Ok as of writing this, I have the cosmetic monthly reward but it is not letting me obtain this. the consumable in the adventure log says im still short the 2 swords, and I cannot buy it from the show off vendor. Anyone else who grinded the monthly early SoL?

If you picked up your trading post chest before the reveal of this sword, you won't have it in your collection. This is confirmed as a bug by Blizzard Support.

I put in a ticket about this, which was "resolved" in that the GM said that they could not grant me the transmogs and that the development team has to do a fix. So here's hoping Blizzard actually fixes this and the fix properly propagates to those affected. In the meantime, all I can do is submit a bug report.

Looks like they were finally able to fix this. I just received them when I logged in (no maintenance, no client restart, just relog).

If you take this weapon to the Twilight Hermit in Silithus he has the following dialogue:
