This is bugged for my Shadow Priest. It worked just after I looted it, and then suddenly it just stopped proccing. Had it on for hours, did relogs, switched trinkets - It still does not proc.

Just got this drop, as a frost mage I was stoked. Ran a mythic +14 right after and this only did 0.3% of damage for the entire run. Proc rate has to be bugged or too low to be a viable option sadly. Hopefully it gets upgraded!

This procced when I first received it, then in the raid that evening it did not proc once. I found logs of two others using it, where it also didn't proc even one time in a whole raid night. I hit the target dummy for ~10 mins, no procs. Relogging, re-equipping etc did not work.

Logged on this morning and it worked - for a bit. During world quests, I noticed that eventually one of the little Elementals it summons did not despawn properly. It has not procced since, and I cannot get it to restart. I think this is the problem, and have submitted multiple bug reports.

For myself and the two logs, we all had the 233 version.

Yeah this trinket is currently bugged in a full raid night the trinket did not proc even once as a hunter GG blizz

I got this trinket as well on itlvl 233 and sometimes it works and sometimes it buggs.

what i tested so far was, un eq the trinket, log out , log in and eq the trinket again - the trinket worked for me then.

i cant say if this is working 100% all the time.

but i wanted to share this information / trick.

I'm so happy i'm not the only one with this bug.

I looted it during the dungeon and it was working fine untill i got to the main raid today and noticed it never procced at all when going over the logs after.

We can only hope this gets fixed ASAP.

This trinket is great....in theory. It seems to proc once when you first equip it and then it never procs again (I'm a BM Hunter). I did a +15 Mist and +14 Plaguefall and it did not proc once. I have opened a ticket with Blizzard and been told that no known bugs have been detected on this item. I guess this means its not meant to do as described. TBH until Blizzard fix it I would just keep it in your bag or bank.

What I noticed is that when the trinket procs the little elemental is summoned, if the target that procced the elemental to be summoned dies; that means the little elemental has no target and it just sits there without doing its damage and then disappears. So for now my only solution is to relog to get the trinket to start proccing again.

Despite this trinket not dropping if you're a survival hunter, it will still work as half of your abilities are considered ranged anyway.

tested this on heroic Vigilant Guardian as a spriest, mostly ST
it accounted for 6.1% dps, more than Legendary powers unholy bolt 5.5%, more than shadowflame rift 5.2%

It procs off from Kill Command and Serpent Sting for Survival hunters also.

It says "Your Ranged attacks and abilities" I tested all the below abilities and it DID proc even if i was in melee range of that target

So i would say avarage damage from this (as a resto druid would be closer to 5% if you are more healing oriented and more like 10% if you are more dps oriented)

I saw it proc from Adaptive Swarm when i tested that, chance seemed low per tick. But hard to count per cast

I hate this trinket. I did not know it actually spans the god damn elemental behind me and I was legit creeped out by it for like a good week.
