have the patience.

They seem to come in bursts, like one or two or three at a time even and then nothing for the next 50 spiders. But it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be, it's a rare drop but not ridiculously rare. And my marksman hunter killed most of them with a single shot. Super easy.

Later on I was questing with another one of my toons, a level 25 mage, doing some quest in the Wetlands that has you kill spiders in and around a cave and the very first spider I killed dropped a spider silk. I started laughing. Then a few minutes later I got another one. So this also seems like a good place to farm them, just be prepared to be disappointed when you're killing spiders left and right and getting nothing for long stretches of time.

I also leveled up my hunter one and a half levels as I was killing the Duskwood spiders, so it is amazing for lower levels! :)

Farming Raven Hill area for spider's silk: that's an hour I'll never get back. I managed to farm the 4 I needed, but excruciating doesn't begin to describe the experience. I gathered enough spider legs to build a fence around Orgrimmar. You'll see these Black Widows in your sleep: guaranteed!

Ok so I decided to farm these since they were retarded expensive in the ah. I started to farm in Hillsbrad Foothills only because it said those spiders had the highest drop rate % and I only needed 4. That did not end up working out well prlly had one drop in about 45 mins of farming and I think that was just pure luck. After reading the comments I flew out to Duskwood excited because it seemed like everyone else that went out there did pretty well! Not me... I killed prlly 100 spiders and nothing... not one spider's silk. Then I read another comment talking about Wetlands and killing the spiders in and outside a cave... Thelgen Rock, Coords 52,62. I got 7 silks in about 20 mins. So for me.. this was the best spot. Happy Spider killing!

Just adding to the string of comments here:

Black Widow spiders in Duskwood @90. First full clear = 4. Second = 0. Then got a 5th. I got all I needed off the first clear, but I wanted to test if it was just luck (and it was). Stick it out; 5 in 20 minutes is not bad given the relative rarity of this item (and typical high AH price).

I was in Ashenvale doing Splintertree Post quests and got 4 in that general area. I wasn't trying to seek out spiders either, but I killed every one I saw. Sounds like if you're just farming for the Spider's Silk, this area may not be too bad. I was on a PvP server as well and kept getting wolf-packed by some Alliance group, which didn't make anything any easier since I had to continue to look over my shoulder. Perhaps I may go back there on a non-pvp server with my LW and see just how good or bad the drop rate really is and how long it takes.

You can still get these in Hillsbrad Foothills for Horde on the forest creepers in the field by the Sludge fields. I killed all the ones I could find which at level 90 took me less than 5 minutes and got 5.

I tried the spiders in Silverpine forest and got none at all, the mobs are too low level.

Alliance:

Duskwood: f I tested the spiders in Brightwood Grove called Venom Web Spiders and Black Widow Spiders by Raven Hill Cemetery and didn't get a single one. I think that these spiders are too high level now for Spider Silk. I spent 10 minutes in this zone.

Redridge: The spiders in this zone are too low level and there aren't that many around to kill.

Loch Modan: Didn't get a single drop off the spiders there, but there aren't that many that I could get close to as horde.

Wetlands: Killed spiders by Thelgen Rock didn't get a single drop. These spiders are in the same level as in Hillsbrad so I'm not sure why they do not drop. I spent 10 minutes killing these .

So I'm not sure where low level alliance are suppose to get Spider Silk.

As of February 15, 2014 Duskwood still seems to be the way to go.

I've just spent 5 hours gathering 4 Spider's Silk for my new boots like so:

1 hour in Hillsbrad - 0 Spider's Silk
2 hours in and around the cave in the Wetlands - 1 Spider's Silk
2 hours in Duskwood - 3 Spider's Silk

Getting to Duskwood as a Horde player:
Orgrimmar and Undercity both have zeppelins to Stranglethorn Vale, which is directly below Duskwood. Once you arrived in STV keep north, if your map is blank the simplest thing is to swim up the river which flows down into the zone from the north.
When you got to Duskwood, look at your map, the Black Widows you're looking for will be along the left side of the round hillrange in the center of the map, they are pretty densely packed with no other red mobs around, so you'll be able to fully commit to your spidercide.

