A lot of abilities in here reduce your armor on trash. Both on the first segment (Thornclaw Gatherers, 4s ICD on reapplication) and in the last segment (Loyal Saberfangs, stacks). Be aware of your stacks whenever you pull these mobs.

Frostfangs in the winter segment of the dungeon occasionally deal bonus Frost damage on auto-attacks. This is a chance to happen, but that doesn't mean AMS isn't useful.

Position smartly on bosses: you can control the first boss's empower sequence based on what the nearest pile/totem is, and you should not leave it to chance. You also should position Nalorakk smartly so players can still act while hiding behind the shield during Onslaught.

Decently large AMS value on both trash and bosses. In particular, you can pre-AMS Envenom to stop the associated poison.

There are lots of physical debuffs and bleeds in here, and abilities that punish parrying. Track Punishing Swing in particular - unlucky streaks during Dancing Rune Weapon can be very surprising.

Position bosses smartly, particularly Zaen Bladesorrow. Don't let your party be the unfortunate victim of Murder in a Row because of you.

Pre-AMS Crushing Smash

Deepstone Earthshapers gained Tectonic Strike. This is instant, casts every kick cycle (roughly) and stacks + refreshes. The mobs themselves are stunnable, so you can request AoE stuns or use Blinding Sleet to force a reset.

You can still deathgrip Ice Shield's channel from Flashfrost Chillweavers. Do it on the very first tick so you can save kicks for Frostbolts.

I just want to mention some things I have picked up about Control Undead.
In Atal Dazar the big abomination type mobs are an excellent choice to control here. When I am tanking I usually send the CC'd one into the next trash pack to die, and then CC the big one from that trash pack. Doing this our group only has to actually fight one of them, and that is completely by themselves.

In King's Rest there are 3 possible adds useful for controlling.

The Berserker's to control their debuff stacks on the tank.
The Hex Priest for their hex ability (Which does not get broken by damage)
And the beast master which does unbelievable damage thanks to their stacking poison debuff on targets.
On thing to keep in mind about the Beast Master though is it does knockback a lot of targets and therefore you need to make sure you control where the beast master is firing from in certain trash pulls (I am not sure if this ability can be turned of or not)

During the Necrotic week, Anti-Magic Barrier indirectly (and directly) provides significantly more mitigation than Will of the Necropolis, especially when facing a pack with mobs immune to CC/snare. It makes it easier to reset stacks, prevents gaining stacks for longer and allows this to be done more often, which in my experience running higher/high keys results in overall lower stacks count, more group damage done (since less kiting), reduces strain on the healer = less downtime between pulls

A minor point on Gorefiend's Grasp: while unique as a baseline ability, Vengeance Demon Hunters have the option of talenting a similar ability in Sigil of Chains.

You can now control undead a mob in the Surgeon stitchfest encounter. He will spawn after all are killed/controlled.

This guide isn't updated, it doesn't even mention Crimson Rune Weapon being good for Mythic+ and encourages players into incorrect choices.
