The drop rate seems bad, I did Heroic Underrot with another 2 persons that needed the items, I got 2, other guy got 3 and the third guy didn't get any. I don't know if in Mythic the drop rate is higher, but at this rate, it will take months to craft the quill.

I ran Heroic and got nothing, I ran normal 3 times and got nothing. If something does not happen soon, I will honestly not bother making the quill, farming 50 of these is the only thing I need to do. And i will not invest 100 runs to farm this stuff. I tried farming outside the dungeons, troll in the zone, nothing

I done 1 full clear on normal and got 5, I've done 8 or 9 normal runs just going up to the first boss and so far gotten 33/50. Someone whispered me claiming it drops all 50 after a full clear but I not seen any evidence of that.

Edit: It took me 8 or 9 runs to get to 33/50 but only 2 runs after that to finish collecting. Dunno what changed, I killed the same stuff the same way.

Just finished farming mine solo in normal Underot, took about an hour and a half to 2hrs killing the trolls before the first boss. I'd say they have buffed it stealthily because some packs gave me 12 and some none. Most of the time spent was figuring out how to deal with the stupid big packs on my own, but it worked out in the end.

Can confirm that full runs is a complete waste of time. Did one full run on heroic with a 5 man party. ONE got 3 - that was it.

Went back to Underrot, normal mode, entered alone, killed everything up until first boss. 24 on first go, 25 on second go, last one on third. Took about 20 minutes. All packs up until first boss is easily soloable. Little tip: Loot in between kills. If you kill 3 and loot when all 3 is dead, then you still only get same amount as killing just one. So loot the second first guy in pack goes down and keep doing that. :)

I can confirm that also drops from Blood Trolls and creatures around Uldir in the open world. The drop rate is not great, about 10 in an hour.

Well I just killed all the intro mobs in Underrot (Normal) 5 times in a row... and not a single drop, so no idea what to do now.

I tried to do this on group finder twice and I got nothing from a complete run on normal mode. I went back alone normal mode (BM Hunter) and cleared all the trash before 1st boss and got 27. Didn't check the rest of the dungeon cause it seemed a pretty good amount of loots. Took 2 times to gather all 50.

I basically put my druid in Tank, put it to normal for the dungeon, and farmed the trolls at the start of the dungeon carefully, took like 7 resets, and an hour, but getting them

Easily solo farmable in Underrot normal from trolls before first boss, got all 50 in 5 or 6 resets. I was also skipping last pack before boss on the left path as it was too big for me to solo. Shadow priest 410 ilvl.

While I'm not against having to solo the trash before the first boss on rinse/repeat, it -does- seem an odd way to go about this. Did they really intend for that to be the attainment method, or did someone just botch the coding for how it's supposed to drop, I wonder?

Farming solo as a rogue, i thought sneaking past Boss1 would be nice for more Miasma Coagulato. but dang not a single one from any other mob. so it's the alive-trolls only.

Got all 50 in three Normal difficulty trash runs.

Took out all the troll trash before the first boss as a 390 ilvl vengeance DH with a 1213321 talent build and dps gear. barely ever went under 50% hp.

I used the trash priority of: War Mothers (interrupting Dark Reconstitution if the healer mob was present) > healer mob > head hunters > Dark Omen (usually died from cleaving).

some groups didn't drop but that was to be expected.

Solo farming Normal trash is the only reliable way to do it. Yes, it is VERY poorly designed.

Kill the first Mother, the 3 smaller groups, then reset. About 6 items each time.

If your class can't solo, ask a friend. DO NOT try to join a group.

And for hunters/warlocks, remember to turn your pet's tanky mood on.

This DOES NOT drop safely when in a group. I went in with a DK friend on my arcane mage, because no way could I kill them on my own, I only got 4 to drop in two runs. When I switched to frost and went by myself, no issues at all.

Just got one Miasma Coagulato from Chaka the Infused Chaka l'Infusa and more from the Nazmani blood trolls outside Underrot so can confirm that you don't have to run the instance over and over for these although the drop rate still seems fairly low outside.

Just did it killilng mobs on the road to Zuldazar (50, 75). The item drops from Blood Troll Warmothers (on foot or riding dinos), Blood Cursemothers and Blood Weavers.