Just spent an hour or so in Hillsbrad Foothills killing all the Forest Creepers in the south part of the zone. Spider Silk dropped from about 1/15 spiders. I ended up with 10 Spider Silk after killing around 150 spiders.

In addition to the previous comments about the Forest Creepers south of the Sludge Foothills, I can confirm that I have just had some Spider's Silk drop from the 'Battle Creepers' that patrol nearby with the 'Dark Rangers'. I'm unsure if you can kill these on horde, but on alliance you can. It took about 10 spiders to get one drop.

I have always had the best luck in Duskwood with the Black Widows. As Horde or Alliance this is where I go and I've never been disappointed. Just spent about 20 minutes killing them and got the 2 I needed. I won't even waste my time going anywhere else.

They still drop from the small spiders in Wetlands, both inside and outside the cave. The drop rate per spider may be lower, but there are vastly more spiders much closer together with a fairly fast respawn. By the time you clear the cave, then clear outside, the ones in the cave have respawned, and the ones outside will have respawned roughly around the same time that you finish the ones in the cave.

I find most farming works better when you have a caster that can do instant spells with no cooldown to make them pause for a significant amount of time.

The best classes would probably be Mage, Druid, or Warlock.

I farmed each location below with the given coordinates for ten minutes on a HORDE DRUID, so I could spam Fuoco Lunare. With that being said, I also used a macro that I could constantly click in order to target the mobs in question faster.

These spiders are fairly closely stacked together, and their respawn rate is pretty good. If you find you've killed them all outside the cave (Alliance does quest here), I normally just kill spiders going along the closest dead-end route of the cave (circular area with four spiders), then run back outside and kill some more.

Unfortunately, as a Horde, you won't be able to kill these spiders, thus only Alliance can farm them.

In any case, there wasn't too much luck to be had when farming the cave. Keep in mind it does kind of have levels and twists and turns, so the macro sometimes doesn't quite help as much as it should.

From the coordinates, you're basically going along the shoreline and then dipping down to the left of the mountainside. This is by far one of my favorite spots for farming this mat, though there are a lot of lowbies killing them for a quest.

I'd never farmed this path before; I've only ever stuck with Duskwood because it always seemed like the best option, despite everyone questing there. This place, however, has to be my number one choice. Nobody were farming the spiders, and it's almost a basic path around Astranaar.

I did get lost a couple times, so I highly recommend the addons Sexymap combined with Routes.

After little under an hour (45 minutes-ish), I managed to get 5 Spider's Silk off these guys- I was farming up and down the Dalaran Crater and Uplands (Hillsbrad Foothills). Forest Creepers are a 5% drop for Spider's Silk, and they respawn fairly fast.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

For some reason with the WoD update this drop has become a scarce one. If you are hunting for this, even in the aforementioned areas.. be prepared for a LOT of frustration in finding it. I killed thousands of spiders and only got one drop. Not sure if it is even worth the bother.

I have tried both the Plains Creepers and the Greater Plains Creepers in Arathi and they only drop Thick Spider's Silk, not the regular kind per se. It appears Arathi is no longer a good place for the regular silk. I haven't tried it yet but I suggest going back to Duskwood and maybe Redridge Mountains and maybe even Stranglethorn Vale if they have spiders.Unfortunately for Alliance, these are serious gank zones.

On a Feral Druid (30% speed increase), I farmed Leech Stalkers and Cave Stalkers at Thelgen Rock in Wetlands. It took me about 55 minutes to get 24. Sometimes I would get a drop every minute and other times I wouldn't get one for 7 minutes or so. The spawn rate was really good and I never didn't have spiders as long as I cycled between the two spawns.

I farmed the stalkers in Ashenvale. I wouldn't call it profitable or efficient farming though... I got two spider's silk from 133 kills.

Farmed 30 minutes on Black widow spiders in Duskwood. Got 9 spider silk.
Also killed venom web spiders and got 2 silk as well.

