General Raid Tips
Try to learn as much of the fight beforehand. Watch videos, watch streams, go over logs, all to recognize damage patterns.
Don't overlap massive cooldowns (
Tranquility
,
Revival
,
Aura Mastery
,
Power Word: Barrier
,
Divine Hymn
,
Healing Tide Totem
) with your other healers, unless absolutely necessary. On progression, the overheal from one cooldown could be better spent down the line.
Minimize your own damage taken by maximizing the effectiveness of your defensives.
Maximize the targets in your Player-based AoE effects, which include
Essence Font
and
Refreshing Jade Wind
. WeakAuras that track injured targets within their ranges can be found here:
Essence Font
and
Refreshing Jade Wind
.
Antorus, the Burning Throne Specific Tips
Notes About Talents:
For Level 30 Tier, you can take
Tiger's Lust
and use it on slower tanks running
Fel Bombardment
out.
The defensive tier is a bit flexible as well. However,
Diffuse Magic
will see use throughout most of the fight, while
Dampen Harm
is really only useful for mitigating
Eradication
damage after
Apocalypse Drive
.
Rough Healing Areas:
Targets soaking
Annihilation
.
Group-wide damage as
Decimation
meteors impact their circles.
Group-wide damage with
Eradication
.
Notes About Mythic:
You can use your extensive mobility to soak the double
Haywire
-empowered
Annihilation
s.
Placing
Transcendence
in the back of the room is great for maximizing your damage taken from
Eradication
, since it draws you in at a quick rate for 3 seconds. Alternatively, you can place
Transcendence
near the boss at the start in order to get back into melee quicker.
Haywire
-empowered
Annihilation
deals a lot of damage, as there's a lot more debuffs going out to the raid.
Notes About Talents:
All of the damage you can expect to take in this fight is either Fire or Shadow, making
Diffuse Magic
the perfect defensive talent to take.
Refreshing Jade Wind
is perfect for Heroic, but not for Mythic, as the group is split apart, and maybe even slightly scattered after the fact, making
better for Mythic difficulty.
Rough Healing Areas:
Constant damage to anyone inside the
Siphoned
circles.
Targets taking damage from their own
Enflamed
.
Targets stunned by
Molten Touch
.
Notes About Mythic:
Use extensive mobility to make sure tanks aren't feared by
Weight of Darkness
, since there are fewer players available to help split, as well as to make sure you're not caught by the
Consuming Sphere
's
Consuming Obliteration
.
Notes About Talents:
Tiger's Lust
is recommended as it's the one mobility spell in this row that helps to maneuver around
Entropic Mine
s.
Rough Healing Areas:
Ramping Single Target damage on players undergoing a
Psychic Assault
within the command pods.
Group-wide damage from
Fusillade
. Even when under the
Felshield Emitter
's area, the damage is still noticeable, especially near the end of the fight.
Notes About Mythic:
Prepare for
Shock Grenade
&
Fusillade
overlaps by placing
Transcendence
by the
Felshield Emitter
's pylons, ready for when the stun fades.
Notes About Talents:
Leg Sweep
is great for controlling enemies that spawn from
Transport Portal
.
Rough Healing Areas:
If you're healing the portal groups, definitely be on your toes.
Group-wide burst from the completion of
Collapsing World
.
Group-wide when a tank's
Reality Tear
expires.
Notes About Mythic:
The only relevant change for Mistweavers is if you're chosen to ferry platform puddles over to another platform, which your mobility is great for.
Notes About Talents:
The Level 45 talents are fairly flexible.
Mist Wrap
will likely be the most useful, as mana is largely not a factor, depending on your group’s damage in bringing down adds.
Rough Healing Areas:
The entire fight is basically light ticking damage with occasional burst via
Rain of Fel
.
Notes About Mythic:
Be prepared for healing the group you're with when your co-healer (assuming 4 healers, 2 to each group) is healing the
Final Doom
group in the Paraxis.
Be in position for the crystal flower spawn for your own group's
Final Doom
.
Be mindful of casting spells with a cast time when you're near targets with
Feedback - Arcane Singularity
.
Stay in range of players with
Feedback - Targeted
, as they'll be taking increased damage, relative to other players.
Don't let
Feedback - Foul Steps
stack too high.
Notes About Talents:
Tiger's Lust
is the best movement option during the bridge transitions.
Melee Immunity:
You are counted as melee for
Sleep Canister
's targeting.
Rough Healing Areas:
Pay attention to targets with
Pulse Grenade
s, as they'll likely be last on the bridge, requiring more healing.
The placement of
Shrapnel Blast
's mines causes group-wide damage.
Be ready to heal targets targeted by
Charged Blasts
, as they take a fairly sizable amount of damage when it expires.
Notes About Mythic:
Wear
Petrichor Lagniappe
in lieu of
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
. This is to ensure that you'll always have a
Revival
for bridge transitions, as they're more frequent in Mythic.
