Raid positioning will depend on the phase, because the difficulty of this encounter comes from having a series of abilities which overlap in different ways during each phase.

In Phase 1, the raid should be slightly spread out around the boss, while staying somewhat close to make sure players with Mass Entanglement can be freed easily, and player with Falling Star or Fiery Growth can move away easier.

In Phase 2, positioning is very similar, however players with Fiery Growth need to move further away, or the boss must be dragged away from the Scorching Ground to ensure that Flaming Germination doesn’t spawn in the fire.

In Phase 3 is a combination of the first two phases, so position accordingly depending on which form the boss is in.
Mass Entanglement

All players will get rooted and take damage for 6 seconds.
Stay at least 3 yards away from others.
To free players early, kill the root holding them in place, or use an ability which breaks roots.

Falling Star

A few players will get a debuff which they must spread out with.
After the debuff expires, Star Fragments will rain on the platform.

Fiery Growth

A few players will get debuffed and take fire damage for 40 seconds.
This debuff can be dispelled, but it will leave behind Scorching Ground.
Make sure to move out of the raid before getting dispelled.

Blazing Mushroom

Tindral will spawn four mushrooms in quick succession which explore after 3 seconds.
Tanks should alternate soaking these, as they apply a short vulnerability debuff when soaked.
All other players should avoid standing in these.

Sunflame

The raid will take more passive raid damage while Tindral is in moonkin form.

Fire Beam

Tindral will summon a Fire Beam which will start moving around the platform.
Make sure to avoid being hit by it.

Suppressive Ember

Random players will get a healing absorb debuff.
This debuff can stack, so make sure to heal it quickly.

Flaming Germination

Tindral will channel raid damage for 15 seconds and spawn Seed of Flame.
Seeds must be ran over by player to make them disappear. Each seed deals a small amount of damage to the player when destroyed.
Any seeds that are not destroyed during the 15 seconds turn into Flaming Trees, which deal raid damage for 6 seconds.

Flaring Owl Form

When Tindral transforms into his Flaring Owl Form, the intermission begins.
Make sure to avoid getting pushed off the platform by Typhoon.
Pick up an Empowered Feather, which will allow you to Dragonride.
Avoid flying into Scorching Plumes when following the boss.
Fly through as many Dream Essences as possible while following the boss.
After landing, break Tindra’s shield and interrupt him before the cast ends.

Fire Beam

Multiple Fire Beams will spawn around the main one that is called down.

Flaming Germination

A vulnerability debuff is applied when running over a seed. The entire raid needs to assist with clearing them to keep the damage each person takes lower.
Flaming Trees will persist for the rest of the phase, instead of just 6 seconds.

Tanks

When Blazing Mushrooms begin spawning, the first tank should soak mushrooms 1 and 3, while the second 2 and 4.
Taunt swap when the damage from Searing Wrath feels too high to handle with ease.

Healers

Dispel players with Fiery Growth when they run out of the raid.
Spot heal players with Suppressive Ember when Tindral is in his Treant form.
Be mindful of the high damage portions of the encounter, such as Sunflame, Flaming Germination, and Supernova.

DPS

Kill Mass Entanglements as quickly as possible.
Save cooldowns for the Supernova shield after each intermission.