They usually drop 2-3 miasmas but not always.

Also, we did it on a 2-man group with no issue.

Ok, so this is really stupid. I did King's Rest and got the feather first, which was no problem, so i expected that like most things, this requirement would be met by running a dungeon. Figured a single clear on heroic would garner the 50 i needed... that's pretty reasonable, right? Ran Underrot... and got none at all. Went and killed some mobs around the heart of darkness and finally got a single one to drop from a rare.

Soloing the groups of trash mobs in the dungeon even on normal is very difficult for a class that can't tank. (ilvl 387 fire mage, for reference)

Anyway, the fact of the matter is that nothing a player needs in order to participate in some aspect of gameplay should require skirting normal gameplay to find a "workaround" ...Having to solo current dungeon content is NOT normal, as-intended gameplay. That's just bad game design and Blizzard ought to be ashamed. I was excited to complete this and craft some blood contracts but that joy is gone.👍

Hopefully people will be smarter than i was and come here before wasting their time queuing for Underrot where these are supposed to be found...

Amaka la Ma'ma dei Crog drops 2-3 of them every other kill or so. That's where I've been getting all of mine from. She's in a tent by herself near 47,54 in Nazmir.

After a few hits she'll backhand you for a knockback, then she'll summon 2 Crawgs and toss in a fear here and there. Easy kill, great drop rate.

I looked through the comments on this and didn't see this anywhere, but the Coagulated Blood mobs that are wandering in the blood pools outside of/around the base of The Heart of Darkness, I did the entire loop around the base twice so far and have 8 Coagulated Miasma.

Farming this isn't so bad in Underrot normal on a tank class with good self healing. In just 2 runs on my ilvl 376 Blood DK, I've cleared the mobs up to the first boss and have gotten 24. Things of note:

- Focus on Priests first in the smaller packs, they have a heal that will heal for about 50% health.
- The big mobs will telegraph their cleave, which puts a nasty bleed on you. Walk through them to avoid.
- When you get to the platforms before the boss, focus the mask first. Dark Omens will eat at your health pretty quickly. Then focus priest, then other mobs.

Edit: Didn't even finish my 4th trash run before getting my 50. So much faster than the one for Jewelcrafting.

This is desperate - if you're a clothy (my Scribe is a mage,) even with a reasonably good ilvl, soloing Normal Underrot is terrible. Farming these outside, I killed various blood trolls in Nazmir for 3 hours and got all of 7. An heroic run and a normal run of Underrot in a group netted precisely zero.

Am I missing something?

At the very least up the drop rate in Underrot heroics?

Really not fun.

Edit: btw the wowhead info on which mobs drop these is not complete. As far as I can tell, any blood trolls (maybe not drudges) and blood globules have them in their loot table. Drop rate still appalling tho.

Dont know if I'm lucky, but I got 46 on Underot normal (soloing as guardian druid) cleaning all the mobs before the 1st boss (both sides). This is the deal, clear all and reset the dungeon :)

Soloing Underrot Normal difficulty in patch 8.2 gave me all 50 before the second boss. Drop rate must have been significantly increased.

Unless you are a tank you will probably need to roll your cooldowns on some trash, the DISEASED LASHERS will stun you for 9 seconds with their Decaying Mind spell so be sure to interrupt that and pull them separately.

Very easy overall at ilvl 406 as a retribution paladin.

The blood trolls at Zalamar (47.3,54.2) drop these..About 1 every 2-3 kills.Amaka the Crawg Ma'da drops 2-3 of them every other kill or so.All of them are in Nazmir.Outside Underrot NW corner.Can be done while waiting for a queue for Normal Underrot run.

It's been fixed. I just ran it in heroic and picked up 30. A normal run ought to finish it.

For anyone gathering Coagulated Miasma in the year 2023 or onward, you can get all of your Miasma easily in a non-key Mythic run (as an example); the trash mobs beyond the first boss (which include the plants and monsters before you reach the next boss room) seem to also drop a measure of Coagulated Miasma. If you got the results I did, you'll get a full stack of 50 on one run before you even down the second boss in this dungeon.
