Totem della Vilscarica will spawn periodically throughout the fight, which will stun you for 5 seconds if they complete their cast. They have only 1 hp and will instantly die from any targeted damage. Letting one cast go through is generally a wipe.

Vilscarica - An interruptable cast that deals a heavy fel damage on completion. He casts this every 12-15 seconds, and you will need to use crowd control to stop the cast if your interrupt is on cooldown.

Terremoto - Drops rocks in three spots around the area. Jormog il Behemoth will tunnel under the ground and do laps around the room, occasionally surfacing. When he surfaces, he will then charge at you shortly after. You want Jormog il Behemoth to charge into as many of the rocks that fell during Terremoto as you can. Hitting a rock will remove a stack of Vilscaglie Indurite. If you are hit by Jormog il Behemoth during his charge, you will be stunned for 5 seconds and may die.

Uovo di Sputabile - An add that will spawn following Terremoto. If Uovo di Sputabile is not killed before it's cast finishes, it will spawn a Sputabile. The amount of these will gradually increase as long as Tugar is alive.

Sputabile - A stationary add that will spawn swirlies under the player which will do minor damage.

Vilfolgore - An unavoidable DoT that deals a small amount of damage.

Jormog il Behemoth

Vilscaglie Indurite - A damage reduction buff, that starts with 9 stacks. A stack is removed when Jormog collides with a rock from Terremoto.

Urlo Sonico - Periodic cast which deals moderate sonic damage and interrupts the player. This can be stopped with crowd control.

Saliva Vilinfusa - Instant attack which deals minor fire damage.

This is a long encounter, easily lasting upwards of eight minutes or longer. Make sure to set aside enough time to focus on it for the entire duration.

Interrupt Vilscarica! Not doing so will instantly kill you or your pet. Tugar will cast it approximately every 15 sec so you won't be able to Tiro di Contrasto every one. You'll have to alternate with Trappola Congelantes to successfully negate every cast.

Totem della Vilscarica will spawn periodically, channeling for 5 sec. It's very easy to kill as it only has 1 hp, but not doing so will instantly wipe you. Swap to this as quickly as possible. Usually this will overlap with a cast of Vilscarica. If you get stunned by Jormog at this point it might also cause you to miss the cast

Use the rocks from Terremoto to ideally remove all stacks of Vilscaglie Indurite before starting the second phase.

Alternate Intimidazione and Tiro Disorientante on Jormog to ensure he doesnt get casts of Urlo Sonico off, as these do heavy damage to you. Note the short range of Tiro Disorientante and ensure you're always in range.

Use your defensives Fermezza dell'Orso, Fuga Curativa and Legge del Più Forte to mitigate damage from Vilfolgore and Saliva Vilinfusa and to recover from potential mistakes. Aspetto della Tartaruga is nice if your pet dies and you need a breather while avoiding incoming damage.

My counter shot would not interrupt Tugar's fel burst spell. I'm not sure if it was glitched or what, but it failed each time I tried. I had to use intimidation and frost trap.

I am having issues when I revive my pet that my pet cannot take aggro from me, Bloodtotem stays on me, even when I misdirect, manual growl (have growl activated), feign death...nothing is getting aggro so I die.

My experience on MT:-
- once u interrupt, stay near boss for trap to travel faster
- intimidation on cd at worm when casting sonic, exhilaration on 40ish% (meaning 2xsonic dmg)
- earthquake phase, when worm comes up marking to charge on you, stand near rocks. Once worm submerged and charge on you, avoid
- once boss is dead, interrupt worm with stun and trap

Use potions of prolonged power, they're WAY better. Also use a spirit beast, you'll need the healing for yourself and you pet takes almost no damage anyway as long as you get your kicks/stuns/traps. Use trinkets like an IQD and the healer darkmoon deck, because your dps doesn't really matter so long as you can survive. Also go vers >>> anything, the survivability is more important, and vers is fine for damage as well. I killed it with 800 dps and 150 hps. Took 11 minutes.

How to deal with Sonic:
1. If you have time, cast Scare Beast on Jormog

4. Exhilaration after if needed

If you do the tactic having Jormog at end when he enraged.
Cycle between Intimidation, Freezing Trap, Turtle, Scare Beast

Took me about 50 tries. Could have done it in 30, but I decided to disengage off the platform when the worm was dead, because I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to wipe another 20 times.

First time I killed Tugar with the worm up, I was dead so quick that it felt impossible to deal with the enraged worm from 100-0.

Found that after removing the stacks from the worm, I would just kill that before Tugar. Got the stacks off the worm around 4 mins into the fight, waited for 2nd pot, bloodlusted and nuked the worm. Still took 2-3 phases of the worm before it was killed.

