Notable Trash Mobs

Custode della Guardia del Vespros will leap to a random ranged target and silence them with Magia Sigillata

They will periodically knock away nearby players with Repulsione della Forza, dealing moderate damage

Manafiera Addomesticatas attack their threat target with Ferita Arcana, a stacking debuff that increases all damage taken by 20% for 20 seconds

Saggio Nobile Oscuros will cast Evocazione: Anomalia Astrale, creating an Anomalia Astrale add that melees its target

Sages will also cast Rovesciamento Temporale, healing all of their allies for 50% of their maximum health

Arcimaga Shal'doreis will attack random players with and buff themselves and their allies with Distorsione Temporale Superiore

Distorsione Temporale Superiore lasts for 1 minute and increases the enemies' Haste and damage dealt by 60%

The Distorsione Temporale Superiore buff can be removed by offensive dispels

In addition, Archmages will target random players with Rilascio Arcano

The player will begin to pulse, but Rilascio Arcano does not affect players until it expires

Upon expiry, Rilascio Arcano deals moderate damage to all players in its radius (including the main target) and stuns those players for 8 seconds

Targeted players should run out of the raid, and healers should dispel the Rilascio Arcano stun

If more than one Sage is allowed to freely cast Rovesciamento Temporale, the trash pack will take a very long time to die

The Rami Avvelenati patch will persist for 30 seconds

Nearby players should move away as the Rami Avvelenati spawn

Torrente d'Acqua creates a jet of water beneath its target's feet, knocking all players within 6 yards into the air

This deals moderate damage, and the player may also take Falling damage on the way back down

There is no warning graphic under the target's feet

The raid should spread out to minimize Torrente d'Acqua damage

Collasso Solare creates a ring of 12 solar flares around the targeted player's location, initially at a large radius

Two seconds later, the flares will detonate, dealing heavy damage to players within 4 yards of their locations

A new set of flares will spawn in a smaller ring, detonating after 0.5 seconds

The ring continue to rapidly shrink and detonate until it collapses on a single point in the targeted player's original location

Parasitic Fixate targets must kite!

Catene Parassitiche

Catene Parassitiche deals damage to its target every second, and each tick is 10% larger

The Catene Parassitiche target is also rooted until the debuff is removed

This debuff can be dispelled, but when it is dispelled, it spawns 2 Pianta Sferzante Parassiticas near the target

After two seconds, the Parasitic Lashers will cast Ossessione Parassitica on a nearby target

The Lashers will pursue their Ossessione Parassitica target, and gain a stack of Crescita Sfrenata every 3 seconds

Each stack of Crescita Sfrenata increases the Lasher's movement speed by 25%, and at 5 stacks the Lashers becomes immune to CC and snares

If the Lasher reaches its target, it will burrow into them, infecting that player with Catene Parassitiche

This debuff works identically to the first, but the Lashers it will spawn on dispel will have its health set to the same value the original Lasher's health was when it burrowed

Catene ParassiticheOssessione Parassitica

Healers should dispel Catene Parassitiche as soon as it is safe to do so

The freshly dispelled player should run away from the Parasitic Lashers

Use stuns or snares to prevent the Parasitic Lashers from reaching their Ossessione Parassitica targets

All ranged and any nearby melee DPS should switch to the Parasitic Lashers and kill them quickly

The Ossessione Parassitica target should run away from the Lashers until they are killed

Caos Controllato

Caos Controllato creates a series of three explosions, each one larger than the previous

A purple circle with faint purple/orange shadows will form on the targeted player's location, then detonate 4 seconds later

The detonation deals near-fatal damage to players standing inside the telegraphed area, and moderate damage to the entire raid regardless of position

As soon as one detonation occurs, the next explosion's telegraph will spawn

The first Caos Controllato explosion has a 10-yard radius

The second Caos Controllato explosion has a 20-yard radius

The third Caos Controllato explosion has a 30-yard radius

The entire raid should move away from Caos Controllato explosion locations, and keep moving until the final explosion telegraph appears

Healers should use raid CDs to recover from the three explosions' raid damage

Assalti Ricorrenti

Each of High Botanist Tel'arn's melee attacks will leave a stack of Assalti Ricorrenti on their target

