Something wrong with the model than the preview in wowhead video. There was a point or shard of water back on the right arm. After I choose to view from wowhead 3d view, it's still the same problem. I guess they could fix it. And btw, nice and extremely rare and my most coveted mount after Ceneri di Al'ar.
Please fixing this model of the issue: Model bug from the shard/blade of water forming on the right back and the riding animation must be stand, not sit riding animation

Update: After prepatch, the model of Tempesta Mareale Glaciale is already fixing. With no shard of water on right arm and now the "/mountspecial ability has a sound of crashing the ice through his fist. I'm soo happy and thanks blizzard. :)

With the recent skip added to Jaina, this mount will considerably be easier to farm for both guild groups and pugs. As the article says, you need to have killed Jaina at least once before to unlock the skip, but fails to mention that only one person needs to have defeated Jaina is enough to bring everyone in, including people who never stepped foot in the raid before. The skip unlocks account-wide as well, so you can skip with your alts to give you extra chances at the mount.

After trying to get this mount myself, I've found out about the cheese/no interrupt strategy. Whether you're in pug or a guild group, this is worth checking out:

Before you pull the boss

Mark one range DPS and one melee DPS/tank. Make sure ranged stay grouped together for the first phase and then everyone should move in as a group during the intermission. You need to be stacked with at least 5 other people at all time due to Raccolta Tormenta, with the exception of people running out with Slavina. If you're pugging, it is ideal to grab at least 8+ melee DPS/tanks and/or 8+ ranged DPS/healers so that people don't get frozen. You can also assign some ranged to stack on boss if you don't have a lot of melee DPS.
Ask people to take off their interrupt spell off their bar. This isn't required, but may avoid a silly wipe where someone interrupts the boss by accident. If you have a protection paladin in your group, Scudo del Vendicatore will also interrupt so make sure your tank does not use this spell on Jaina (or at all) during the intermission.
You need a fairly good amount of DPS for this strat to work, especially in pug groups where most people don't know the mechanics. If you're pugging, having 460ilvl or higher is a safe bet for this fight, but you can go lower. Ideally you can push the boss fast enough to skip the first Anello di Ghiaccio. Do not cast Bloodlust/Heroism or similar spells in the 1st phase. This will make Jaina uses Ice Block like any good mage would do to avoid dying, making her immune to any damage for 20 seconds. However, there's yet another cheese alternative where a leatherworker can use their Tool of the Trade, Martello delle Pelli Tonanti, which won't trigger Jaina's Ice Block, which is worth using in the 1st phase if you need extra DPS.

Phase one: Burning Seas (boat phase)

Run out of the group with Slavina, then quickly stack up with your group so you don't get frozen.
Avoid getting hit by Bombardamento and Scoppio Gelido by moving as a group and avoid walking on the Catrame Rovente.
Ranged should be breaking people out of ice blocks if they see any.
When the boss is getting near 60%, everyone should stack up.

Intermission: Howling Winds (blizzard phase)

Everyone should be stacked due to Raccolta Tormenta. Before you jump off the ship, make sure you break people out of ice blocks and res anyone if needed. Then everyone jump down the ship together.
As you're walking down the ice platform, try to hug the left side of the wall and follow the marked people in your group. Don't hesitate to slow down to avoid leaving anyone behind, you don't need to quickly reach the boss anyway.
If you start having high stacks of Tocco Gelido (>15), intentionally hit the Schegge Glaciali that run by your group to get frozen, which will drop your stacks (isn't necessary if you have good healers).
Keep hugging the left wall, killing the Immagine Glaciales on the way, until you reach Jaina.

At this point, if your group was fast, Jaina will be uninterruptible, and she will have Armatura Artica. Melee can start stacking on the boss and ranged should be right behind them. Melee will get hit by most of the Schegge Glaciali that come off the boss and ranged will have to cleave the Ice Blocks down. Hold off DPS CDs until the boss becomes interruptible. DO NOT INTERRUPT THE BOSS, or the strat will fail. From there, Jaina has no more shield and you can DPS her down. You can safely cast Bloodlust/Hero (if you didn't use the LW Mallet) and the boss won't Ice Block (if she does, that means someone kicked her). You won't have to deal with the last two phases and the second intermission with this strategy, making the fight nearly trivial to complete.