Ferocity pet, no special gear, just gear from current raid (SoD).

Scare Beast is the single most useful spell in this fight. If you're going the fight enraged worm route just take it slow, once it gets close to cast time just stop casting yourself so that your gcd is up and that you have the focus to cast scare beast. Becomes a cake walk with some patience to scare beast the worm consistently.

I just completed the challenge and it is a bit more forgiving when you use your toolkit and macros wisely!

Macros that were a MUST for me:
Target Fel Surge Totem with Cobra shot ( that way you can instantly take it down when it pops up, and otherwise it will function as a normal Cobra Shot)
Freezing Trap @ cursor
Counter Shot Focus @ target and Intimidation @ Focus target
Target Jormog the Behemoth and cast Scare Beast

I can add the specific code for the macros if anyone wants it, but you can easily write them with help from the macro section of the hunter guide :)

Other tips:
The number one tip is obviously that Fel Burst has the top priority! Concentrate on rotating Counter Shot, Freezing Trap, and Intimidation to interrupt Tugar. Get in close with Freezing Trap and try to use it when there is a lull in the fight and use the other two abilities when its more hectic with adds.

Sonic Scream in P1 isn't mandatory to interrupt, but cast Scare Beast on Jormog if you are at a lull in the fight. I maybe interrupted two in the entire fight.

If you let a cast of Fel Burst get off and your pet dies, don't panic! You can come back from one or two pet deaths! You can either turtle and revive pet or freeze Tugar and revive. Just be careful of the other damage and swirls and DON'T let Jormog Sonic Scream to interrupt your cast.

Use a Ferocity pet. I used a Core Hound and I was today years old when I realized that I was healed through leech from Mend Pet. This trivializes the unavoidable damage. Pretty much use Mend Pet on cooldown.

As soon as Tugar goes down, clear the adds and bloodlust/burst down Jormog when he surfaces. Sonic Scream is mandatory to interrupt during this phase, so rotate between Scare beast, Intimidation, and Freezing Trap.

Finally after more than 100 trys (yeah, no pro here ;P) I managed it too.

What I found out and what I think you should keep in mind.

- DBM + Challanges mostly doesnt show you the correct time. But the sound warning is correct, though if you arent prepared, you wont be able to use your trap in time. Also you have to react very fast for the Sonic scream cast. When there is earthquake and he summons the eggs, hell start his one shot ability directly after setting up the totem. So if you have your pet stun and your ranged silence shot on CD, you have to stop your other attacks and wait for him until DBM gives you the warning. You cant react when something is on global cooldown. You have to have it ready, when you have to use your trap.

- dont go into the last phase with worms. I lost a try because of this. You can kind of avoid their casts, but you cant cast fear on him then, which of course will kill you

- macro issues: mostly you will have your stun macro targeted for the tauren. But in the last phase his body still lays on the ground, so it will target him instead of the big worm you actually want to interrupt. Here you have to create a second button for the last phase, that stuns the worm. Same goes for the totem in p1, which will be targetable some seconds after its death, but this is a minor dps loss. You only lose a bit of dps here.

- the pet skill obsidian skin works at the beginning as a counter to the one shot ability, but not later. Dunno why, probably because of more worms later on.

- I used the core hound. I never had to heal him. Maybe a spirit beast is better for phase 1, but I wouldnt miss out on blood lust for the last phase and I dunno if you can switch it during the phase transfer.

Gl. Its possible without any special gear (only had the legion gloves for 3 gems, but didnt farm anymore)

1. Get some useful macro and addons from wowhead guide (targeted interrupts, cc's on mouseover, addons such as weakauras and dbm).
2. Master your rortation for interrupts and other cc's. Most important step.
3. When you're comfortable with cc's you can minmax your dps by positioning Tugar close to secondary targets (worm, adds, etc).
4. If needed, whatch from my video how to recover from any "oh sh!t" situation (i do variaty of mistakes in this video, some are terrible, but not fatal).
5. This is not a dps check fight. You don't need any special gear or food. It's nice to have and it helps, but knowing when and what to do is more valuable.

I went full versatility gear for this one and it made the fight so much smoother. I ended up around 28 % versatility inside, Sonic Scream did around 11 % less damage than in pve gear. This made it so much more doable and relaxer incase you missed one Scare Beast.

