Prototype PantheonMythic Changes

Mythic introduces Imprinted Safeguards and Night Hunter as abilities that have direct interaction with each other.

Imprinted Safeguards will apply a 35% damage and healing reduction shield to all Necrotic Ritualist and Withering Seeds when they appear.

Night Hunter will target 4 random players and charge them 9 seconds later. Any Necrotic Ritualist and Withering Seeds in the path of the Night Hunter will have their Imprinted Safeguards removed. Standing in the path of the Night Hunter with apply Touch of the Night to all players struck, increasing their damage taken from Night Hunter by 500% for 2 minutes.

Mythic Mechanics

Your raid should have some way of quickly determining which Necrotic Ritualist or Withering Seeds they should move to.

BigWigs and DeadlyBossMods have settings that will mark each player. When using this marking method each Withering Seeds spawn location should have a world marker with a corresponding color near it, as shown in the diagram below.

Night Hunter

Alternatively, a WeakAura can also be used to assign players which will be slightly better since it will only assign ranged players to the far seeds, and melee to the close ones.

Touch of the Night lasts 2 minutes, which means players will be able to soak every other Night Hunter. We recommend assigning about half your raid to help split the damage on the first set, then just alternate.

Night Hunters only require about 1-2 players on each line to split enough damage for it to not be fatal on the target.

Raid Assignments

Your raid will need to use an Interrupt Assignment Weakaura for Gloom Bolt in Phase 1 & 3, and Anima Bolt in Phase 2 & 3.

We recommend assigning 4 unique players to each boss for a total of 8 assignments. Any leftover players with interrupts can be assigned as backups.

Phase StrategiesPhase 1

The first phase is by far the simplest, as your raid just has to kill one set of Necrotic Ritualist.

Night Hunters will spawn shortly after the Necrotic Ritualist. The most important task is breaking the shield on each of them.

After the shield is broken, ranged players must focus the three away from the boss, while melee cleave the one near the bosses. Melee DPS can run out to help with other Necrotic Ritualist if damage on them is low.

Push the bosses to 40% before the second set of Necrotic Ritualist cover the entire platform with Necrosis.

This also means that the second set of Night Hunters don’t need to break any shields since there will be no damage directed into the Necrotic Ritualist. Just make sure there is at least one person on each line to split the damage.

Phase 2

Phase 2 becomes slightly more complicated, as healers will now have to deal with Withering Seeds.

When the first set of seeds appear, make sure all four have their shields broken by Night Hunters.

Withering Seeds should be healed to full one by one. The precise order of healing the seeds can be agreed upon in a few different ways.

Boss frames should only show one seed at a time, so all healers can heal based on the boss frame, or they can be healed in order based on where they appear. This is up to your healers to decide on which method to use.

The first Withering Seed should be healed as quickly as possible, then all following seeds should be healed when there are about 10 seconds left of the Invigorating Bloom debuff to roll its stacks.

When the second set of Withering Seeds appear, only the two close to the boss need to have their shields broken, the two in the back of the encounter area can be left alone. This is because the phase will end before your raid will make use of seeds 3 and 4.

Hand of DestructionHand of DestructionPhase 3

This phase will have both Necrotic Ritualist and Withering Seeds.

On the first set, all four must be broken and two seeds should be healed quickly. After this, seeds should be healed at the same pace as Phase 2.

Use Time Warp as soon as the shields on the seeds and Ritualists break, as this is about the time all four bosses will also be stacked up.

On the second set of seeds, it is enough to break three closest to the boss and leave the far one unbroken.

The first dangerous overlap is the Hand of Destruction cast, where your raid should have several cooldowns assigned to survive.

The goal is to defeat the bosses before a second Hand of Destruction is cast. If all the bosses are low when the second is about to cast we advise quickly focusing on the Prototype of Absolution and kill him before he is able to start casting. This will give your raid a few seconds to safely dps the other bosses instead of having to run around dodging abilities at the end of the fight.

Role StrategiesDPS

Bosses have differing amounts of health, so make sure to look at raw HP in the last phase instead of percent.

Two-minute cooldowns can be used once per phase during this encounter.

Time Warp should be used as soon as the first set of Night Hunters is done in the last phase.

Melee should be assigned to one interrupt rotation of 4, while ranged can be assigned to the other. Tanks can be used as backups while assigned players have to move away, or die.

The most difficult part of this encounter is Phase 3, so make sure to use talents that are best on 4 target cleave.

Healer

Guardian Spirit can be utilized to quickly heal Withering Seeds.

Holy Priests and Holy Paladins are two of the best classes for healing the Withering Seeds.

Use raid cooldowns for Hand of Destruction, and spot heal players who get extra stacks of Burden of Sin.

Tank

Positioning in Phase 2 and 3 is extremely important during Animastorm. Pull the Prototype of Renewal slightly away from the other bosses (towards the tanks left side), which will allow players to keep damaging without having to worry about Animastorm appearing on them.

In Phase 1 and 3, bosses can be moved close to the Prototype of Duty when she does her Pinning Volley combo, which will allow players to continue cleaving her.
