This guide will make some suggestions regarding which weapons best match the Challenge Mode armor sets that were introduced with Mists of Pandaria. The suggestions will follow class rules per set and transmog rules in general. All these sets are obtained from completing
Challenge Conqueror
: Gold, which requires obtaining a Gold in each challenge mode dungeon.
If a particular item is harder for you to obtain, don't forget to click on the "Same Model As" tab for alternate identical items!

Lich Lord Plate
(
Death Knight
)
This set finally forgoes the ubiquitous giant horned helmet death knight sets seem to love in favor of a scary melty skull face, and skull boots, and more skulls!
The main colors in this set are a light brown and a metallic ivory with light blue accents.
Archon Glaive
, from
Anub'arak
in TOC 25: One of the prettier options for this set, this polearm matches both the browns and blues as well as the level of detail. Alliance only.
Vicious Gladiator's Pike
, purchasable with HP: A simple but painful looking polearm that draws on the blue accents from this set.
Falric
's Wrist-Chopper, from
Falric
in Heroic Halls of Reflection: A very intricately detailed weapon that includes a horned skull in the center.
Move
s a bit out of the color scheme but still draws on the blue accents of the set.
Havoc's Call, Blade of Lordaeron Kings
, from
The Lich King
in 25 ICC: Another detailed weapon
that draws from the blue accents in the set, as well as the skull motif. The added bonus of this is that it sheaths on the back, giving unique look to the set as a whole.
Mace of the Earthborn Chieftain
, from
Anub'arak
in TOC 10: This model is distinctive in shape and quite eye catching due to the large horns. The blue runes on this mace match the blue accents in the set, and the metal coloration of the mace matches some of the base plate pieces. Horde only.
Torall, Rod of the Shattered Throne
, from
Lei Shen
in
Throne of Thunder
: A vivid and animated weapon, the browns in the setting of the electrified orb match this set perfectly. Also features a crackling lightning animation.
Demise
, from
Heigan the Unclean
and
Gluth
in
Naxxramas
10: While the blues in this mace are deeper than those in the set, the glow around the mace matches up with the glow underneath the face cage of this set for a more subtle match.
Uroe, Harbinger of Terror
, from
Lei Shen
in
Throne of Thunder
: Basically the two-handed and hyper-animated version of Torall. This thing looks absolutely vicious and has similar blue details to the set.
Abaddon
, from Yogg Saron in
Ulduar
10:A simple glowing blue runeblade, in keeping with a death knight's natural choice for a weapon.
Quel'Delar
, Might of the Faithful, reward from A Victory For the Silver Covenant/Sunreavers in
Icecrown
: A popular choice for transmog, this greatsword really goes look like it was made to match this set - not only does it look like a runeblade, it has the blue glow as well as matching light brown metal.
Void Sabre
, from
General Vezax
in
Ulduar
10: A subdued choice but retains the matching blue glow as well as a nice compliment in the rusted color of the metal.
Hailstorm
, from
Malygos
in the Eye of Eternity 10: Quite a flashy weapon, this makes a great choice for dual wielding frost death knights since it has a frozen look to it.
Cycle Armor
(
Druid
)
This leather set is mainly brown, gold, and mint green with very detailed shoulders. It has less of a nature-y feel than most druid sets which opens up the weapon transmog options significantly.
Remember to use
Glyph of Stars
to see your armor as a Moonkin!
Brutal Gladiator's Painsaw
, purchasable with
: A simple but vicious looking polearm with a match to the glow on the shoulders and helm.

