First off, the definition of the prefix proto is as follows:

A combining form meaning "first", "foremost", "earliest form of" used in the formation of compound words.

So you can guess that Proto-Drakes are baby Drakes.

I may be wrong, but I was under the assumption that the "proto" in proto-drakes referenced the fact that Proto-Drakes were the earliest, and hence the oldest, of the drakes.

A concise guide. Have you thought of adding any pictures? Pictures of Drakes would really make this guide shine. Also, maybe some tabs, colors, etc. would jazz it up a bit.

I wouldnt say Proto=baby, like saying mammoth is a baby elephant... It has completely other meaning. As Vexien stated above, its the earliest (oldest). Also some screens would be awesome.

But still good work.

I've never heard of a instance in which the Time-Lost Proto Drake's Reins did NOT drop from the TLPD.

Its a 100% guaranteed drop - you can't go off what wowhead says in this case - 2% would probably equate for players who already had the mount and killed it again for fun or something, therefore unable to loot it again (or had a unused TLPD mount already in their bags).

It'd be awesome if you could go back and add a picture of each proto-drake so that we don't have to click on each link to find out what it looks like.

Actually, the time-lost proto-drake is 100%, it shows 98% as the drake ocasionally glitches/falls into unlootable spots, still counted as a kill, but no loot received

Noooo they are adding new Proto-Drakes in BFA for Gladiator... as a Proto-Drake collector I guess I won't have the full collection now :(
