Indeed. Armor should have about 2 or 3 model sets for every armor type, but most Weapons should have Unique Models, just as Important NPCs (Waitin' for Saurfang's Unique Model).
Who is currently MIA on the beta at the moment I believe.

Yup. Wouldn't be surprised if Saurfang has retired lorewise...
1. He's old.
2. He fought and also lost his son in Northrend.
3. Did I mention that he's old?
Would be nice to see a character go that way (for a change) rather than dying or just standing around forever, IMO.

How are Paladins functioning right now? After playing some on the PTR it looks like they are being massively changed, especially their tanking style. Any news from the beta servers on this?

I hate to ask something so trivial, but I wonder if Varian Wrynn is still hanging around in Stormwind somewhere? I have two characters with

in their banks, which I really ought to turn in for
quest
credit, but I just haven't been able to bring myself to part with yet, so I wonder whether Cata is the deadline.
Yup, Varian's still there.
@Sutasafaia: Only played one at low/mid-level on the beta, but they're much more fun to play now IMO. Not sure if the tanking style is that much different really... Main difference would probably be that you use crusader strike (pretty much your heroic strike) for single target threat while HotR is your cleave.
@haggers: Only ran instances as shadow on my beta priest so far but from what I've seen in videos and other people I've played with, disc priests should be using it for sure. I'd call it more than a nifty mana regen tool though since Atonement makes your smites heal the tank for pretty respectable ammounts and the Archangel buff itself gives +healing so might be worth trying to keep it up. (depending on your playstyle... should be able to manage without it as well) Not sure about holy though.

ok and one other question at the present stage in beta for a holy priest is it better to get the 3%haste and reduced cooldown on fade and shadow feind rather then specing into archangel for rotational benifits?

How much will we benefit from Spirit? Since it will be removed on all our gear...
Will we be able to gain any soulshards mid combat by using soul drain or is this completely removed?
And ofc some more info about the fact that we can summon a Doomguard at will now.
Will it remove our other pet or is it an extra dps burst?
Do I need to do the Doomguard quest first?

zero. you kinda answered your own question :P if spirit is being removed from your gear, the reason is because you won't use it anymore xD.
spirit is only for healers, with the exeption of Elemental shamans and Balance druids, who are the only caster DPS who will still use it. mages and warlocks no longer gain any benefit from it, so a warlock stacking spirit, would be like a rogue stacking intelect.

yep, all the pets of the warlock (imp, voidwalker, succubus, fel hunter, infernal, and doomguard) still require quests, only exeptions are the fel guard and the horses. since one is obtained via talents, and the other still has a quest, but can also be trained directly.

nope, since soulshards have been revamped it would be grossly overpowered if you could recharge them in-combat, as it's new effects are rather devastating.
well, there are only 2 ways to regen shards. Soul Harvest, is a channeled spell, 30 sec CD; for 9 secs you channel this stuff on yourself, every 3 secs you gain 5% of your max HP, and a single soul shard, at the end of the 9 sec duration you have reloaded all shards but this can't be used during combat.
second way to gain soul shards is the good'ol way, Soul Drain. if an enemy that grants exp or honor dies while being drained you gain 3 shards ipsofacto, but only if the target dies while being drained. this spell no longer randomly generates shards during the drain, only when the drained target dies and only if he died while under the effects of this spell.
third way to gain shards is with the shadowburn spell, this spell no longer consumes a soul and if used to kill an enemy and the enemy dies 5 secs or less after being shadowburned then all 3 of your shards will be reloaded
it's ok though, since the skill to consume souls to empower your next spell (soul burn) has a 45 sec cooldown.
most boss fights are tailored to last about 5-8 minutes so you can burn those shards sporadically during that time, rather than all 3 instantly.
And ofc some more info about the fact that we can summon a Doomguard at will now.
u'd have to define what do you mean with "at will" as far as I know, the spell remains unchanged, you need to dismiss your pet, summon the doomguard, and after 45 secs (65 if talended) it will despawn. To my knoledge you can't summon it if you already have a pet out (this goes for all classes, nobody can have 2 combat pets, ever)

both :P it removes your pet, and it is an extra DPS burst, as the doomguard easily outdamages any other pet you have, it's regular melee is about 4 times stronger than the fel guard and that's saying something, not to mention that most demo talents affect him now. Not for nothing he has a 10 min CD.
when you have him up, dismiss your pet, summon this bad-boy and watch those numbers rise up. you can then use a soulshard to instant-summon the felguard after the doomguard leaves.
I say felguard because afliction and destruction probably benefit more of their standard pets (felhunter for afli and imp for destro) due to the way their talents are tailored, plus they don't have any talents that benefit the doomguard..............

Doomguard and Infernal will not remove your pet (but they last for a very short time) and I'm fairly certain they're removing the quests for them. (demon quests are still on beta, but most classes lost their class quests and gained some new ones for items etc)

is timed healing comming back from classic or just the mana use/regen. eg like in MC when you had to start casting greater heal before the boss hit the tank to prevent him going splat, or is it still soft caped like wotlk where you heal after the damage?