Lei Shen
in
Throne of Thunder
: A more detailed design which also brings out the brown details in the leather, while matching the glow. Somewhat difficult to obtain at the moment, but not impossible.
Pathwalker Greatstaff
, drop from Pandaria rares: A somewhat plain look, but the color is almost a perfect match. Also sort of difficult to obtain, which gives it some prestige.
Dreambinder
, drop from
Freya
and
Algalon
in
Ulduar
25: While the orb is just slightly bluer, the details on the shaft of the staff match the details on the leather of this set quite well.
Oxheart
(Heroic Version), drops from 10H Valithria Dreamwalker in
Icecrown Citadel
: The minty green on this mace matches the druid set perfectly, and the details in the mace mirror those in the chest piece of this set.
Hex-Caster Gavel
, green drop on the
Isle of Thunder
: This classic model from the old Zul'aman is an interesting compliment to the mint green glow on the set.
Lightfathom Sceptre, Lady Vashj in
Serpentshrine Cavern
: While the mint in this mace mirrors the glow on the shoulders, the deeper browns in the mace also bring the deeper colours out in the brown and golden parts of this set.
Hammer of Sanctification
, drop off
Kil'jaeden
in the Sunwell: While maintaining the mint green and brown in the set, this mace adds some color variety with the black and white.
Encapsulated Essence of Immersus (Normal/Flex Version), drop off Immersus in Siege of
Orgrimmar
: Again, while retaining the mint accent this mace brings out the gold in the details of the set.
Soulscribe
, off
Yogg-Saron
in
Ulduar
25: Matches absolutely perfectly with this set - the mint green and gold are excellently paired with the shoulders and accents in the leather.
Tornado-Summoning Censer
(Heroic Version), off Blade-Lord Tayak in Heroic Heart of Fear: A unique offhand, the mint green and gold details are hidden inside a swirling tornado! Would go quite well with a Balance druid since they have their own storms!

The colours of this set are mainly a deep ochre brown and a vibrant forest green with tiny red accents.

Black Temple
: Always a popular choice with hunters, the greens and browns in this bow compliment the set very well.
Miracoran, the Vehement Chord
(Heroic Version), shared boss drop in

Darkmaw Crossbow
/
Death's Head Crossbow
, off
Anub'arak
in 10 TOC and Lord Jaraxxus in 25 TOC:
These crossbows have the same model but slightly different colors. They have a vicious set of teeth on them, matching up with the teeth of the animal head on the shoulder of the hunter set. Horde only.

Flame Leviathan
in
Ulduar
25: This bright golden dragon head draws on the inscribed gold parts of this set. Also mimics the shape of the right shoulder.

: The quintessential monk mace, this is a red keg on a stick! Matches in color, theme, and matches the actual kegs on the shoulder and belt of this set. A great choice!
Elemental Triad Regalia
(
Mage
)
This set has the appearance of being stitched together, a real change from the time-mechanical motif mages have tended to have recently.
This set, while being based on purple, teal, and brown material, also heavily features the three mage spell schools - fire, frost, and arcane - in the form of glowing arcane eye symbols.
Spire of Defiance
, quest reward from "
The Binding
" in
Deepholm
: For a simple choice to match the purple in the mage set, this is a good choice - especially since it has a similar glow to the arcane eye symbol in the helm.

Twilight Highlands
: For a more subdued purple choice, this staff matches as well as having a cool animation of floating rocks.
Grand Magister's Staff of Torrents
, off

in
The Mechanar
: A simple, but still spell-sword looking, compliment to the purple in this set, and the arcane spell school.

middle.
,
Kel'Thuzad
's Blade of Agony (Heroic Version), off
The Lich King
in
Icecrown
Citadel: A gorgeous and unique spellblade with arcane coloration and runed etchings that mirror those in the mage set. Also, happened to belong to a mage before some unfortunate events.
Talon of the Tempest
, off
Doomwalker
in
Shadowmoon Valley
: Matching with the fire portions of this set is difficult but the glow on this dagger seems to most closely match the orange-red of the fire spell school.

's Razor (Heroic Version), off
Alysrazor
in
Firelands
: For an extremely flashy weapon to go with the flashy spell procs on the shoulders, this is a perfect choice - a fiery purple dagger.