Notes About Talents:
Use
Tiger's Lust
to ensure you won't accidentally overshoot and collide with a
Diabolic Bomb
.
is taken over
Refreshing Jade Wind
as players are usually too spread out to fully benefit from
Refreshing Jade Wind
.
Save
Mana Tea
for each Construction phase.
Rough Healing Areas:
Group-wide damage whenever a
Diabolic Bomb
explodes.
Heal the players nearby during the Construction phase's
Flames of the Forge
.
Notes About Mythic:
Make sure to use mobility to spread around the boss in melee distance when affected by
Reverberating Decimation
.
Notes About Talents:
Tiger's Lust
, while it remains active, suppresses the slow of
Torment of Frost
.
This fight is
perfect
for
Refreshing Jade Wind
, as you'll likely have it as close to 100% uptime as possible.
Rough Healing Areas:
This fight's group-wide damage ramps up until the coven switches which torment, which ramps up again, meaning the longer a torment goes on, the more you'll have to heal.
If both
Refreshing Jade Wind
and
Essence Font
are on cooldown, you can build
Sheilun's Gift
stacks with
casts on targets with
Misery
for
Whispers of Shaohao
healing, as well as healing up a target who had not had healing for the past few seconds.
Notes About Mythic:
If affected by
Necrotic Embrace
, do NOT try to move as fast possible to the stack point, as you could unintentionally run out of range of other players, spawning a Shadow of Varimathras.
Try to use
Revival
as much as possible, but especially during
Torment of Fel
.
Notes About Talents:
For Mythic, you're picking your poison with the Level 45 talents. Choosing
Spirit of the Crane
will be useful until the first
Torment of Aman'Thul
spawns, after which you'll be too busy healing to regenerate mana. Choosing
Mist Wrap
will be best for healing targets affected by
Fulminating Pulse
or
Chilled Blood
, but will leave you starved for mana.
Ring of Peace
allows safe control over
Torment of Norgannon
placement.
Rough Healing Areas:
Massive single target is needed for targets affected by
Fulminating Pulse
or
Chilled Blood
.
Group-wide damage while at least one
Torment of Aman'Thul
is alive casting
Machinations of Aman'Thul
.
Notes About Mythic:
Watch out for single target healing while
Thu'raya, Mother of the Cosmos
is active and casting
Cosmic Glare
.
Notes About Talents:
Ring of Peace
provides the most utlity in that row, allowing you to either push a slow add into the boss, or away from the boss.
Melee Immunity:
Not targeted by
Scorching Blaze
(or its Mythic counterpart
Ravenous Blaze
).
Rough Healing Areas:
Targets with
Scorching Blaze
require quick healing, best suited for
Vivify
due to the number of targets hit.
Each cast of
Flame Rend
is massive group-wide damage.
Each intermission is ramping group-wide damage via
Unchecked Flame
.
Each
Ember of Taeshalach
that makes contact with Aggramar causes a burst of group-wide damage, as well as leaving
Blazing Eruption
on the entire raid.
Notes About Mythic:
Make sure to be quick on the dispell from
Empowered Foe Breaker
, so tanks are able to make move the boss around accurately for the
Taeshalach Technique
.
Rough Healing Areas:
Each
Tortured Rage
cast is a sizable amount of group-wide damage.
Players with
Soulblight
require some single target healing.
Watch for when
Soulbomb
and/or
Soulburst
expires, as they deal massive group-wide damage.
Watch for
Reorigination Pulse
's group-wide damage, especially when it overlaps with
Tortured Rage
.
Notes About Mythic:
Don't move too quickly with either Sargeras debuff, as you could unknowingly give/gain stacks.
During Phase Two, the second
Soulbomb
player (always a healer) requires massive single target healing in order to stay alive while the next
Avatar of Aggramar
is chosen.
Tomb of Sargeras Specific Tips
Notes About Talents:
Take
Lifecycles
if your group is having issues healing
Crashing Comet
targets, as
Enveloping Mist
can be very effective at healing those targets. Otherwise take
Spirit of the Crane
for mana regen.
Rough Healing Areas:
Crashing Comet
Shattering Star
Rain of Brimstone
Notes About Mythic:
Fortifying Brew
and
Diffuse Magic
are amazing for dealing with the
Rain of Brimstone
soaks or mitigating
Shattering Star
damage.
Notes About Talents:
Take
Lifecycles
if the tanks are taking more damage than anticipated, otherwise take
Spirit of the Crane
for the mana return.
Rough Healing Areas:
Fel Squall
and
Bone Saw
Ranged players immediately after
Suffocating Dark
.
Healing inside
Belac
's cage after
Confess
.
Notes About Mythic:
Since the
Tormented Fragment
s spawn from under
Belac
, and he doesn't move, you place your
Transcendence
spirit under
Belac
for
Spirit Tether
to snare the adds as they spawn.