Worth noting that Legion had an old system for the Nucleo Diabolico di Fuoco Infernale and Ur'zul Incatenato mounts, where it used to be 5% drop chance per person in the group, up to 100% drop chance for 1 person with a full 20man group. However, after doing 4-5 kills with around 15 people (or less) in my group, Jaina always dropped two mounts, prioritizing people who didn't already had it. Based from my own personal experience, I'd say it's a safe bet to bring less than 20 if your guild can avoid pugging, or if you want to increase your chance at getting the mount (if you can still have enough DPS to push the boss fast enough), but there's still no official post that confirms whether or not that system is still in place. And as usual, the drop chance of the mount will be lowered to around 1% when the expansion is over, like how it used to be for Legion and WoD's Mythic raid mounts.

Come on Blizzard... the sitting/ riding animation is just wrong! Give us the animation like when we are on a flying carpet or how we sit on a medusa. If you can't do that, create two little glacials like holdings... SOMETHING! Don't you respect your co-workers', artists' and designers' work? That buggy riding animation ruins the whole picture!

Personally, through the in-game Help > Submit Bug & Submit Suggestion, I am sending every day a ticket complaining about that. If the community truly loves the mount, they should do the same, and the people in the US, open tickets on the forum too.... we should do something

Hello, so while farming this mount in groups, I have noticed that 1 out of the 2 mounts always goes to the person who did the least (aka died first, wiped the group mulitple times, lowest dps, etc.) so if you want the mount to drop for you at a 100% chance, be sure to just jump off the edge first! It worked for my friend.

An awesome mount and a must-have for a Frost Mage / Elemental Shaman... But made much less cool by the sitting animation. The legs of your character fall through the Elemental's back. I hope this will get fixed eventually, but it kinda spoils the fun.

Also, yes, Jaina does still drop 2 of them per kill.

I have noticed something that has made this mount almost unbearable to use anymore. Its the sound effect of the water/wind while mounted. It literally moves from my left ear, back to the right ear (tested with 2 over-ear headsets and Apple Airpods Pro)...back and forth constantly to the point that it gives me a headache quickly. I don't know why that would ever be desirable. Just make the sound effects happen in both ears at the same time! Has anyone else experienced this? I have searched all over google and haven't seen it mentioned a single time. It happens while sitting idly, as well as flying/moving about. The constant white noise of the water/wind just shifts back and forth on a 1-second tick from left ear to right and back again. I feel like its a bug that needs to be addressed.

This is the greatest designed mount in the 16 years of this game even post Shadowlands there is nothing that comes close to the perfection of this beauty. Sorry if you didn't get it in BFA because it's unlikely to be acquired in the next 3 years before BFA content becomes legacy.

Can confirm that Blizz has indeed screwed up the riding animation and is doing nothing to fix it.

In the cut scene between Duello tra sosia and Combattere per la Forgia, it clearly shows Jaina riding her own Tidestorm like a surfboard. It makes perfect sense considering the entire creature is flowing water, but just the top of it is ice. BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE YOU STAND, NOT SIT.

I have 240+ try with minimum of 6 ppl and only see 5 times this mount. GARBAGE droprate,this is not 1% and cant solo....another great work blizzard *clap*

I've just seen this spawn in BMAH for the first time, aggramar-hellscrem eu, it was already 2,4 mil at long and it's a pretty small and passive realm in general, so someone who missed the easy mount wave in bfa, where it could be bought as low as 300k.

Atm it seems a pretty bad deal compared to getting it in bfa, but I'm sure with further appearances it could go significantly lower, also depending if it spawns as often as other items, I think 1 mil wouldn't be too odd as typical going price.

That 2,4 mil is probably gonna stay the highest bid all the way to the end of the auction.

Also, I check 20 realms or so a day, so unless it has a super rare spawn rare, like the brutosaur initially, it's very likely it was introduced to BMAH with patch 10.1.5.

I would like to add that if you use the skip to Jaina to get the mount, you can NOT go back and do the other bosses. I learned this the hard way when creating an XMOG group and someone clicked the NPC which teleported us all there. There is no way to do any of the other encounters once you utilize this skip, even if you don't defeat her.
