I wonder what limitations it will have. Half a million is large by today's standards, after the squish, this equals insta-kill as aoe. Would expect both raids and pvp to be off-limit.

Can only have one in your bags at a time. You can however re-visit your garrison and pick up another after the hour cooldown has run out.

As of right now, it is not restricted to just Draenor, I've used it in the old world and also in the brawler's guild arena. Makes quick work of the brawler's guild fights.

Has a cast time

Creates a big red AoE mark on the targeted location with a warning caption saying that nukular launch is in progress to nearby players.

Deals roughly 100k damage to PvP targets when it crits. You will not be able to one shot a max level player but i'm pretty sure this could be awesome in large pvp fights if used by multiples players simultaneously

Can be combined with Wand of Arcane Imprisonment to great effect in Ashran.

The nuke only does around 125k damage to enemy players, but has the ability to multistrike and crit, and appears subject to damage modifiers.

Edit: Was able to test the nuke with Ashran's Ancient Artifact; every player in the radius when the nuke landed died. Incredibly satisfying.

This is currently usable in the Brawlgar Arena, making almost all the bosses very easy to defeat, especially nasty ones like Nibbleh. Enjoy!

~~~The Dataz on the Tactical Nuke~~~

Selecting the item to use it will present a very large AOE icon, akin to a larger death and decay cast or rain of fire cast, etc.

There is a short cast time of about a second on using it, which will have a boss-style "NUKULEAR LAUNCH DETECTED" alert - the target zone will be lit up with a starcraft 2 style nuke landing ring, very similar, and will have a coinciding countdown. This is helpful for making sure things are rounded up into the target location and will be within the 20 yard radius as the radius is marked VERY clearly.

There is a bright red dot at the center, with a red ring around it, which will expand to the outer ring. This is another visual time-to-impact marker, as when the central ring finishes expanding to the outer ring, the missile will land.

Unfortunately, this means it may be exceedingly obvious to enemy players, so nukular gank is likely not going to be a thing, but there are some good circumstances I can think of (elaborated down below)..

While say the sticky grenades may be used inside dungeons, the nuke may not be used in dungeons.

It is also not useable in battlegrounds.

Unfortunately some of this news is bad news and makes my urge to level my old rogue slightly diminished. But, on a positive note:

In regards to the goblin / gnomish workshop, the item can be re-obtained after it's been used (as with the normal rotation, once the item is exhausted you can obtain a duplicate for use) so multiple uses per day are doable, compensating for the hour cooldown of course.

It seems to also be useable outdoors all over the place and in the old world. This can make doing, say, the apex daily more convenient, killing rares and elites easier, etc.

Also, since you can cast it, and after casting you can move around, it can serve the function of area-denial - potentially useful in say the gurubashi arena, etc.

It does not draw aggro when cast, and thus may be used to initiate a fight on a dangerous mob, or simply kill it outright if you're leveling on a squishy class or somesuch similar situation (since you can get the siege workshop level 2 around level 94-96 in talador if you build over the barracks and opt for that path instead of the bodyguard from the barracks or increased rewards of the bunker, etc).

Edit for test results: Apparently useable in goldshire and will turn the area bright red for nuclear fallout for a short time.

The nuke seems to be visible to those nearby, and when used inside a city, may cause random people to run away / back out of the nuke.

Patch update: As of today, the nuke is no longer useable in the brawler arenas. Sad face.

The object that you pick up at the workshop looks like a big red button. Unfortunately it seems they forgot to include the "Do not push" label.

Also if some friendly targets (including yourself) happen to be in the area, the N.U.C.U.L.A.R. explosion will leave them blackened and smoking for a few seconds. No lasting damage seems to be done, so it makes for some great fireworks in your garrison.

Dropped this on a level 100 AFK warlock in Nagrand. It only did 134k damage (80108 fire damage, 20026 absorbed) to him and 50055 to his minion.

there's an amusing glitch with the item if you leave it in your bags and the timer expires while you're logged out. when you log back in there'll be a nuclear explosion on your character (causing no damage) and the items duration will have reset

There's a quite annoying bug with this item. For some reason after picking it up, it's shown up every single day without fail. Including on days where it's chosen, so ONLY it shows up.

For Mages:

Use this item, wait a second or two, then place Prismatic Crystal in the AOE radius. The resulting damage should be enough to kill most WoD open world content in a single hit, such as Commander Tome and his pack of riders in Nagrand, or any of Tanaan's 'group' rares. You can even just Ice Block after casting Prismatic Crystal and simply get a free kill this way.

My only regret is not learning about this earlier in the expansion!
