Is the 35 damage before or after damage modifiers? If it's before I'm thinking this would be great against warriors and rogues.

Very good trinket for protection paladin who does "AoE" farming against multiple melee enemies and have trouble staying alive. It is like extra Blessing of Sanctuary without extra block damage and is limited to melee damage (physical?) only. However, I'm not sure if it stacks with it. Going to try if I ever get this.

The materials required to make this are simply too costly for the benefit that this trinket offers.

- Azerothian Diamonds go for 25g each on my server = 50g
- Arcanite Bars are 15g = 30g
- Thorium Bars are 10g = 40g
- Black Diamonds are always cheap, usually even 1s sometimes.
- Pristine Diamonds can go for 1g.

In total? roughly 125g

For +9 Defense
and -35 Damage in melee for 20sec.?

They are now the only thing in game that needs Pristine Black Diamond,since blizzard removed Shen'Dralar reputation

The minion spawned by this item now shares an appearance with Karkin, a so-called "challenge tame" for hunters introduced in Patch 4.2. Sweet-looking as both a pet and a summoned minion.
