TIP: If you have Specchio Fuoritempo from Timewalking, use it at the Throne of the Elements in Draenor version Nagrand - there is a portal right there, which will get you to Outland Nagrand in no time!

This tome teaches you the spell Maleficio. Once learned, this ability goes into your spellbook; when selecting Hex to put on your bars, you can choose from a list of options which version to use.

There are a number of Legion Toys and flavour items exclusive to Sciamano that grant spells mimicking old, removed legacy abilities.

These items are available from two vendors:

Elementalista Sharvak, located at (Throne of Elements) in Nagrand (Outland version).
Fabbro delle Fiamme Lanying, located at in Maelstrom, the Sciamano Order Hall.

Totem dell'Oratore dell'Acqua	Grants a visual effect of the Water Shield ability. 5 min cooldown. Restoration spec required
Pietra Elementale Furente	Summons a random small Elemental familiar that follows you around. 5 min cooldown.
Rannuvolatore di Girini	Mimics the Rain of Frogs ability, which used to be granted by a Minor glyph. 45 sec cooldown.
Totem del Serpente di Vol'jin	New totem that deals damage to nearby critters. 5 min cooldown.
Tomo del Maleficio: Compy	Teaches Maleficio, which causes this spell to turn your target into a Compy rather than a Frog. This used to granted by Glyph of the Compy, a minor glyph.

Tomo del Maleficio: Compy teaches you Maleficio, the spell makes you transform your enemy with hex into a Compy.
Glifo Carbonizzato (Glyph of the Compy) is removed in Legion so this item is added to keep the effect of it.
It's sold by Elementalista Sharvak in the old Nagrand at the coordinates 60.22 for 50 gold.
The item requires level 25 and the Sciamano class.

This is one of the Shaman Books added in Legion. These Class Books have similar effects to traditional glyph's. This puts a new Ability in your Spellbook.

For those, like me, who followed this link trying to find out wth a compy is, and were disappointed to find no details, a compy is a venomous, raptor-like dinosaur native to Zandalar. The trolls train them and use them as war beasts.

Now that that is cleared up, i'm left with the question of why you would think it a good move to turn an enemy into a venomous raptor...

As of Shadowlands Pre-Patch, my Shaman, who knew this spell, now no longer knows the spell. It's missing from my spell lists. Which is annoying. I haven't been to see if I can buy another copy and learn it again yet.. -_-
