Quick Tips

Interact with the Oxygen-Rich Membrane to gain its buff before the encounter begins.

Maintain the Bioluminescenza buff whilst fighting the boss on its platform.

Bioluminescenza is gained via Pufferfish Nube Bioluminescente for non-tanks and Biomassa Radiante for tanks.

Taunt swap each time your Biomassa Radiante debuff times out.

Avoid swimming in open water with Bioluminescenza, as this triggers Sguardo dalle Profondità!

Move 25-35 yards away from the boss when Impulso Sismico is cast.

Remain spread 5 yards throughout the fight to avoid triggering the Antenne Bioelettriche damage.

Chase the boss and interrupt its Cavitazione cast when it moves to a new platform.

Avoid touching Medusa Acquascura when moving from platform to platform.

Oxygen-Rich MembraneBefore you head into the water and before the encounter begins, all players should interact with the Oxygen-Rich Membrane that can be found in several places along the path towards the boss.

This will grant you the Oxygen-Rich Membrane buff which permanently grants you underwater breathing and 100% increased swim speed.

Players without this buff will inevitably die due to drowning, or at least will struggle to deal with the bosses abilities due to their lowered movement speed.

Click on the Oxygen-Rich Membranebefore the fight begins!

Behemoth Abilities & StrategyProfondità Oscure and Bioluminescenza Profondità Oscure

This debuff reduces all incoming healing by 100% and is permanent.

Shield spells still function normally and completely ignore the 100% reduced incoming healing.

The Profondità Oscure buff can only be removed by gaining Bioluminescenza.

Pesce Palla Brillasquame

These adds do not have any abilities and will not attack players in any way.

When a pufferfish is killed, it will spawn a large Nube Bioluminescente around it that lasts for 20 seconds.

Moving into the cloud will give players the Bioluminescenza buff for 45 seconds.

Move into the Nube Bioluminescente to removethe Profondità Oscure debuff!

Pesce Palla BrillasquameBioluminescenza

The second pufferfish should then be killed 40-45 seconds later, as to allow the raid to regain their Bioluminescenza buff.

The boss will leave a platform after 1 min 30 seconds, meaning that 2 Bioluminescenza buffs back to back is enough to keep the raid healable at all times.

The Nube Bioluminescente will despawn after 20 seconds, so killing a single pufferfish at a time is vital for keeping the Bioluminescenza buff active on the raid.

The boss will also spam cast Bioelectric Discharge if there is no player in melee combat with it, dealing heavy raid wide damage.

Tanks instead gain Bioluminescenza from the Biomassa Radiante debuff applied via the bosses melee hits.

This 15 second debuff deals moderate nature ticking damage whilst also applying the Bioluminescenza buff.

Tanks should taunt off of one another every 15 seconds as to ensure that both of them can receive healing.

This also acts as a way of resetting the bosses other tank mechanic, Ferocia Famelica, which grants the boss a stacking 8% attack speed increase which only drops upon hitting a different tank.

Sguardo dalle ProfonditàBioluminescenzaSguardo dalle Profondità

If the player does not return to the platform, or if their Bioluminescenza doesn't time out before the Sguardo dalle Profondità triggers, they will be instantly killed.

Players must ensure that do not stray into the open waters whilst their Bioluminescenza buff is active.

Stay out of open waters when you have Bioluminescenza!

Spina TossicaSpina Tossica

This debuff deals a small amount of ticking damage over its 12 second duration.

This ability is present in the encounter to ensure that players actually get the Bioluminescenza buff, as they will need a small amount of attention from the healers to out-heal the damage.

Impulso SismicoImpulso Sismico

This damage falls off with distance. Players should ensure that they are around 25-35 yards away from the boss to keep damage to reasonable levels.

Players also need to make sure they are not pushed off of the platform and into open waters, as otherwise they will become targets for the Sguardo dalle Profondità one shot mechanic.

There is a small window of time after the Impulso Sismico cast has ended where the boss will not cast Bioelectric Discharge, giving the tanks time to swim back to the boss.

Impulso SismicoAntenne Bioelettriche

If the boss finds any players within 5 yards of each other, each player will take a moderate burst of nature damage.

This damage does not scale on the amount of players hit (e.g: If 10 players are clumped up, they will all take 44k damage, the same as if there were just 2 players together).

Players should avoid stacking up as much as possible. This is easily done if players take the initiative to swim above or below their allies as to help spread whilst remaining on the platform.

This ability is active whilst players are collecting the Bioluminescenza buff from the Nube Bioluminescente. Players should just take the buff as soon as possible and then spread to minimise the amount of damage they take via Antenne Bioelettriche.

Spread 5+ yards to avoid the Antenne Bioelettriche!

