Ability

Description

Every 10 seconds while in Flare Phase, the Curotar will spawn an Astral Flare. Astral Flares are large electric orbs that need to be killed immediately. All damage dealers need to prioritize Flares before the boss.

Arcane Infusion

Arcane Infusion is a non-purgable buff that The Curator places on himself, causing each melee attack to deal additional Arcane damage. This extra damage is not mitigated by armor because it is magic damage.

Hateful Bolt

Hateful Bolt will target the player who is second-highest on threat. Because it is a ranged ability, all damage dealers need to stay under the Main Tank and the Off-Tank on threat. Typically, raids will assign the Off-Tank to intentionally take Hateful Bolts.

Evocation

After casting Summon Astral Flare 10 times, The Curator will be empty on mana and begin channeling Evocation, regaining mana for 20 seconds. While channeling, The Curator takes 200% increased damage.

Enrage

After reaching 15% total health, The Curator will "soft enrage" and stop casting Summon Astral Flare. During this phase, The Curator will cast Hateful Bolt more frequently and have increased melee damage output.

Berserk

After 10 minutes, The Curator will Berserk, gaining a significant damage boost that will likely wipe a raid. This ability likely exists to prevent solo kills on The Curator, as most fights won't last more than a few minutes.

The Main Tank and Off-Tank should stay on The Curator for the entire fight, regardless of what phase the boss is in. This way, the Off-Tank can soak Hateful Bolts.

Save defensive cooldowns for the Enrage Phase, as the damage output from The Curator will spike.

Tips for Melee on The Curator

Focus fire the Astral Flares before damaging the boss. Stay spread out when Astral Flares are up to avoid chaining the damage from Searing Arc.

Save offensive cooldowns for any Evocation phases, to maximize damage output.

Tips for Ranged on The Curator

Focus-fire the Astral Flares before damaging the boss. When Astral Flares are active, stay spread out to avoid chaining the damage from Searing Arc.

Save offensive cooldowns for any Evocation phases, to maximize damage output.

Tips for Healers on The Curator

Be prepared for the increase in damage from The Curator during the enrage phase, focusing heals heavily on the Main Tank and Off-Tank.

During the Evocation phase, if the Tanks are healthy enough, Healers can help out and damage the boss during this time. Don't burn through too much mana, though, especially if the encounter is taking longer than average.

Shaman can use Heroism or Bloodlust during the Evocation Phase to really push the damage.