This was the last fight I needed to complete all my transmog sets. Done all 12 classes and this one is a complete walk in the park. It took me 5 attempts. I don’t play hunter and I’m not amazing (frost mage challenge took me 50 attempts when most people do it in less than a dozen) but this fight is very simple and BM has the damage and tools to deal with it without issues. I used my typical focus macros, example:

I have other key binds to set my focus. The hardest part is getting used to pre casting scare beast. The interrupt rotation is simple: counter, intimidation, trap. When the worm had 6 stacks left I started focusing on him cos the Tauren was too low. If I put the Tauren in a trap to interrupt I would leave him there for the full duration. I killed the Tauren when the worm was sub 20% and the final phase is very simple with scare beast and intimidation rotation to interrupt all the sonics.

It took me about 7 minutes, it’s a long fight but it’s all about staying alive by interrupting the bosses. For reference, when I did this in my disc priest it took me 11 min!

I also didn't realize this interaction existed, and it's -extremely- powerful when you compare it against Hunter healing sources (i.e. Exhilaration and that's pretty much it). The thing that makes it so wildly powerful is that overhealing with Mend Pet counts for Leech. Additionally, using Animal Companion -doubles- the healing power. Both pets are healed via Mend Pet, and you get 15% of the amount healed by both of them.

I took a WeakAura I had lying around to put a Mend Pet icon on my screen if the pet was under 90% and Mend Pet wasn't up and changed it to be if -my- health was under 90% and Mend Pet wasn't up. This was all I needed. I was able to save both Exhilaration and Aspect of the Turtle for mistakes, and you never need to bother with interrupting Sonic Scream in phase 1.

You do get to low health. When the worm switches to his burrow phase, you'll be at about 20-40% health even though the Mend Pet spam. Don't panic though, nothing in the burrow phase does damage (I've survived that phase with sub-5%). Just keep up Mend Pet and you'll be at 100% or very close when the worm comes up again.

TL;DR: Use a Ferocity pet (15% leech). Use the Animal Companion talent (2 Mend Pet targets). Press Mend Pet to restore ~15% of your HP over 10 seconds.

Missed the detail that, if this fight functions exactly like it did in Legion, that if for any reason your pet looses aggro they CANNOT get it back. The fight is designed so the aggro swap is permanent, and no matter how many Growls your pet does or the DPS they do, even if you completely stop attacking and just dodge things, Tugar will focus exclusively on you and it will be next to impossible to beat the fight this way.

Hello my Fellow BM hunters!

I cannot stress enough, use Contenitore di Semi Devastato and if you can get your hands on Catena d'Odio, I saved pod ONLY for the eggs and it worked wonders, the hateful chain trinket was pretty good too, managed to keep me up and do quite a bit of damage, Also use Pozione della Furia Sfrenata at the start and it will give you time to use it another time, made it a bit easier, stick to mechanics and you got this, good luck!

This challenge is an 8 minute interrupt test. The difficulty comes from BM's lack of self healing, which is why it is imperative that you interrupt the enemy casts.

Vilscarica is the single most important ability to interrupt and shutdown because it one-shots your pet which renders you useless. Urlo Sonico deals non-lethal damage (when not enraged) and it is OKAY to miss it a few times. I opted to burn both Tugar Bloodtotem and Jormog the Behemoth evenly so there was no enrage phase at all. Since Jormog the worm has 90% dmg reduction until his stacks are removed, I simply ignored him entirely until he was around 5-6 stacks of his buff, at which point I "started" to introduce a little bit of passive cleave damage off Tugar. When Jormog's stacks are off completely, lust and focus him down until both bosses are dying evenly.

Establishing your Interrupts + Cooldowns on the opening is essential.

Interrupts for Tugar Bloodtotem – Vilscarica
Tiro di Contrasto + Tiro Disorientante - These should be your primary interrupts for Fel Burst
Trappola Congelante - Use this as a backup Fel Burst interrupt or to buy time for Counter Shot / Scatter Shot

Just make sure to watch your feet for falling rocks.

I decided to take this challenge on recently to get bear form and the mount. I completed 6 of them in 10.1.7 and the healer challenge just after 10.2 dropped. On each of the challenge pages it listed what is considered the easiest spec, which is what I used for each:

The Highlord's Return: Guardian Druid took me less than 10 attempts
Feltotem's Fall: BM Hunter (main) took me less than 10 attempts. I had completed all 3 Hunter challenges (Feltotem, Highlord, and the twins) in Legion and was familiar with these 3 fights already.
Thwarting the Twins: Frost Mage took me about 50 attempts
Closing the Eye: Havoc DH took me about 40 attempts
An Impossible Foe: Fury Warrior took me about 60 attempts
The God-Queen's Fury: Ret Paladin took me about 10 attempts
End of the Risen Threat: Mistweaver Monk took me about 30 attempts because I was interrupting at the wrong time in phase 1… only took me 3 attempts after making it past phase 1.