Each melee attack against any target will also deal 15% of its damage to players with Assalti Ricorrenti, per stack of the debuff

The Assalti Ricorrenti debuff lasts 15 seconds, and Tel'arn uses his melee attack approximately every 2 seconds

Tanks should swap on 7 stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

This creates heavy tank damage, especially at higher Assalti Ricorrenti stacks

Tanks should use their powerful Active Mitigation when tanking above 4 Assalti Ricorrenti stacks, and use cooldowns if this overlaps with any raid damage abilities

Tank Solarist Tel'arn and High Botanist Tel'arn on top of each other

Solarist and High Botanist's health pools are linked, so cleave and multi-DoT is particularly effective

Tanks should swap tanking targets when the High Botanist tank reaches 7 stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

Location of Plasma Spheres:Solarista Tel'arnCollasso SolareEvocazione: Sfere di Plasma

Evocazione: Sfere di Plasma will summon 3 Sfera di Plasmas in fixed locations

When a Plasma Sphere is destroyed, it will release a Esplosione di Plasma, dealing heavy damage to the raid

This also debuffs all players with Esplosione di Plasma, causing them to take 100% additional damage from subsequent Esplosione di Plasmas for 5 seconds

Plasma Spheres passively lose health at a rate of 4% every 0.5 seconds, which means they will die naturally after 12.5 seconds

If all three die at once or in close succession, the raid will wipe

The raid must stagger the Plasma Sphere deaths to avoid excessive Esplosione di Plasma damage.

The best way to do this is to tank Solarist and High Botanist close to one of the Plasma Sphere spawn points

Mark a second spawn point with a world marker, and assign ranged DPS to kill that Plasma Sphere

No DPS should ever attack the third Plasma Sphere

When Plasma Spheres are summoned, all DPS should quickly kill the nearby Plasma Sphere within 2.5 seconds

This may require players to pool resources and save cooldowns/charges of powerful abilities in the seconds leading up to the Evocazione: Sfere di Plasma cast

The ranged should switch to their marked Plasma Sphere and kill it as soon as the first Esplosione di Plasma debuff wears off, no later than 7.5 seconds after spawn

Allow the third Plasma Sphere to die naturally at 12.5 seconds, and hopefully the second Esplosione di Plasma has worn off in time

Healers should use raid CDs, and players with personal defensive cooldowns should use them, in case the second Esplosione di Plasma debuff hasn't worn off in time for the third Plasma Sphere's death

Spore Tossiche

Spore Tossiche targets a random player, typically one at range from the boss

The cast summons two Spora Tossicas near the targeted player's location

These Spores will persist for up to 2 minutes

Players who touch the Spora Tossicas receive a powerful Spore Tossiche DoT effect

The Spore Tossiche DoT lasts 12 seconds and ticks every 0.5 seconds

Move away once the Spores spawn, and all raiders should try to stay away from them

Healers should focus extra healing on any player debuffed by Spore Tossiche

Players with immunities (Scudo Divino, Scudo Antimagia, Manto d'Ombra, etc.) can run through a handful of Spora Tossicas to clear them from the area if they become too dense

Bengala

All three bosses should be tanked, as they will all melee their threat targets

One tank should taunt Naturalist Tel'arn quickly to bring him into the boss pile

Tanks should still swap Arcanist on 7 stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

Throughout the fight, the ranged DPS and healers should stay spread out to minimize the number of targets affected by Tel'arn's proximity mechanics

When there is more than one boss, tank them close together for cleave damage

Use Brama di Sangue/Eroismo/Distorsione Temporale at the start of Phase 3, and be sure your DPS cooldowns are available

Tanks should swap High Botanist/Arcanist Tel'arn on 7 stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

Move out of Caos Controllato and Collasso Solare areas

Dispel Catene Parassitiche, and stun/CC/quickly kill the Parasitic Lasher

During Phase 2 and 3, tank the bosses near a Plasma Sphere spawn point

Stagger the Plasma Sphere deaths so the Esplosione di Plasma debuff has time to expire between kills

During Phase 3, a player without Richiamo della Notte needs to stand on each player with Richiamo della Notte

Pull bosses out of Grazia della Natura pools, and make sure that Grazia della Natura doesn't spawn on the Plasma Sphere location

