Ability

Description

Geyser

Geyser will randomly target a raid member, dealing a 10-yard area-of-effect attack and knocking back all players. To avoid chaos, raid members should spread out around the platforms and jump back up when they are knocked off.

Whirl

Whirl deals Physical damage to all players within melee range, knocking them back a short distance.

Spout

Spout will shoot a beam of water out of the mouth of The Lurker Below, and the boss will turn to shoot the beam outward. All raid members should jump in the water to avoid getting hit with Spout.

Water Bolt

Water Bolt will only cast when no one is within melee range of the boss. This will target a single raid member and deal one-shot damage. This is to prevent any exploitive strategies.

The Main Tank should be positioned on the large platform, prepared to Intercept back to the boss in case of a Whirl. During Phase One, the Tank shouldn't worry too much about Ranged threat, because The Lurker Below only looks at the Melee threat table.

Off-Tanks should be prepared to pick up any Coilfang Guardian during Phase Two, to make the add phase a much smoother process.

Jump into the water to avoid Spout. While in the water, don't spam jump because you take damage each time you land in the water!

Tips for Melee on The Lurker Below

Stay spread out on the larger platform during Phase One, to avoid multiple people getting hit by Geyser.

When Phase Two happens, Melee should focus fire on the Coilfang Guardian before moving on to the Ambushers on the smaller platforms.

Melee can avoid Spout entirely by continuously moving behind The Lurker Below during the Spout cast.

Tips for Ranged on The Lurker Below

There should be multiple Hunter, Warlock, and Mage at each smaller platform, prepared to crowd control the Ambushers during Phase Two. After the Ambushers are crowd controlled, the Guardians should focus fire the Guardians on the large platform.

Jump into the water to avoid Spout. While in the water, don't spam jump because you take damage each time you land in the water!

Tips for Healers on The Lurker Below

Healers shouldn't be under too much pressure to keep the Tank up during Phase One, but they need to spot heal raiders when they are hit with Geysers.

There will be a massive amount of raid damage if the adds aren't taken care of properly in Phase Two, especially if raiders are still fighting Guardians on the large platform when The Lurker Below emerges.

Jump into the water to avoid Spout. While in the water, don't spam jump because you take damage each time you land in the water!

Coilfang Ambushers don't need to be killed, they can be permanently CC'd by a Warlock and a Mage on each platform. New Ambushers won't spawn if they're Polymorphed and Feared.
