This trinket is the king of AoE DPS. Note since this is an on-use trinket, after using it any other on-use trinket gets between a 10 to 30 second cooldown.

Damage is halved for non-melee dps specs (tanks, healers, ranged dps), similar to all raid trinkets since Nighthold.

The damage done by this trinket does not scale with attack or spell power. It does scale with versatility's damage bonus and the damage bonuses of your artifact, including the tank and healer only modifiers. (It also scales with moonkin's arcane damage bonus, but why would a moonkin use a melee trinket?)

For the Guardian Druids out there: This trinket's damage IS boosted by Furia della Natura's legendary bonus. This also means that 30% of the damage it does (while you're in bear form) is given to you as healing. Use it on a large pack of mobs and watch as your health bar gets stuck at full!

This trinket is absurdly powerful when combined with Fury of Nature, especially since the trinket has the exact same cooldown as Rage of the Sleeper. This trinket's damage was regularly 6-7% of my damage done on even single target fights.

This is a very powerful AoE trinket. Even at 900 the damage effect is greater than that of the legendary trinket Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish. The legendary trinket has far stronger passive stats (and ~16% lower cooldown,) so in many situations will provide more damage overall.

Exact results will vary on versatility and artifact level, but this should give a broadly representative idea of damage from an ilvl 900 Umbral Moonglaives compared to 970 Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish:

Guardian druid, 2 targets, with RotS (Embrace of the Nightmare)
Glaives: 3.62m
Kil'jaeden's: 2.24m

Feral druid, 2 targets, with SR, TF, Berserk (4x Feral Instinct)
Glaives: 6.98m
Kil'jaeden's: 2.32m

Restoration druid, 2 targets
Glaives: 3.89m
Kil'jaeden's: 2.33m

The Umbral Moonglaives cooldown lines up perfectly with a Guardian druid's RotS. A Feral druid should have SR and TF up for each use, and Berserk (feral instinct) on half of them.
Both trinkets can be activated at the same time. Normally one "on use" trinket puts the other on a 30 second cooldown.

Although the base damage of Umbral Moonglaives is halved for non-DPS specs, an artifact weapon leveled up to Concordance of the Legionfall for those specs almost exactly reverses the reduction.