General Tips:

All characters were equipped in full 402 Time Rift and Dream Surge gear, Time Rift trinkets, and the 415 Dream Surge weapons. I did DF enchants and used DF flask and Sharpening stones on each attempt. Used feral hide drums as well but no DPS pots or food.
First and foremost, this is about the mechanics. Your primary focus should be to understand how to respond to each mechanic and be able to each one accordingly. Most mechanics are unforgiving.
I highly recommend creating a new talent loadout and moving spells/abilities you don’t need out of the way. Checkout your class specific talent recommendations, there are some common talents that you don’t need, like group utility and some often unused talents that can be very helpful like fury warrior Wrecking Throw. Mistweaver recommended a different build for each phase, which was very helpful.
Ensure that your main abilities (defensives and DPS CD's) are key bound or readily available to see/manage CDs and to use them in a timely fashion. For fury I had 2 DPS CD macros, one with Spear and Avatar and the other with Ravager and Reckless. Spear and Reckless I did as I was always positioning myself to deal with the adds.
Use macros where you can. For The Twins, I used a /target macro with Comet Storm to quickly switch to Hands and to generally saved that CD to drop quick DPS on the hands. For ret paladin I used with Hammer of Justice.
Turn off music and ambience noise. Turn up dialog. Turn sound effects down. These challenges emote their effects really well and can help you respond. You can of course use DBM and timers to manage the mechanics, I used DBM and tried to watch upcoming mechanics timers too, but most of the time, hearing the callout was good to "click the button" that responded to it (interupt, switch target, DPS CD, defensive CD, etc).
Use Plater addon, especially for An Impossible Foe. I didn’t use it until this challenge, but I found myself struggling to find the right imps to focus and to manage their HP. This really helped.
Most challenges require you to be able to execute your rotation and do decent DPS to beat the clock (mechanics overwhelming you).
I am a hunter main. Other than that, I'm average at best on all of the other classes. I used the Hekili addon to help me manage my rotations during the fights. I generally ignored DPS CDs as those are usually saved to manage certain mechanics/adds.
Don’t give up. They are all doable. Take breaks, if you are failing, especially to execute a mechanic a few times in a row revisit the guide or a youtube tutorial, maybe you're missing something. It's simply about learning the mechanics and then getting into the routine to respond to them, like any raid progression… as you get farther into fights you have less attempts on the new mechanics so master them one at a time.

BM Tips:

I used a spirit beast, but as others pointed out leech with a ferocity pet is better. Keep an eye on pet HP and generally keep mend pet on CD.
Use the macros in the guide or ones that work for you.
Use the /target fel surge totem macro with cobra shot.
Definitely use one for scatter/intimidate @ Jormog.
You can turtle a sonic scream if you mess up timing with scatter/intimidate.
use freezing trap to alternate interrupting Tugar. macro /target tugar with counter shot to get your target back quickly too.

Patch 11.0.7, just beat it, man what a rush! Definitely doable, did it with a poorly geared Beast Mastery Hunter ~ 581 iLVL alt, no specific gear farming.

Confirmed TWW Tier Set Bonus do not work, but Cyrce's Circlet does, however given that it is scaled down to 120 it's probably not a BiS Ring for your class.
Gear was random junk with haste on it, but did buy Darkmoon Deck: Ascension (250g on AH) apparently scaling is messed up so it gives a healthy Versatility buff (+823).

Definite key is the various expansion buffs as found on the Guides, old main-stat consumables increased Agility by almost 20% (+another 119pts to 659-778) over the scaled gear, namely Boralus Blood Sausage and the BFA main stat flask and SL Augment rune. Also used War-Scrolls for 3% Stamina and AP boosts.

REALLY helps to use fight specific Macros for the three Interrupts (Tugar, Jormog, and the Fel Surge Totem)

Took me ~120 or so tries to get a perfect run in, 95% mechanics fight so enough reps to calmly learn the all the interrupt timings and not panic (saving GCDs to make sure Frost Trap could be used as interrupt etc). Ran through the motions until the worm lost all stacks, then took it down to ~50% before finishing off Tulgar and burning the worm. Winning run was around 3.3K DPS (was definitely not amazing, alt class, so probably poor usage of timed boosts etc) about a 6min fight. Didn't use any DPS potions, and didn't need my health pot on the winning run.

Took about 15 or so tries, did 3.7k overall. My best advice is make sure you pay attention to where the worm is underground and when the tauren is casting earthquake try to do as much damage to the eggs as possible..use mend literally on CD mine died on my succesful run so I went into turtle and revived it as well.
