Legendaries: Slick Ice

This fight mostly consists of using anima powers granted by the trash mobs around the boss.

Try to pick abilities that give damage procs, as they scale the best. Damage increases are also good.

Use Ice Barrier when soaking Remnant of Forgotten Torments as needed. Ice Block will not remove the torment debuffs.

Use Ice Block to avoid lethal damage from Annihilating Smash. This attack follows Chains of Eternity.

Shimmer, Soulshape, and Alter Time are useful during Hungering Mist.

At 10% health The Jailer's Gaze activates. Prepare for the boss to be kited, try to remain central while dealing damage. This is a good time for the group to use Time Warp.

Use Mirror Image during The Jailer's Gaze to avoid having the boss target you.

Use Ice Block to drop stacks of Scorn or Ire.

Positioning away from the beam is important when Annihilating Glare activates. Use Shimmer to teleport through the beam to avoid having to make large movements. Soulshape also works but is a bit harder to time.

In the last stage, Immediate Extermination causes this fight to get much harder and reduces healing. I recommend having Mirror Image, Alter Time, and Ice Block ready for damage events while this debuff is stacking.

Shimmer and Alter Time can be used to counter Wings of Rage and Reverberating Refrain.

If soaking Aradne's Falling Strike use Alter Time to return to your initial position and health.

Use Ice Block to solo soak Arthura's Crushing Gaze if targeted. Make sure to call this so your raid knows you don't need help!

Blizzard should be used any time targets are stacked.

Managing knockback from Malevolence is a big part of this fight. Mages have many tools such as Shimmer, Alter Time, and Ice Block to avoid getting knocked off the platform by bad positioning.

When orbs are hit by Suffering they become vulnerable. Try to Blizzard these targets with the boss.

Use Ice Barrier to help avoid damage from Malevolence.

Shimmer and Alter Time are useful for Torment since you will need to make large movements to avoid the waves. Standing near Garrosh's side of the room is advised.

Brand of Torment should be used to increase damage taken by Mawsworn. If you get this debuff, try to put the Mawsworn in the circle with you.

Mages are great for snapping Warmonger Shackle, since we have Shimmer and Alter Time to quickly break chains.

Use damage mitigation like Mirror Image during Warmonger Shackle.

Counterspell should be used to interrupt Mawsworn.

Don't forget that Arcane Explosion can be used to damage adds during heavy movement.

Blizzard should be used on cooldown to deal damage to adds affected by Brand of Torment.

Legendaries: Slick Ice

Typically I recommend against playing Frost for this fight. Play Arcane or Fire instead.

Use Shimmer to jump through Spiked Balls or Spike Walls.

Use Alter Time can also be used by activating the buff, waiting for the wall to pass, then using the spell.

Use damage mitigation like Mirror Image at the end of the intermission to avoid damage from Lingering Flames, or to avoid Flameclasp Eruption from Flameclasp Trap.

If soaking multiple traps, using your Ice Block in a Spirit Link will help keep your friends alive during Flameclasp Eruption.

Be careful with Icy Veins timing, since this boss becomes untargetable when it phases.

Arcane Explosion can be used to AoE Shadowsteel Ember adds on the move.

Legendaries: Slick Ice

This fight is very straightforward, but incorrectly placing a Threat Neutralization will likely lead to a wipe. Play greedy but always drop your circle on the Energy Cores.

Try to maximize your damage with good movement. Scorch and Shimmer should help you damage on the move as needed.

Use Alter Time, Ice Barrier, or Mirror Image for large damage events like high stack pulses of Purging Protocol.

Always be ready to Ice Block if you are low and healers need a moment to help you survive.

Go far with Call of Eternity so your orb doesn't cause issues later during Fated Conjunction.
Mages have plenty of movement for this with Alter Time, Shimmer, and Soulshape.

Use Blizzard and Frozen Orb to cleave the add and boss and funnel more damage into the boss.

Ice Barrier large damage events, such as Grim Portent.

Ice Block can be used to avoid death during Fated Conjunction in a pinch.

If affected with Runic Affinity, make sure to move with your rune as it rotates. This is also a good time for damage reduction like Mirror Image.

Use Alter Time and Shimmer for running Oblivion's Echo away from the raid.

Managing stacks from breaking Glacial Spike is an important part of this fight. Do not blindly AoE if spikes are clumped.

Avoid damage from Frozen Destruction with defensives, such as Mirror Image

Frost Blast can be solo soaked with Ice Block.

Counterspell Soul Fracture adds to interrupt the Piercing Wail cast.

Frost Mage should probably avoid the downstairs during the Phylactery Phase.

Use Ice Barrier if affected by Wailing Arrow.

Shimmer should be used to close the gap to the boss right before Domination Chains cast.

Be ready to AoE adds after Domination Chains is cast. Shifting Power is especially strong for this.

Ice Block can be used to remove stacks from Barbed Arrow.

Ring of Frost should be used to group sentinel adds.

Use Blizzard for sentinel adds and arrow sets.
