It should be worth mentioning that this Mt. Dew Promotion pet appears to be faction locked to OPEN it. When I claimed the item it did not appear in my pets list as a new present to unwrap. I logged into my Horde toon and boom, there it was. I had to be on a Horde toon to unwrap this for some reason.

After I opened both of the faction promotion pets, I could use each of them regardless of the faction.

I can confirm this item is not faction-locked and I was able to get this one and the blue one on my alliance toon, that being said I wanted to post a warning:

DO NOT WASTE POINTS ON MULTIPLE ONES!

even though the pet journal says you can have 3, even with 2 more codes it won't let you redeem them. Great system.

Buyer beware.

Edit - Apparently this is at the bottom of the email albeit in small print:

"In-game content are timed exclusives; may be available in future offers. The World of Warcraft in-game content may only be redeemed once."

My mistake I suppose but it seems silly to put a cap on it.

Got the code on the inside of a mtn dew 12 pack. I entered my code at mtndewgaming.com . Got the points. Chose the item. Got the email with the code instantly. Clicked the link in the email that brought me to battlenet. Copied and pasted my code in Battlenet. Logged in on my Horde character and it was there waiting for me. Less than 5 mins to get it all done.
