WOOO got this guy after 1501 islands in a heroic molten cay.
Edit: forgot to add I killed one group of leatherwing bats, no rare bats just one elite rest regular.

I Started doing normal ie's on my Demon Hunter twink and when Talismano del Coniglio came I bought a lot of them and sent them over to my main character and started running mythic ie's. I used three accounts while I was doing ie's. My other two accounts were afk on the ship while I was running around looting and gathering azerite on my main. (Since I had 3 accounts my total attempts are 14061) I wrote my attempts below as one account and my attempts as 3 accounts in parentheses.

I just got this mount while leveling a 112 alt in a normal run. It's my first mount drop in Island Expeditions and I've done quite a few of these in heroic on my main. Getting XP while I am farming for mounts and pets makes it feel a little less like a random time suck.

Got mine after hundreds or maybe thousands of expeditions. Normal Snowblossom - I didn't notice a single bat mob, but that might be because I focused on the mogu invasion rares. My primary goal is getting the Albatross - so yeah, this was a nice surprise :) I also got 15 dubloons from this run.

If you are thinking "omg" after reading the other comments then dont worry as there is another way to get these island mounts ,which is way much better than this rng . So i have made some posts which i will be copy pasting here ,now the way to get these mounts is still rng but way much less than drop from island .There is a vendor near the Island Expedition Map Table - Captain Kitt for the Horde and Captain Nightrunner for the Alliance which sells some boxes ,those are only available 3 per week regardless of what island is underway and those boxes are 175 seafarers dubloons each . So i m just copy pasting the mount info from my main post .

Now these are the drops from 175 Seafarers-Dubloon Epic boxes , the other boxes for 120 Seafarers-Dubloon has a chance to drop Stonehide-Elderhorn and Surf-Jelly

Now there are like 3 to 4 items in each box which can include mount/pet/mog/azerite quest .
So Good Luck as the drop rate is around 20% give or take and doing mythic at this point is not that hard as it was before and u get quite a lot of duns from mythics .

I recieved Cacciatore Rigonfio di Sangue by openning a Materiali di Recupero dell'Isola Infossata on 19 February 2020.
~~It's NOT recorded on wowhead~~ so probably every expedition mount can be contained in any Salvage but in extremely low drop rate.

EDIT: Now it is listed as loot from Materiali di Recupero dell'Isola Infossata

I just received the Cacciatore Rigonfio di Sangue from a Materiali di Recupero dei Terreni Verdeggianti .

I opened 11x Materiali di Recupero di Granscogliera without any luck and decided to spend my last 400x Doblone del Marinaio to buy 3x Materiali di Recupero dei Terreni Verdeggianti and I got the Cacciatore Rigonfio di Sangue from the 2nd one. Refuned the last one and got a 120x Doblone del Marinaio back. :)

This was the last one I was missing so now my collection is finished. Thanks to everyone who contributed with useful information.
YOU GUYS ROCK!

I just received this Cacciatore Rigonfio di Sangue from a Materiali di Recupero degli Isolotti Stagnanti.
Currently not listed under both the loot table for Materiali di Recupero degli Isolotti Stagnanti and Contained In list for this.

Just got this from Skittering Hollow Salvage box. Was initially unaware that this mount was available in that box.
Also contained 3 x Spider's Acolyte pieces, which are normal for those boxes.

Got this one just now on my 19th attempt, heroic. I noticed bats on the island I was on but I didn't kill any, though I'm thinking from the group did since we didn't go all together.
It is the second time I get a mount from Island Expeditions and I mostly have done heroic. I have heard the chance for mounts could be higher on heroic and I think that's true with what I have experienced.

Just got Bloodgorged Hunter (bat) from Rotting Mire Salvage (2021)