Cavitazione

Upon reaching its destination, the boss will begin to cast Cavitazione. This 32 second long interruptible cast will deal very high damage to the raid every 2 seconds upon completion.

The raid must reach the boss and interrupt it before the Cavitazione cast has the chance to complete.

During this cast, the boss will not scan the raid or deal damage via Antenne Bioelettriche.

Corrente Ascensionale

Moving into a Corrente Ascensionale will grant the player increased movement speed. On normal mode this also removes your Bioluminescenza buff.

This is key, as players cannot swim to the next platform with the Bioluminescenza buff, as they will be in open water which will trigger Sguardo dalle Profondità.

Whilst the Corrente Ascensionale buff is active, players will automatically swim forward.

Corrente Ascensionales give a big swim speed increase!

Medusa Acquascura

Moving into a jellyfish deals applies an 8 second dot. On higher difficulties this also applies Bioluminescenza.

Players should avoid these jellyfish as to minimise the amount of damage they take along the route, as they are unable to be healed during this time.

Cavitazione

At this point the fight repeats, with 2 new pufferfish that the raid needs to kill 45 seconds apart from one another as to keep the Bioluminescenza buff.

The only difference between platforms is that the second and third platforms have several cracks in them. Swimming above these gaps count as open water.

Players need to ensure that they keep the time above these gaps to a minimum, as to prevent the Sguardo dalle Profondità one shot from occurring.

Players must kill the boss before they run out of Bioluminescenza sources to keep themselves healable.

Players must instead wait for their Bioluminescenza buff to time out before travelling to the next platform to chase down the boss.

By killing the Pesce Palla Brillasquame at the beginning of each platform, and then again 45 seconds later, the Bioluminescenza buff will time out shortly after the boss moves to another platform.

Medusa AcquascuraAculeo LuminosoBioluminescenza

This will trigger Sguardo dalle Profondità - instantly killing the player 5 seconds later.

Players need to take extra care not to touch any jellyfish when travelling from platform to platform.

Mythic DifficultyBarbiglio Penetrante

6 seconds later, that player will take a lethal damage split between all players within the targeting beam.

The raid needs to have multiple players stand within the beam to help split the damage, ideally with a minimum of 5-6 players.

Players should attempt to spread along the beams length, rather than be clumped up within it, as otherwise they will take Antenne Bioelettriche damage.

The marked player should generate as much distance as they can between themselves and the boss as to give the rest of the raid this space in which to spread.

A rule that might help you with soaking this ability is: Ranged players help soak beams targeted at a ranged player and melee help soak beams targeted at melee.

Players on later platforms need to be careful not to stand in "open waters" whilst soaking a Barbiglio Penetrante, as they will be marked and one shot if they remain out there for too long.

Players with immunity capabilities should do so whilst all other players move out of the beam to avoid taking unnecessary and lethal damage.

This ability cannot be negated via "vanish" spells, such as Vanish, Feign Death and Invisibility, as this just makes the cast complete instantly which deals damage to anyone within the beam.

Soak the Barbiglio Penetrante whilst being spread 5 yards from one another!

Antenne BioelettricheBarbiglio Penetrante

This is notable when it comes to the Antenne Bioelettriche damage, as triggering this damage can set your healers behind massively.

We recommend that you avoid triggering this damage as much as possible, especially when the group goes to collect their Bioluminescenza buff from the Nube Bioluminescente spawned from the corpse of a Pesce Palla Brillasquame.

Players should attempt to remain spread throughout the Bioluminescenza gaining process, by entering from different angles and heights as well as entering at different times before spreading back out very quickly afterwards.

We don't personally think it is necessary to assign groups of players to enter at different times, instead each individual should make their own judgement call as to whether or not it is safe to grab the Bioluminescenza buff at that moment.

Some Antenne Bioelettriche damage is inevitably going to trigger during this buff gaining point, making this time the best point for large healing and damage reduction cooldowns.

Nothing else should change about this process in comparison to lower difficulties: grab your Bioluminescenza buff at the beginning and half way through each platform phase.

Will it be possbile to click the buff from the pufferfish away?

Probably worth noting that there isn't any reason to delay Heroism/Lust for later in the encounter. Kill the first puffer fish, allow players a couple seconds to spread, and pop hero with your cooldowns. (don't waste CD's on the fish, but you WILL need to prepot before the puffer.)

Today on raid invis from mage and vanish didnt work on barb evade

Did LFR on my alt and was zoned to this boss. I couldn't find Oxygen Rich membrane nearby and drowned. Is there one at the boss?
Edit: There is one at the end of the tunnel before the boss. If you arrived at the boss, you would need to go over the abyss backward a bit to get it.
