Chains of Eternity must be intercepted by a player with the Ever-Beating Heart Anima Power, or by someone with a stun immunity.

Move from safe zone to safe zone three times during Hungering Mist.

Spread out before Predator's Howl is cast to avoid fearing nearby players.

During the last 10% players targeted by the boss should kite him in a circle.

Tanks

Tanks taunt after each stack of Crushed Armor.

Healers

Healers dispel Predator's Howl from players.

Spot heal players with the Grasp of Death debuff.

DPS

Use Time Warp on pull to maximize damage.

Anima Power orbs can be activated after killing each of the four Anima Goliaths.

Tarragrue Anima Powers

Blade of the Lifetaker Your attacks have a high chance to steal health from the enemy equal to 10% of your maximum health.
Disembodied Mystic Hands Your attacks have a chance to steal a beneficial Magic or Enrage effect from your target, applying it to yourself.
Elethium Diffuser Inflicts Shadow damage equal to 50% of all the damage you receive, split amongst enemies within 10 yds, but you are no longer able to step backwards.
Elethium Weights Your Strength, Agility, Stamina, and Intellect are increased by 30%, but you are no longer able to jump.
Ephemeral Effigy You take 25% less Physical damage and suffer 15% more Magic damage. Taking Physical damage has a chance to increase your movement speed by 25% for 6 sec.
Erratic Howler While in combat, release an uncontrolled howl at random intervals. This howl inflicts 40 Shadow damage to enemies within 20 yds and interrupts spells.
Ever-Beating Heart You become immune to Fear and Stun effects.
Heart-Seeking Fang While in combat, leech 3 health from a random enemy within 15 yds every 2 sec. This damage and healing is doubled if the target is suffering from a Bleed effect.
Huddled Carvings Your damage and healing done is increased by 30% while within 5 yds of at least 2 other players.
Leeching Strikes Increases the caster's leech by 100% for 20 sec.
Lumbering Form While in combat, your size is increased by 100%, your damage and healing is increased by 30%, and you automatically knock back ALL players that come within 2 yds of yourself.
Negation Well Greatly increase the power of your jumps. Your movement speed is also increased by 20%.
Obleron Endurance Maximum health increased by 45%.
Obleron Ephemera Versatility increased by 12%.
Obleron Spikes Critical strike chance increased by 12%.
Obleron Talisman Mastery increased by 12%.
Obleron Venom Critical damage and healing increased by 18%.
Obleron Winds Haste increased by 12%.
Oddly Intangible Key You take 90% less damage from area of effect attacks.
Overgrowth Seedling Increases your armor by 100% and reduces the power cost of most abilities by 30%.
Overwhelming Power Increases the movement speed of the caster by 100% for 15 sec.
Potent Acid Gland Your attacks have a chance to launch a glob of acid, inflicting 30 Nature damage and increasing damage you inflict on that target by 25% for 8 sec.
Pulsing Rot-hive Your attacks have a chance to attach decayfly larvae in the target, inflicting 9 Nature damage every 1 sec for 6 sec. When this effect expires, the larvae hatch from within the target to fight for you.
Resonating Effigy You take 25% less Magic damage and suffer 15% more Physical damage. Taking Magic damage has a chance to increase your movement speed by 25% for 6 sec.
Satchel of the Hunt You grant all allies within 20 yds an additional 30% movement speed.
Soulward Clasp Your abilities have a chance to create a zone of soul empowerment nearby. Any player may collect this to gain 25% damage and healing done and 25% movement speed for 10 sec.
Spectral Oats While running, you take 10% less damage and inflict 10% more damage, as well as heal for 5% of your maximum health every 1 sec.
Spiked Skin Attackers take damage each time they attack you for 20 sec.
Stoneflesh Figurine When below 40% maximum health, you reduce all damage taken by 40% and your own movement speed by 40%.
Ten of Towers Increases damage done by 10% and reduces damage taken by 10%. Upon death, detonate and stun ALL players and enemies within 10 yds for 10 sec.
The Stone Ward Shields you for 20% of your maximum health. This absorb refreshes every 30 sec.
Tremorbeast Heart Primary stat increased by 15%, and regenerate 5 health every 5 sec.
Twisted Samophlange While in combat, you periodically steal power from a nearby ally within 5 yds. Their damage and healing done is reduced by 25% and yours is increased by 50%.
V'lara's Cape of Subterfuge Your attacks have a chance to cause you to fade away, reducing your threat for 6 sec. While you are under this effect, your critical strike chance is increased by 50%.
Unstable Form While in combat, become incorporeal at random intervals, reducing damage taken by 99% for 3 sec. This ability removes a stack of a random debuff when it occurs.

