32 Thorium Ore (Silithus, Winterspring, Un’Goro Crater)

6 Copper Ore (Any starting zone)

2 Essence of Fire (Zone drop from mobs in Blackrock depths and Molten Core)

80 Saronite Ore Wintergrasp is the best place to farm this - obviously when there isn't a battle on - and is free from questers so usually quite empty. Sholazar Basin is also good.

24 – 28 Cobalt Ore Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord

5 Crystallized EarthDrops from mining nodes, you will probably get enough if you are mining. If not, it drops from earth elementals - notably Iron Rune Golem in Howling Fjord and Earthbound Revenant when your faction controls Wintergrasp

1 SCRAP-E Access Card

20 - 60 Cobalt Ore(- each two bars make 1-3 handfuls of bolts, so you might get lucky here.

Titanium is a rare spawn node that can spawn in place of a Saronite Ore node, therefore the fastest way to get Titanium is to farm Saronite nodes. Without a doubt, Wintergrasp is the best zone to farm the mats for the Titansteel Bars, especially if controlled by your faction. There are a huge number of Saronite nodes here and if you mine them all there is a good chance that next time you fly over a couple of them have respawned as Titanium.

Additionally, you can find an Alchemist to Transmute: Titanium, in which case you will need 8 Saronite bars for each Titanium bar (384 Saronite Ore in total). This might be a good option if you are farming in Wintergrasp as you will have bags full of Saronite ore.

If you do need more Crystallized , head to Wintergrasp while your faction controls it. You will be able to see “Revenants”- larger versions of the earth, air, fire, water, shadow and life elementals that are always in Wintergrasp. Revenants have a 100% drop chance of Crystallized . HOWEVER don’t worry too much about farming these to start with, as Crystallized Fire, Earth and Shadow ALL have a chance to drop when mining so you are likely to have a few Eternals by the time you have farmed your Titanium.

You will be looking for Shadow Revenants (western side of the map, “The Forest of Shadows)”, Earthbound Revenants (mostly on the land in the middle areas of the map), and Flame Revenants (south-east corner of the map, “The Cauldron of Flame”).

Note that if you have Zapthrottle Mote Extractor... and as a good engineer you *should* (quest here: The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor! and here: The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor! if you don't have one yet) ... you can also extract the crystallized elements from clouds in the zone (these will show on your map). King’s Amber can be obtained in a number of ways if there are none on your auction house.

Alchemy: Transmuted from 1 x Autumn’s Glow + 1 x Eternal Life (10 Crystallized life) (creates stack of 5)

Soloing (or even getting a friend to help) Onyxia is probably the fastest and easiest way to get this. Otherwise, if you have alchemy or can find an alchemist, the transmute method is likely to be cheaper by far than prospecting, given the rarity of Titanium!

The material are a bit messed up:

Field Repair Bot 74A needs 16 Thorium Bar each, so you need 32 Thorium Ore total

Scrapbot Construction Kit makes stack of 5, so you need 80 Saronite Ore total;
The SCRAP-E Access Card is for you to learn the schematic, so you only need 1.

Just for you to know you can buy the king's amber from a vendor in dalaran for only some justice points. Have fun farming you jeeves. Also the titansteel bar will be your worste problem as it is either hard to get or really expensive to buy. This will be your main problem i think.

Thank you so much for this guide. I always hear people ask for a Jeeves in a raid when we can't just mount up on a Traveler's Tundra Mammoth, and wanted to be of assistance. Plus, I'm just one of those people who has to collect all the recipes on at least one character. :)

Following your guide saved me all the work of looking everything up, and I'd say I got everything done in about 5 hours (including the time it took me to navigate, because I can't find my way around BRD). Finding the schematics for the Field Repair Bot 110G and the Jeeves itself didn't take long for me at all (though times will be different for everyone), and the most time consuming part was farming the Primal Fires, Khorium, and Titanium. I bought the few Eternal Fires I needed for the Titansteel Bars from Frozo the Renowned in Dalaran.

There is a mistake in the materials list for the Field Repair Bot 110G. Each one requires a Khorium Power Core. Each core requires a Khorium bar. Each bar requires 2 Khorium ores. So ten 110G bots will require 20 Khorium ores.

Amazing guide! Thank you so much for this, as I was completely lost as to what a Field Repair Bot was, let alone where to start looking (since I had never even heard of them). Your guide was in the right place at the right time - I was cleaning out my bank of all Outland materials, since I "never use that stuff", only to find that is exactly what I needed to keep! Many thanks. I truly appreciate the clarity and concise format. PS I am a horrible engineer. I had no idea what a Zapthrottle Mote Extractor was.

Just thought of this and tried it out myself. Apparently (or maybe i was just stupid) you must be of the engineering level or close to it for any of the schematics to drop (with exception to the first one). Hope this saves people from camping for hours with no luck, like I was :)

Very good guide. Missing one thing though, if you have a friend who has got a Jeeves and the schematics for the repairs bot for it, you can skip the schematics except the Jeeves one as he can simply craft it for you as the repair bots are BOE. Just thought I'd say this to save people some time. P.S. if you got Scrapbot Construction kit schematic make a few extras for when Jeeves is on cd.

