Decor Placement Cost: Each Decor item has a Placement cost ranging from 1 to 5. The interior and exterior of you House each have a Decor Placement Budget. You can place Decor until the total costs reach your budget.

Size and Scalability: Decor items have a base size which can be increased or decreased using the Advanced Settings Scale feature in Edit Mode. There are some Decor Items which cannot be scaled.

Rotation: Decor items can be rotated around three axes using the Advanced Settings Rotate feature in Edit Mode.

Customization: Many Decor items can be Customized to a degree. This can include the item's colors, a setting, or, in the case of Pet Beds, an assignment.

Placement Limits: Decor cannot be placed completely outside your plot or floorplan. Some decor is limited to being indoor or outdoor decor.

Collecting Decor Items in World of WarcraftIt's the house button.

Collections are account-wide. If you have earned, purchased, or otherwise acquired an item, it will be available to every character in your Warband.

Decor items are individual objects. If you want two of an item, you will have to collect two of them. Further, if an item is being used in your Alliance house, that item will not be available for your Horde house until you acquire a duplicate. Four chairs are four chairs.

If you have unlocked an item you can usually purchase duplicates of that item from a vendor. There are exceptions, like items which drop off Raid and Dungeon bosses. These will usually need to be farmed from those bosses if you want duplicates.

Many Decor items will award House XP the first time you learn them. There are exceptions. Decor from the In-game Shop, promotions, and from some Neighborhood vendors does not grant House XP.

When you receive a decor item, it may be auto-added to your collection, or you may receive an item in you bag. If the item goes into your bag it may be Warbound or tradable. Some Decor items can be bought and sold on the AH. As with other collectable items, right-click the item in your bag to add it to your collection.

If you place the armillary, set your choice, and then log out, your choice will not hold and you will need to set it again when you return. This way you can set your mood lighting as you please for each visit to your house.

If you want your choice to hold, place the armillary, set your choice, and then remove the armillary. This way your mood lighting is permanent (until you change it). You can then re-place the armillary if you want it out.

Whichever setting you choose applies to the entire interior of your house. You cannot affect just one room.

Search for the Pet you want to place from your available selection on the left

Set Stationary or Roaming on the right (if you are placing your Pet Bed outside, only Stationary will be available)

Click Apply on the right

You can place up to 100 Pet Beds inside your house, and up to 25 Pet Beds outside.

Each Pet Bed can only be assigned to one pet.

You do not need to own multiple copies of a pet in order to assign it to multiple beds, however if you have named your pet all copies of that pet will bear the same name. If you want them to have different names you will need multiple copies of the pet.

Indoor pets can be set to Stationary or Roaming . Stationary pets stay with the Pet Bed, while Roaming pets wander around near it.

Outdoor pets can only be set to Stationary.

Some pets have innate roaming idle animations. Those pets will still perform those animations even if they are outside or set to Stationary.

ain't no way they putting decoration item into old dungeon, hope atleast they do that and make them m+ so we aint forced into running 20 old content dungeon to get it

I hope wowhead will help to track/filter items that can be farmed infinitely and items that can be obtained only once per account, if those exist.

Decor items will drop from bosses, but its on a Need vs Greed basis and the last run I did with some players only 2 dropped. So you can do the math, 3 of us didnt get anything. Totally bs in my opinion. Needs to be personal loot not "Need Vs Greed" because there are *!@#$%bags out there that will get the item then still Need to attempt to vendor the item.

So, Random question on this. I had thought they were going to make it so you could display legendary weapons and models that you had collected as Decor. In the trailer for housing, it showed a number of different famous weapons mounted to the wall and lying around. Is that going to be released with Midnight? or did that end up getting cut from the pool of stuff we could do?

I'm wondering whether this is working as intended or just coincidence...

For the past few days I have been toon-hopping and doing a Decor Treasure Hunt quest on multiple toons. Every toon would receive a unique quest with a unique quest reward. I decided I did not need more than one Ornate Stonework Fireplace, so when I was doing my daily toon hop, I just skipped doing that treasure quest on whichever toon got it. (Note: prior to today, only one toon a day was getting this specific quest. Decor Treasure Hunt)

A few minutes ago I started my daily toon hop and the first 3 toons all had THAT quest. I skipped doing the quest on the first two toons, but on the 3rd toon i went ahead and completed the quest and received the fireplace My 4th toon finally got a different quest with a different quest reward.

It's like the system was checking to see which of the quest rewards I didn't have multiples of already and kept giving me the quest so I could have multiple of that item.

Update #1: After my 4th toon turned in that quest, I hopped on a 5th toon, but the quest was missing from the NPC. I hopped on a 6th, 7th, and 8th toon as well, and the quest was missing for all of them. Maybe Blizzard made it so you can only get 1 per day if you have multiples of all the items already.

Update #2: I have apparently been cut off from turning in this quest. It hasn't appeared for any of my toons for the past 2 days. I guess once you've turned in a quest a couple of times, the NPC no longer gives you that quest anymore.

Default sort is by expansion/map and zone
Fields: Vendor name, how many decor items they sell, Exp/Map, Zone, location, and note
NOTES ARE INCOMPLETE but may indicate faction QMs (where rep may be required), special currencies, quest/progression requirements

LOST
Did you move something and dropped it underground or behind a wall. I Lost a large structure underground and learned something new trying to find it. When you are on plot and housing editor up, the upper right corner shows Placed decor symbol and numbers 103/250 placed/available. Bottom action bar default is Decorate mode (1), click 2 Advance Mode and the upper right corner has added circle with triple lines. This is the placed list and the key to retrieving lost decor. Pop open and find the name of item you lost, highlight it and the Place decor action set comes up on right side of screen. I just used the R for remove. The lost item returned to my inventory.

I really hope we get an undo button for misplacement of items when building multi-piece furniture. It would also be helpful to have some sort of piece I.D. when moving around multiple items. I built a toilet that had 10 pieces to it, re-sized & rotated, it was rather frustrating when one piece wasn't placed quite right and I had to fish around & hope I clicked on the part that needed moving.
Please Blizz, give us inventors better tools.

To WOWHEAD: Please work on more filters for housing, especially for decor that we own and do not own.

To Blizzard: Please work on an UNDO feature, or even better to be able to save a "snapshot" of a build and go back to that if my changes mess things up.

Love the whole concept though and it's coming together great!
