Finally getting out of the inn to see the world in safety.

This has a hidden quest.
If you talk to the ghost enough times he will eventually talk about sabers living in the snow. Take him to Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring, and a conversation option appears. After you click this, he no longer talks about the sabers and instead mentions "We got da' big reptiles in Zandalar, nun be big'r in all of time". I am currently trying to track down what he wants to see there.
Edit: I woke up the next day to someone else having solved this, gj
Edit again: I can however confirm that the "questline" will reset on the daily reset, because I had to start over from Frostsaber Rock again.

The first clue sends you to Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring.

The second clue: "We got da' big reptiles in Zandalar, nun be big'r in all of time" sends you to Zaladormu in Caverns of Time.

The third clue: "You know, I almost set up a racing ring in Vol'dun. Me partner worried another cataclysm might put us under water and backed out. Plus we had no money, dey took it, when we exiled." I tried the Raceway Ruins in Thousand Needles, but above water he does not have a dialogue option. Trying underwater in a bit. Confirmed you must be down underwater at the ruined raceway.

The fourth clue: "Did I tell ya, I ov'r heard one of those charcoal half pints claim he lived in a volcano." Heading to Shadowforge City. Confirmed, take him to the meeting stone for Blackrock Depths and you'll get his next dialogue option.

He then has a second dialogue option of "You have something you want to talk about?" Following along the dialogue options, he says he will let you in on the location of his buried goods. He then says "Yeah, sometin I tucked away before they caught me. All you need ta do is find the tower just off the Rootway near the river in Nazmir. It be der at the foot." Heading there now.

You will find Wan'be's Buried Goods at 64, 10 in Zuldazar. Happy hunting!

I got different dialog after taking him to winterspring. I got "I was thinking something colder"

Note that for Zaladormu, you need to be on the lower level in front of him, NOT beside him.

All I got was a Huge Femur grey item from his buried goods, was this intended ;o? No gold coins to be seen.

It'd been cool if you got a toy as a reward for completing the quests, but nah, Blizzard gives you 120g instead. Guess it's better than trash items...

I would never have found this without the video, so thanks to whoever uploaded it. The skull says the treasure is in Nazmir, but it's in Zuldazar.

It would be fun if there was an achievement for carrying him to various places around the world, like there is for Fotografo professionista . But honestly, I'd do all that running around just to have the skull if it was a regular quest item we didn't already get to keep. I take him out to show him the sights in all sorts of places just for fun.

Since I can't see that anyone have posted all the steps for the hidden quest in a complete list with tomtom locations, I thought I'd add one.

1. Buy this item from Hoarder Jenna in Vol'dun (you have to be at least revered).

2. Talk to Wan'be until you get him to say "You ever see a saber in the snow? That be a crazy idea, snow that is."

3. Go to Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring

4. Use the item and choose "This what you had in mind?" Continue talking to Wan'be until you get him to say "We got da' big reptiles in Zandalar, nun be big'r all of time."

5. Go to Zaladormu in Caverns of time in Tanaris.

6. Use the item (Note that you need to stand below Zaladormu) and choose "You were saying?" Continue talking to Wan'be until you get him to say "You know, I almost setup a racing ring in Vol'dun. Me partner worried another cataclysm might put us under water and backed out. Plus we had no money, dey took it, when we exiled."

7. Go to the raceway that is underwater in Thousand Needles.

8. Use the item and choose "<You gesture around the area.>" Continue talking to Wan'be until you get him to say "Did I tell ya, I ov'r heard one of those charcoal half pints claim he lived in a volcano."

9. Go to the summoning stone in the middle of Blackrock Mountain. There are two entrances, one in Burning Steppes, one in Searing Gorge

10. Use the item and talk to Wan'be until there are no more dialogue options.

11. Go to the tower in Rootway Collapse in Zuldazar and claim your prize.

(Nazmir waypoint since Zuldazar is not able to manage links like this. If in Zuldazar use /way 63.6, 9.8 to work around this)

12. Collect your hard earned 120g and Wan'be pops up and says "There should even be enough for a tip!"

It would be nice to get a better reward from all of this, but the only part that REALLY irritated me was the fact that you had to endlessly click on him at every damn location trying to get him to give the correct response to let you move to the next location. Jesus.

Considering that this skull cost 150 gold to buy (I think), and the end reward is 120 gold, it is sort of like a cruel joke.

Update: If you are exalted with the Voldunai, the cost of the skull is 96 gold. Still, weigh that against whether running all over the world is worth the handful of gold you get back, if any. It's fun if you've been sitting in town complaining "there's nothing to do," but not if you have places to be.

Once you've done this hidden quest which takes an hour of your life and rewards barely enough gold to cover its cost, it IS safe to delete, or take a bag slot forever!

Just poking fun at the thread here: What with all the comments, I'm surprised that no one has yet to touch on the 'insult to injury' that is the five minute cooldown on this item when it can take less than five minutes to get from place to place in the hidden quest chain!
