Wow I just realized how Spatial Rift racial of Void Elves works well with this spec mechanic of running around for souls, it even allows to return to melee immidiately.

Comment by Eddiero

We do already know the Hero talent Name at least. Annihilation

Another rip off from other classes.
First it was meta from demo locks.
Now its vf from shad Priests.

You cant make it more obvious that blizz is completely empty of ideas. Just call it quits already. Quit making everyone else pay for your horrible ideas.

I get why they use warglaives still, but I really wish they used polearms primarily instead. I think that would make for a very cool vibe that further helps separate them from other Demon Hunters.

As a demon hunter tank currently, I am really interested to see how those new hero talents will affect the playstyle, as we will no longer have fel-scarred but annihilator instead.

I wonder what it even means that "2H scythes will be available as a visual option"...? It specifies 2H scythes which makes it seem unlikely that it means they'll just be able to transmog polearms, so then what? Just the fact that they have one or more spells that visually use a scythe?

FOR THE HORDE BE Havoc Demon hunter is my main but I'm very excited to try a Void Elf Demon Hunter, I am currently leveling Alliance classes in remix and finding the void Elves pack quite a punch ( possibly my new mains ) if Void Elf Devourer Demon hunter is as good as my havoc, I might be forced to betray my loyalty to Horde lol :D

Comment by byrins

Why do horde only get 1 race with this class but alliance gets two how is that fair?

I got the Void Elf and created a new Demon Hunter using the new Devourer spec. Then I dove into the game and the quests by default steered me to Legion. The problem with this is the first quest in Legion is to choose your artifact weapon for which there is not one for Devourer so back to Chromie I go!

Really bad choices in the design, I was excited about it so I leveled up a devourer.
During all my leveling I was only able to use Collapsing Star like 2,3 times... really.
Consume feels odd as a generator. It really feels just half cooked.
In the rotation something feels missing, you don't have a finisher basically.
You don't have AOE, and if this is by design it doesn't compensate with single target options.
Collapsing star is everywhere in the talent tree and is an optional talent? Really? Very lazy design. Disappointed.

So I rolled to the Devourer DH and then leveled it to 80. To me it is not an easy class to play trying to gather up the soul fragments. In Beta, there was a talent that when executed, it pulled all the soul fragments to me. But now it seems to be gone. So now I have to run around to get the fragments while trying to stay alive! This class definatly has a learning curve to it to me! :<
