Why did Blizzard intentionally make an unusable item? Isn't it enough that engineers got next to nothing new in BfA? Now you have to punish us even further by giving other professions cool items, while giving engineers an item that either gives a marginal dps boost or a taunt. Seems like someone at Blizzard actually hates engineers.

Engineers that are level 120 with 150 Skill Points in Battle for Azeroth Engineering can unlock a special Tools of the Trade questline, rewarding Chiave ad Arco Ultr4. Pick up the Engineering quest starting from Layla Chigliapiatta in Boralus or Shuga Scoppiatappi in Zuldazar.

Upon completing the quest, you are awarded with Chiave ad Arco Ultr4. To craft this item, you need:

10 Espulsom
10 Minerale di Platino
15 Minerale di Argento della Tempesta
50 Bobina Isolata
2x Nucleo Energetico Miniaturizzato - Sabertron NPC in Tiragarde Sound, Abandoned Junkheap

Benefits of Chiave ad Arco Ultr4
Chiave ad Arco Ultr4 allows you to make special modules to summon different NPCs to fight every 15 minutes:

Manichino d'Allenamento Ultr4-Potenziato - target dummy which also draws aggro from you
Ultr4-S3nt1n3114 vX8.0 - mechanical dog that attacks your target
Robobomba a Miccia Corta - army of bomb bots that explode on your target

You need to obtain 2x Nucleo Energetico Miniaturizzato in order to craft Chiave ad Arco Ultr4

One drops from Tigrotron in Stormsong Valley. /way Stormsong Valley 34.30 32.20 Sabertron
One drops from P4-N73R4 in Tiragarde Sound. /way Tiragarde Sound 65.17 64.60 P4-N73R4

Don't make the mistake I did and farm the same one over and over. After 10 kills on the same one I switched zone and it dropped on first kill. Appears to drop from first kill from each independent mob. That was my experience at least.

Has anyone actually figured out a use for this thing? It's basically a 15 minute CD trinket with a 2 second cast time that can't be used in any instanced content. This is not a rhetorical question, I'm honestly wondering if anyone has figured out if this thing has any use at all.

You can't use it in arenas or rated battlegrounds ( obviously ).
You can't use it on non-rated battlegrounds
You can't use it in dungeons, mythic+ dungeons or raids
You can use it, for now, waiting for the nerf, on Brawler's guild.

This is basically a item that you can only use on open world to help kill elites, those that most of us can already solo by now.

So, unfortunately, this is pretty much useless.

The sentry does 76k damage to a single target.
The bombs do 46k damage against a single target.
I haven't tried the dummy but i imagine it doesn't do anything... like a dummy.

Edit: The dummy taunts everything around with some spicy lines. Useless, but at least is funny.

At least it works as a Chiave ad Arco for your crafting needs.

Not that it matters since you should already have your Coltellino Multiuso Definitivo degli Gnomi handy already.

Goes on CD if you use it while moving, or in an area where it can't be used. Basically if you try and use it and can't for what ever reason it is now on CD.

Can be used in open world arenas such as Darkmoon Deathmatch, for those cheeky extra nuking numbers.

There are a lot of stupid things about these profession tools (they're all pretty worthless). But the funniest thing is that while the Chiave ad Arco Ultr4 won't go into my Engineering bags, the blacksmithing equivalent Martello da Forgiatore Khaz'goriano will.

How stupid is that?

One of the more useless profession perks in BFA.

Leatherworking gets a personal Hero / Bloodlust which is very useful for classes that don't otherwise have it.
Alchemy gets a bonus creation for their trade which is a huge breadwinner.