Move away from Spora Tossicas, and use a player with immunities to clear them if they spawn too close to the raid

Tank Responsibilities

Taunt-swap High Botanist Tel'arn/Arcanist Tel'arn at 7 stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

Use Active Mitigation and cooldowns while tanking with high stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti

Move the boss(es) away from nearby Caos Controllato or Collasso Solare areas

Once Solarist Tel'arn spawns, tanks should avoid being within 4 yards of one another to limit Bengala damage

For the rest of the fight, tank the bosses near one of the Plasma Sphere spawn locations

During the final phase, keep the bosses close together

Use heavier cooldowns if tanking Arcanist and Naturalist at the same time

Begin moving the bosses away as soon as the Grazia della Natura cast begins

Move away from Spora Tossicas

Damage-Dealer Responsibilities

Ranged DPS should stay spread out for the whole fight

Freely cleave and multi-DoT the bosses since their health pools are shared

When Parasitic Lashers spawn, stun or snare them, and kill them quickly

Kill the Plasma Sphere that spawns near the bosses quickly, and kill the second Plasma Sphere just as the first Sphere's Esplosione di Plasma debuff fades

Always let one Plasma Sphere detonate on its own - do not waste damage on it

Move out of Caos Controllato and Collasso Solare areas

If targeted by Richiamo della Notte, pair up with an unaffected ally and stick together until the debuff wears off

If not affected by Richiamo della Notte, check to see if any nearby players have the debuff, and pair up with them

If targeted by Spore Tossiche, move away from the Spores when they spawn

Healer Responsibilities

This fight requires heavy tank healing; spec into strong single-target healing when possible

Tanks with high stacks of Assalti Ricorrenti will need a lot of healer attention

Use minor CDs to recover from Caos Controllato's raid damage

Use major CDs to recover from Esplosione di Plasma's raid damage

Dispel Catene Parassitiche, but check that no other players are standing too close before doing so

Players with the Catene Parassitiche or Spore Tossiche debuff will require additional healing

Naturalist Tel'arn's Catene Parassitiche will additionally create a Caos Controllato when it is dispelled

Bengala

Arcanist Tel'arn's Evocazione: Sfere di Plasma becomes Evocazione: Sfere del Caos; these act just like Plasma Spheres, but additionally create a Caos Controllato at their location when they die

Naturalist Tel'arn's Spore Tossiche will also summon a Collasso Solare at the targeted player's location

Arcanist Tel'arn's Richiamo della Notte debuff will periodically summon Spora Tossicas around its target

Solarist Tel'arn's Plasma Spheres will now spawn Parasitic Lashers at their location on death

Bengala will apply Catene Parassitiche to every player it hits, and upon dispelling Catene Parassitiche, a Caos Controllato will occur

Spore Tossiche will create a Collasso Solare at the targeted player's location each time it is cast

Parasitic Lashers are infused with Richiamo della Notte, dealing damage to the entire raid if they are within 5 yards of one another, or if they aren't within 5 yards of a player

Tel'arn will Evocazione: Sfere della Natura Caotiche, which cause both a Esplosione di Plasma and Caos Controllato upon death

This Caos Controllato will heal Tel'arn or Parasitic Lashers with Natura Caotica, if they are standing within it

Naturalist Tel'arn (removing Grazia della Natura/boss healing from the encounter)

Solarist Tel'arn (removing Bengala, and essentially Catene Parassitiche, from the encounter)

Arcanist Tel'arn

One tank will hold Naturalist Tel'arn and move him out of self-cast Grazia della Natura pools

The other two tanks hold Solarist Tel'arn and Arcanist Tel'arn and swap to manage Assalti Ricorrenti damage

The raid focuses all DPS on Naturalist Tel'arn

When Solarist and Arcanist become empowered,
Focus all DPS on Solarist Tel'arn

Players affected by Richiamo della Notte can move out to the edges of the encounter area along with an unaffected ally to soak the damage

This allows them to drop Spora Tossicas in out-of-reach areas where they will not interfere with the rest of the raid

As always, these players should avoid triggering the Spore Tossiche, as the damage from the DoT is intense

