We obviously don't have specifics yet on the two sets with regard to how we might acquire both sets. My question is: for previous Heritage armor sets, what was the method for acquiring both color options, if there were more than one?

The Traditionalist's Kaldorei Blades are indeed rewarded upon completing the Night Elf heritage questline, and are available for any class that can use one-handed swords. After completing the questline, you are awarded with three different recolors of the Sentinel's Moonglaive: 'Duskrune Glaive', which resembles the original from the Darkshore Warfront, 'Moonlight Glaive', which resembles the Sinister Gladiator's Warglaive, and 'Glaive of the Blood Moon', which resembles the Glade Warden's Glaive. They appear to sheathe to your waist, unlike the original warglaives which sheathe to your back, and they are not visible on your character when sheathed.

As for the armor set itself, currently you can only get 1 (one) coloration of the Kaldorei Protector's Adornment, the purple tint. The blue tint is currently not available upon completing the questline on any character. Hopefully this is a bug which will be hotfixed.

If anyone else gets stuck on the 'Stepping into the Shadows' portion of the quest like myself and others did, try going back up the way you came down into the cave and make sure Maiev is with you. This will trigger the next part of the quest allowing you to complete it. It seems Maiev gets 'stuck' sometimes and starts yelling at you about getting caught, and if you run down before her even once she catches up to you it will not trigger the quest allowing you to complete it even when you kill the required mob.

I wonder which class would fit the best with em glaives. Its either warrior, dk or outlaw rogue. Also animation vise too. Both warrior and frost dk has one animation that doesnt really fit the glaives.

Hopefully the blue tint will show up some day soon, still not even sure why that version is featured at the moment on the official race page for NElves when the godforsaken set isn't even available in the game.
Edit: has been removed from the race page as of now, what a complete waste of time.
Edit 2: It'll return at a later date, at least now it won't be tossed into the bin with the rest of the other tints some races have that haven't been released.

I think this is all great, but since many of the night elf population is also druid or hunter, it would have been nice to receive a Bow or Crossbow (preferably a bow) to match the current set and the future sets due to release. And Druids definitely need a staff to go with this outfit.

My death knight, who can carry two one-handed blades, and my demon hunter will look fabulous.

But in general, Dragonflight has not been very kind on any bow drops. There are two significant drops, but most range weapons have been Rifles. How are we supposed to be quiet in the shadows as a night elf if we are firing loud weapons?

BEFORE everyone yells at me, I have nothing against rifles. I prefer the look of the bow on my character.

The real tragedy here is that once unlocked it can only be used by that one race. I whish you could mix it with other races and classes like Store, Trading Post or Covenant sets. This is a huge L imo.

I'm a bit disappointed with the design, there are others already in the game on NPCs that could have been given to us. Other classes could have used a weapon transmog as well, but Blizzard has already shown short sidedness when it comes to all the Heritage Armor and Weapons.

The quest was also very short and lacked depth, as if it was just thrown together in a couple hours. Compared to the Blood Elf questline, this was pointless. This quest is almost just a copy/paste of the questline that already exists in that exact same spot, if that questline is still in the game, it has been 17 years since I completed it.

Hey!

I am stuck for some reason. I am a night elf, and I am level 55, and still I am not able to find the scroll for the quest. Anyone has experienced this? Is there any way to solve it?

Content-wise, this quest chain is very... safe. Yeah, that's the word. It's safe. Nothing really happens, nothing is really resolved, the Burning/Genocide is mostly shoved off-screen, and some old traditions are overturned. There can now be male Sentinels. Maiev loses her prejudices against arcane traditions.

We find out satyrs aren't all traitors, it's actually a curse that can be inflicted. Oh and satyrs are both sexes, though the models are all the same. This is kind of a big deal as retcons go, but it's ultimately a small change overall. Does inject a little Fridge Horror into all the satyrs you might kill -how many of them are unwilling victims instead of Legion collaborators?

The title Ama'shan, which isn't explained well, actually means "Beloved Protector." Can't lie, that's cute. Protector of what, though?

That thing that happened that we're not talking about. We're all about looking to the future now! Which is totally not the incredibly safe thing to say when you don't want future players to really find out about that Genocide you forced players to be part of. /s

Overall rating: C+.

This event is topically gutless, emotionally depressing, and the characters are uninspired. Some credit for the callback to the original chain. The set piece fights are actually well staged. YMMV about the actual armor models unlocked, but they are IMO very safe.

Bonus points for Maiev expressing sorrow over two murdered Sentinels outside -which is fine by itself, no mistake- with the contrast of the dozens of dead Sentinels inside the defiled barrow den. There's one in every cage, and there are at least 20 cages. Jesus it's a f*cking slaughterhouse of dead NElves. Plenty of Hordies would love that, but they can't actually come and see, can they? Maybe the cages should have been removed and Maiev gets a line about the Sentinels "cleansing this house of horrors."

Or not, w/e.

I had a heck of a hard time finding any information online (on Wowhead or otherwise) about simply whether or not one could use a Level Boost Token on a Night Elf and still qualify meeting the criteria to unlock the questline (as I know there had been an issue with other - possibly just the Allied - races where one would have to level them up regularly to meet the level criteria.)

So, I'm here to plainly state for any others that may be wondering: Yes, one can use a Level Boost Token on a Night Elf and go directly to the Alliance Embassy in Stormwind and start the Heritage Armor Set questline without any effort or headache!

I finished this questline on my NE Druid but I cant see the set in the transmog set lists... Is it for a different class or what?

SPOILER ALERT!

A few days after finishing the Amirdrassil raid, I noticed a main questline icon near the raid entrance. Go see Tyrande to get started on a nice sequence of quests. Follow it and enjoy! If you're a night elf, you might want to have your grand expedition yak with you! :)

its been like 15 years since ive been to felwood, i dont remember these burrows anymore!

And that one NPC that you burry right at the beginning of the chain is at the entrance resurrecting you.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

If you have FACTION changed from Horde to Alliance, You WILL be able to obtain the Original Heritage Armor but you will NOT be able to obtain the last few quests to get the Reskin of the Heritage Armor

I really do wish they would amend that especially if you've done the full storyline.

This guide here is wrong in one thing: requirements. It states that:
1. You must be a Night Elf
2. You must be level 50 or above

Which is correct. But the third requirement is:
3. You need a level 60 character on that account.

Kaldorei Protector's Purple Armor set suits Sinister Aspirant Alliance sets well for all types of armor, and you can mix different parts of these sets with heritage armor. You can buy all from Marshal Gabriel for Mark of Honor

There is much cooler upgraded versions (P M L C) of these outfits in game files, but unfortunately, there is no way to acquire them in the game (or atleast you can't do it right now). It seems to be an elite version of normal PvP set in Battle for Azeroth, but I'm not sure if it was properly implemented in game.

Also weapons from Arsenal: Sinister Aspirant's Weapons for 80 Mark of Honor match very well.
There are other similar night elf traditional like outfits and weapons among Darkshore Warfront rewards, you may want to check this guide.

Dress your elves properly!

There seems to be a bug with the display of this heritage armor in the character selection screen. My character is transmogged with this set, but on the character selection it shows another transmogg. Also if I go to the ingame transmogger again, it displays another set. What is going on here?

Sadly the pointer/index finger armor on the right and/or left hand glove is bugged on both purple and blue set, either the mesh or just the texture gets distorted when doing any kind of casting/channeling. :(

Been like that since release, but, here's hoping it will get fixed...