We recommend healers also be the ones to pick up utility powers for the raid.

General positioning

Predator's HowlChains of EternityThe Tarragrue Phase One: 100% - 10%

Player targeted by Chains of Eternity running to the assigned spot.

The Ever-Beating Heart Anima Power can be used to intercept the chain being cast at the targeted player.

Other immunities, or stun immunities can also be used if the player with the Anima Power is unable to intercept.

Mark a specific location in the room for targeted players to run to, which will allow the player assigned to intercept to always be in position.

Predator's HowlPredator's Howl

After 3 seconds, the affected players will radiate Unshakeable Dread, fearing players within 5 yards.

Your raid should be pre-spread when this debuff is applied to your raid to avoid unnecessary fears.

Healers should dispel all affected players, prioritizing the melee dps.

The raid moving from safe zone to safe zone during Hungering Mist.

Hungering Mist

The raid will have to move to the marked safe zone before the shadows erupt.

The boss will repeat this cast a total of 3 times before continuing the phase.

The Satchel of the Hunt Anima Power is great to have on at least one raid member, as it provides a movement speed to everyone while moving from safe zone to safe zone.

Players with the Oddly Intangible Key Anima Power can stand in the erupting shadows, as they will take negligible damage from it.

Fury of the AgesFury of the Ages

Any players with a Soothe ability can remove this from the boss.

If any players in your raid have the Disembodied Mystic Hands Anima Power, the boss should not be Soothed, because these players will steal the Enrage effect.

Grasp of Death

Healers must spot heal these players to prevent them from dying.

The Unstable Form will periodically remove the debuff from players with this Anima Power.

OverpowerCrushed Armor

Use defensive cooldowns on each cast, then taunt swap when the debuff is applied.

There are several Anima Powers that can be used to make this mechanic less lethal.

Ephemeral Effigy, and Overgrowth Seedling are both great tank choices.

The Tarragrue Phase Two: 10% - 0%

The boss will stop casting all abilities, and will only melee attack in this phase.

Targeted players should simply kite the boss around the encounter area, and use immunities when the boss reaches them.

Heroic The TarragrueRemnant of Forgotten Torments

Remnant of Forgotten Torments

Each Remnant of Forgotten Torments has a set number of stacks that must be soaked by standing in the area under the Remnant of Forgotten Torments before it disappears.

While the Remnant of Forgotten Torments is active, it will buff the boss based on which type of Remnant of Forgotten Torments it is.

The debuffs absorbed from the Remnant of Forgotten Torments will last 1.5 mins and will stack.

We recommend alternating players who soak the debuffs, and prioritizing players with the Unstable Form Anima Power.

Tanks and the player assigned to intercepting the Chains of Eternity should avoid soaking this Remnant of Forgotten Torments.

Any players can soak this debuff, unless they have the Grasp of Death debuff.

Thanks for the grand guide. However, can you confirm if the anima powers are set in regards to Ever-Beating Heart power that it will always appear as a choice for a set orb? or will it be random in who in the raid gets said choice / power?

They need to change how they've implemented Hungering Mist. When that is active, my frame rate drops to 4 and there is no way I can run to a safe area in time. Others in the raid have reported the same problem. My computer meets or exceeds the requirements for running Shadowlands which they published some 9 months ago.

One note: in the guide above, the tooltip for Twisted Samophlange is listed as: While in combat, you periodically steal power from a nearby ally within 5 yds. Their damage and healing done is reduced by 25% and yours is increased by 50%.

When I was in SoD Normal, this power with this name was listed as: While in combat, the 2 nearest other players to you within 10 yds gain 15% increased damage and healing done.

I did not see the text listed in the guide. When I was in combat, I saw two green twisty beams between me and 2 other characters. It seemed to work in the way I saw in the encounter.

Can you check to make sure that the guide is correct? I would hate to be deceived and actually apply a penalty to my friends instead of the beneficial effect I think I'm giving to them.