For Plasma Spheres, have melee DPS kill the nearest one, and set up AoE stuns for the Parasitic Lashers that will spawn, so the melee DPS have time to get away

Ranged can kill another Plasma Sphere and snare or stun the Parasitic Lashers that spawn from it

Set up more AoE stuns for the third Plasma Sphere's detonation

Bengala

Split Assalti Ricorrenti evenly over the 3 tanks to keep it from falling off as long as possible

This will delay or even avoid dealing with Plasma Spheres and Parasitic Lashers

Tanks should save major cooldowns for high Assalti Ricorrenti stacks, and healers should be prepared to deliver heavy tank healing

Burn Arcanist Tel'arn down with Brama di Sangue/Eroismo/Distorsione Temporale, potions, and major CDs

Players targeted by Richiamo della Notte should run out to the edges to drop their Spora Tossicas, along with their soakers (which probably should be healers or high-mobility ranged DPS)

Move away from the Caos Controllato/Collasso Solare zones

Assalti Ricorrenti

Unless Bengala is used dramatically less frequently in the final phase, this will create Caos Controllato explosions every 8-10 seconds

This requires extremely heavy raid healing, especially when Plasma Spheres are spawning

Still save Brama di Sangue/Eroismo/Distorsione Temporale for this phase

Prioritize Parasitic Lashers and staggering Plasma Sphere deaths over dealing boss damage

My raid group attempted Botanist on normal and we were getting two lashers with each fetter cast. Was only one lasher spawning on the PTR for normal?

Not sure why nobody has mentioned the incredible ironic nature of this Boss.

He is a NIGHT ELF who uses SUN-THEMED powers.

He's a practical oxymoron.

Has anyone managed to solo this guy? The damn rooting attack gets me over and over. It seems inescapable and unblockable.

You can use Restorative Potion to remove HIgh Botanist Telarn's spell Parasitic Fetter in the Legion raid instance The Nighthold.

It has worked a couple of times on my lvl 120 Warrior and lvl 120 Demon Hunter. In Recount it says that Parasitic Fetter has been dispelled by "Restoration". Just be aware that the tooltip of the potion clearly states that there is a "reduced chance against effects inflicted by enemies higher than level 42", so it might not work every time. But the potion has not failed for me yet, so maybe it has a higher chance of succeding when used against targets that are lower levels than your toon? Just a guess... But give it a chance - you might get lucky ;)

Warriors, by the way, can use Bladestorm to prevent Parasitic Fetter. But as Parasitic Fetter can be cast in quick succession you might not have your Bladestorm off cooldown the second time around, making Restorative Potion come in handy.

Death Knights can us Wraith Walk. Druids can use shapeshifting. Paladins can use bubble and Blessing of Freedom. Mages can blink and Iceblock. Rogues can use Cloak of Shadow. So most classes have an ability that can counter this spell, at least once during the fight.

But for classes that don't have an ability that counter Parasitic Fetter (e.g. Demon Hunters), or when Parasitic Fetter is cast twice in a row, Restorative Potion might be worth giving a try.

Unable to solo in heroic as 120 havoc demon hunter (ilevel 408) due to Parasitic Fetter disabling too many crucial DH abilities—including Fel Rush, Vengeful Retreat, Metamorphosis and Blade Dance. Being unable to generate much fury takes away Eye Beam as well. I've soloed him successfully in normal, but with most of my dps disabled I can't burn him fast enough to survive the root in heroic. Any 120 ranged or any melee with a dispel should be able to do it easily with sub-400 gear.

I am a very casual player, no gear and little knowledge. I just soloed on a very squishy lvl 55 Demonology Warlock after reading a buried tip on Bliz forums. He killed me three times before learning about the tip, but on the fourth try, I changed to my Imp and made a macro: /cast Singe Magic. Every time he rooted me, I hit my macro and ran like hell, doing all the damage I could and draining life to keep from dying. It took a while, but this worked on the first try. Oh, and I cleared the area of trash beforehand because I knew I would need to run around and didn't want to pull anything extra. I wish you the best. You may have to dig, but hopefully every class has special skill, spell/pet spell, or potion to help you take down this menace.

ilevel 200 BM Hunter. Can't burn down the third one fast enough to solo Mythic. Oh, well.
