You can get the disc from Congealed Oil. Just have to kill some before you get it...

Took me about 20 Corrupted Tar kills to get it.

Does anyone else feel like the drop rate for this item should be increased now that most people aren't doing Mechagon content anymore? A lot of us don't have the good luck needed to get this item within 30 minutes. I, personally, have never had this item drop for me, even though I've spent hours farming for it. I've had to help people kill the Data Anomaly to even get a chance at the loot it drops. But even that's getting hard to do since there aren't as many people trying to get the Disc as there were when 8.2 first launched.

I don't think this is available on days where certain dailies are available. I have in my inventory 22 Fibrous Sludges which is a 9% drop. 22 of those I've gotten and still no Data Disc. I have, at minimum, killed 200 slimes.