Scribe's Quill
, quest "
Piece of the Past
" in Vash'jir: A simple wand with a purple glow.
Ward of the Violet Citadel
, purchasable for JP in
Dalaran
: This should be your only choice for an off-hand to match this set - while the color around the outside may not match, the flashing purple arcane eye in the middle is the exact symbol found all over the mage set.
Holy Warrior Plate
(
Paladin
)
This set is very flashy, mainly gold, silver, and blue with some orange glow. It also heavily features bright blue greatswords as a motif.
Ironmender
, off Kolagarn in 25

: For those holy paladins stuck without a shield, this off-hand provides a sufficiently paladin-y feel - an off-hand book that has the appearance of a holy libram.
The Grinder
, off
Anub'arak
in TOC 10: This is a very colorful blue and gold mace, and has an orange glow to match the glow accents on the helm and shoulders of this set. Alliance only.
Silvermoon War-Mace
, random Outland green drop: A slightly more subtly look, the shaft of this mace is wrapped in blue and gold that match this set exactly. The head of the mace looks like four wings, mirroring the two sets of wings on the shoulders and helm of this set.
Captain Rogers' Polite Knocking Stick
, from "
Unleash Hell
" quest in Jade Forest: This is one of the various items in the Jade Forest that have the rare appearance of the TOC items that required no-wipe runs. This mace is almost an exact match in color to the various colors of this set, down to the intricate gold work. Alliance only.
Fusion Blade
, from
Mimiron
in
Ulduar
10: This sword is sort of a match within a match - it is a blue glowing sword. similar to the sword motif in the set. As well, the glowing line pattern in the sword look like a T shape as well, echoing both symbols.
Abaddon
, from
Yogg-Saron
in
Ulduar

Uroe, Harbinger of Terror
, off
Lei Shen
in
Throne of Thunder
: An intricately designed weapon with an awesome animation to continue the theme of details from the set.
Light Regalia
(

Ethereum Life-Staff
, from
High Astromancer Solarian
, in
Tempest Keep
: While not exactly matching colors, there is something about the delicateness of blue glow staff that compliments the delicate details of the shoulders and helm of this set. Having a more simple design for a staff is preferable since the helm and shoulders have a lot going on.

's Aether Staff, from
Valithria Dreamwalker
in ICC 10: The floating orb in the center of this staff mirror the floating orbs on the shoulders and belt of this set with a more classic staff look.

: While the model of this staff is busy, the muted colors go very well with the understated colors of this set.
Hammer of Sparks
, from
Siamat
in
Lost City of the Tol'vir
: The colors on this mace match this set so well - they look like they are drawn from the same color palate of deep brownish-red, ivory, and mint green/blue accent. A simple but beautiful match.

Deathwing
's head, reflecting the dragon theme in this set.

, BoA treasure found in
The Jade Forest
: The black in the middle of this dagger, as well as the copper designs on it, are an interesting and complex match for this set.

in Normal Mogu'shan Palace: This simple dagger matches the orange accents of the set and also glows with fire like the set's totems.

(
Warlock
)
This set has a sufficiently warlock-y and demonic feel to it, so matching weapons isn't too difficult.
The main colours in this set are maroon, bright green, and gold.
Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Destroyer off Illidan Stormrage in
Black Temple
. It does compliment the class-unique element of this set since the staff resembles a fel hunter.

Howling Fjord
,
Dragonblight
, and
Borean Tundra
. A green option with an eerie, fel feel.

: This shield pulls from both the brown colour and the horn theme of the set, with the added bonus of a bloody, beating heart!

's Tail, off rare mob
Armagedillo
in

Suffering's End
, off
Anub'arak
in TOC 25: This mace continues the horn theme from the helm and shoulders, as well as the red accents. Horde only.

Bloodfire Greatstaff
, off
Aeonus
in The Black Morras: Now that staves are moggable onto polearms, if you happen to be dual wielding polearms as a

fury warrior, staves can be an excellent alternative. This one has the copper metallic look to it, as well as a red accent and looks excellent being dual wielded.
Staff of the Plaguehound
, off
Kel'Thuzad
in
Naxxramas
10: With this staff you can have beast parts on you and your weapons. Another weapon that matches the brown in this set, while looking a bit scary.