Notes About Talents:
Talents are fairly inflexible for this boss. The group healing that Mistweavers can do is great for this fight, and the downtime allows for excellent mana regeneration from
Spirit of the Crane
.
Rough Healing Areas:
Unchecked Rage
is a burst of raid-wide damage.
Frigid Blows
can be prolonged period of constant raid damage.
Frosty Discharge
is a massive AoE burst that varies in damage based on each player's
Drenched
stacks.
Notes About Mythc:
When the
Incubated Egg
s begin to hatch, one of the groups can have multiple eggs hatching at once. This group spawns
Sickly Tadpole
that can be slowed with
Spirit Tether
. With
Tiger's Lust
, you can make it to one corner of the room, drop your
Transcendence
, and have enough mobility to make it back in for the
Unchecked Rage
that removes the
Hardened Shell
.
Notes About Talents:
Again, a fairly inflexible fight with regards to talent decisions, at least on Mythic. On all other difficulties, the group healing is largely reduced, so swapping in
is not a bad call.
Rough Healing Areas:
Every Eclipse has a major healing component tied to it, whether it be healing the absorb from the
Embrace of the Eclipse
, or healing the shared damage of
Incorporeal Shot
.
Rapid Shot
targets.
Lunar Beacon
targets.
Notes About Mythic:
Astral Purge
hurts everyone. A lot. Maximize your time spent in melee for
Refreshing Jade Wind
and
Essence Font
to heal as many injured as possible.
This boss has two different styles of healing depending on which realm you're primarily spending time in. Both are included in their own sections below.
HEALING CORPOREAL REALM
Notes About Talents:
In the Corporeal Realm, the healing is more single target focused, with
Mana Tea
falling by the wayside just because
Spirit of the Crane
can regenerate so much mana during
Tormented Cries
.
The Level 90 Talent row is a toss up between
and
Summon Jade Serpent Statue
.
Rough Healing Areas:
Group-wide burst every
Sundering Doom
and
Doomed Sundering
.
Notes About Mythic:
Use
Leg Sweep
after the third tank pulls the
Reanimated Templar
away to act as a 5 second damage reduction for the tank in the Corporeal Realm.
HEALING SPIRIT REALM
Notes About Talents:
Healing inside the Spirit Realm is much more group-oriented. Choosing between
Refreshing Jade Wind
and
is the only real change on this side of healing this boss.
Rough Healing Areas:
Targets with
Wither
active while
Wailing Souls
is being channeled.
Group-wide burst every
Sundering Doom
and
Doomed Sundering
.
Notes About Mythic:
Use
Leg Sweep
after adds spawn and grouped up to act as a 5 second damage reduction.
Rough Healing Areas:
Hydra Shot
Ticking damage from
Consuming Hunger
,
Befouling Ink
, and
Devouring Maw
.
Notes About Mythic:
Leg Sweep
the
Abyss Stalker
s when they're grouped up at low health to prevent them from teleporting away, ruining placement for
Slicing Tornado
.
Rough Healing Areas:
Hammer of Creation
and
Hammer of Obliteration
are huge group burst spells.
Wrath of the Creators
can become heavy sustain damage if it lasts long enough.
Notes About Mythic:
Nothing really huge changes from Heroic to Mythic, just makes sure you're still getting as much effectiveness out of
Refreshing Jade Wind
as possible.
Notes About Talents:
Refreshing Jade Wind
would see so little use in the first phase that the roughly 2 uses of
outweighs the extensive use it would see in the second phase.
Rough Healing Areas:
Spread Group damage during
Unbound Chaos
.
Stacked small group damage during
Touch of Sargeras
.
Rupture Realities
.
Targets that help soak
Dark Mark
.
Notes About Mythic
If you are helping soak the
Tainted Matrix
, do not equip
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
. as the absorb is reduced by 10% for each stack you have, severely diminishing the legendary's effect. Instead, equip
Leggings of The Black Flame
, as they mainly help with their stat budget and the ability to funnel powerful healing those who need it.
Ei'thas, Lunar Glides of Eramas
is too unreliable in the first phase because of the group being way too spread out, and
Doorway to Nowhere
isn't used because of
Essence Font
's limited use in the first phase.
Rough Healing Areas:
Felclaws
on the tank is painful.
The
Erupting Dreadflame
cast from
Shadow Reflection: Erupting
begins to cause substantial damage to the group after the first cast and first stack of
Eruption
is applied.
Focused Dreadflame
and its splash.
Choking Shadow
needs to be healed off in order to start healing players in the second intermission.
The initial
Darkness of a Thousand Souls
is
very
painful because
Tear Rift
hasn't been cast yet.
Notes About Mythic:
Use Mistweaver's high mobility to your advantage, making sure to have
Transcendence
as a safety net in case you are knocked off the edge.
Legendaries
As a rule of thumb,
Velen's Future Sight
and
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
are your go to legendaries, rarely swapping out
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
for anything else.