Seems like since they added the level scaling, getting just plain spider silk to drop is impossible in Duskwood, Redridge, Arathi, and Hillsbard. Maybe that is why it's going for 300g a pop on my server right now...

Confirming tamsenmc's post from 07/30/2016 "I farmed Leech Stalkers and Cave Stalkers at Thelgen Rock in Wetlands."

Thelgen Rock is still a fairly viable place for farming Spider Silk. Although the drop rate has declined in the past year I still got 13 in about 45 minutes. Plus about 16g in grey quality items.

Farming the Leech Stalkers outside, then the Cave Stalkers inside gives you a decent route and spawn times so that by the time you finish one area, the other has respawned and is ready to go.

I farmed these on my 96 BE Pally. Fast and efficient using Divine Hammer and just running through them, then going back to loot. Can't do the whole area that way without losing some of the loot, but taken in small sections it works just fine.

The Ragno Brulicante delle Forestes around the Dalaran Crater in Alture di Colletorto are the mobs you want to farm.
Very good drop rate compared to other mobs. There are a lot of them and they are easy to find.

I found a spot where you will get fast respawns of two spiders which makes for easier farming.

It doesn't give a higher drop rate but simply removes the need to fly between spread out mobs which is one of the main pains of this grind.

TLDR: Similar drop rate to other locations but with no moving and also means faster looting.

Note: This only works for Alliance characters as they are Horde NPCs.

Location: Hillsbrad Foothills just outside the northern entrance to the Ruins of Southshore which is a Horde base;
/way Hillsbrad Foothills 48.38, 64.65 Battle Creeper
From this spot you will have two spawn points within range, each with a pair of NPCs consisting a Guardaboschi Oscura and a Ragno Battagliero which drops Seta di Ragno at
a typical drop rate of around 5% (The Dark Ranger does not drop loot).

The NPCs spawn and have a programme to stealth around and then fight worgens, hence why they appear to hyper spawn which is ideal for us (at least Alliance). Be aware that you should have Ware Mode off as there are PvP Horde guards close by and just want to not hit them by accident.

The Dark Ranger is an Elite NPC but anything over say level 40 they will be grey and easy to kill.

These spawn quickly in around 10 seconds so with both spots you have two spiders to loot which means approximately 12 loots/ minute or 720 loots/ hour. This depends somewhat on the class and abilities available to kill at range and also to loot.

With an average drop rate of 5% that will give and average of around 30-36 Spider Silk/ hour. Given this is a lower drop rate item, then RNG means that there can be periods with no drops but it does even out as I found with a larger sample.

I used a Level 50 mage with Engineering which was about ideal. With Frost spec and Scissione di Ghiaccio which hits two targets at once both died in one cast with a 40 yard range. Engineering means I can use a Depredatore di Bottino Automatico so no moving to loot is great. Mage can also portal using the Teletrasporto: Dalaran - Antica for fast access to the location.

Hunter would work great also or any other class with range is best. But even without, having the two spawns on close proximity means it's really easier than travelling between spread out spiders.

It's pretty mindless but gives a similar drop rate to otherwise flying around and allows the player to watch TV or other stuff while farming these with just minimal effort.

To give a better idea of what to expect this is a loot sample;

Black Widows in Duskwood did the trick for me. Definitely not the fastest farm, but I'd say it's on par with old content drop rates.

The Venom Web Spiders just by the river in the very north of Duskwood seemed to give the best results. The Black Widows didn't give me any silks at all but the Venom Web Spiders did.

After about 20 minutes of farming I only had four silks. I left the zone and tried a handful of the Tarantulas in Three Corners, without any silk dropping, then flew back to Duskwood.

Suddenly the drop rate improved enormoulsy and the Venom Web Spiders started dropping a lot more silk. In the next 10-15 minutes I got another 10.

There's no accounting for what the gods of RNG decide and you may have a totally different experience, but this is what happened to Zokathraa-Quel'Thalas.
