Doesn't Superstrain drop from the raid and Bryndaor's Might from Torghast? In this case isn't it better to just craft Bryndaor's to have something good and then start building Superstrain once it drops? I don't see the point to hoard mats until Superstrain drops and just stay legendaryless until that time.

Minor point, but 15% reduced cost to Death Strike means you can use the ability 17.6% more often. 100 divided by 85, etc.

It's a really good legendary.

The trap options usually end up being the best option from my experience... the dps doesn't matter when you're dead

Hello, hello? Can you read? Phearomones does not only give you haste, it also fears mobs. In Legion that ability was a HUGE defensive value in Mythic+. Why did you choose to ignore it... What's the proc chance for the fear? How much damage breaks it? Does it suffer from AoE limitations? Does it work the same in PvP? etc. etc. I know Blizzard should be the one writing such information into their abhorrent tooltips, but I come to WoWhead to figure such things out without having to craft the item and do the science myself. So why isn't it in this guide?

8% haste. If you can stand in your DnD all the time (rare), then (10 sec DnD uptime, 15 sec CD) it means you get 5.33% haste. More, if you spend the 5 second gap outside combat (kiting or between packs).
That means more Rune of the Fallen Crusader procs - just how much more?
That means more Blood Boil casts. Just how much?
That means more rune generation. Just how much more runes do 5.33 haste give?

Without doing the math and testing how the fear works, for many trash packs Phearomones definitely look much better than the alternatives... I guess I'll have to look for another source, or YOLO try and test it myself.

I wouldn't discard Crimson Rune Weapon at all. It's a popular choice among top m+ players (11% in m 15+ runs). It solves completely different problems than BM and Superstrain. It lets you open with DRW every pull which helps a lot with survival, aggro, rune economy. Had to wait for healer get mana so your bones fade away? No problem!

This effect was good when Dancing Rune Weapon lasted 18 seconds and was off the GCD. Neither of those is true now.

Duration can be still increased with soulbind, but tbh duration doesn't really matter - it's best for openers and you wouldn't want to cast it mid fight imo. That's why also GCD doesn't really matter either. This is not a top dps legendary, but it might be the best aoe tanking legendary.