Love this. Just recently levelled a toons engineering to max, and then realized that I didn't have jeeves. Went and found the schematic for Sky Golem... but not Jeeves yet. Left me wondering 'what the helll.....?'

anyway!

The blackrock part is the most painful part. I hate that place with a bloody passion, but there IS a comment on the Wowhead page for it that is REALLY freaking good.

Getting the drop in Outland was easy as well. Dropped off of my 8th kill.

Getting the schematic for Jeeves itself was also beautifully quick. About a dozen of the guardians net it for me =D

Great guide! My friend and I are currently working on this as a fun side project :) Just a small correction: Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G requires Engineering (360) to learn, not (325). The latter is the level requirement for actually using the bot.

I noticed one error in the section discussing Transmute: Titanium. Unless my math is wrong, 24 Titanium bars would require 192 Saronite Bars which would require 384 Saronite Ore. The guide indicates 384 bars.

If you want to drop Jeeves schematics faster, head to the mechanicals near the Library in the Storm Peaks, kill, loot and, by the Gods, 'Skin' them after that. I got mine that way in 6 toons within 10 fast kills, or less.

Hmmmm. I just tried to get the recipe and the Gan' Arg Analyzers are all green, so they can't be attacked and looted. Just did this on my level88 Blood Elf Paladin with Engineering 600.

Not sure what I am missing. I did this with another toon on a different server before WoD came out and was able to get the schematic.

Edit - After further inspection, there appears to be some of them that are green and others that are red, and able to be attacked and looted. The southern-most group was green but as I moved north, they were red.

As of 6.0 you can't get Epic Gems from Vendors as you used to on previous patchs. No Honor trading, no Justice Point trading either.... OP needs to edit this.

As of 6.2.2 Blizz decided to bring back Justice Points for the next patch, so MAYBE there will be a chance to buy your King's Amber on Dalaran instead of farming / transmuting them! Keep an eye open for the news!

Unfortunately there is something wrong with the Gan'arg Analyzer that drops Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G.

Only the 2 northern most spawn points actually spawn NPCs that are unfriendly and you therefore can attack, atleast for horde.

For getting the Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G:

The nearest flight point is Sylvanaar, in Blade's Edge Mountains. If you stand in front of the *inn*, and fly straight up, and straight west - well, as much as you can given the spikes - you will find one of the Simon Units. If you go up from the flight point platform, it's a little south.

For the Gan'arg Analyzer, I didn't find any that were friendly. I did, however, have problems finding any at all - I think other people were also killing them. I made two full rounds, flying between all four, before I found any at all.

I didn't keep track of how many I killed, but I made 6.8gold, got Mark of Sargerasx4, Depleted Crystal Focus x2, Apexis Shard x22, Corroded Mail Belt x1, Corroded Mace x1, and raised my skinning by 10 points picking up the carcasses that other people were leaving.

For getting the SCRAP-E Access Card:

It dropped off the first Library Guardian I killed. In the process of standing there looking at this page and at my alt-tracker, seeing who had what mats and where I'd have to go, I idly killed 5 more Library Guardians, and the Jeeves schematic dropped.

The drop rate is basically guaranteed for engineers level 400. If you have 380ish, you will probably never get the recipe.

As of 6.2(have no clue when it changed or if the info is incorrect) but transmuting a king's amber from alchemy does NOT produce a stack of 5, it only produces 1 but just like any transmute master knows there is a chance of getting more.

I just want to point out, I went to the area in Storm Peaks where the mechanical gnomes are riding the mechanical birds, (directly opposite Ulduar on the other side of the chasm)

I killed one, I got an access card, then I salvaged on the mechanical, and Jeeves schematic dropped.... 1st kill... I guess the drop rate has been increased? Or I was just freaking lucky!

Now off to the other places to farm mats and the other schematics (I like to have things for myself and I highly doubt anyone else will respond to me asking for repair bots these days)

Jeeves Schematic: Ugg! This doesn't state that you need to be skinning them with engineering tools to get it! I know that seems obvious... but I thought the mining icon was for mining metals not engineering parts. Get a gnomish army knife or an arclight spanner before you do this! Or, you wont get anything!

Transmuting this has a CHANCE for transmute master to proc the chance of extras being made; I feel this needs to be mentioned as you will normally only get one Kings Amber as a result (plus incur a 1 day cooldown, too)

Thanks a million for this precise guide! Personally, I bought just about everything on the list from the AH, other than what I had in my own personal Guild Bank, and what my generous guildies donated. I haven't gone out to get the actual schematic for Jeeves yet, but I do not anticipate any problems there. NOTE: I just leveled Engineering yesterday 1-630 in less than 2 hours - true story! The character I leveled it on is a Level 95 with a level 2 Garrison. I didn't track my progress because I honestly expected the normal horrific, beastly grind that is leveling Engineering, so for anyone interested this is the best of my recollection: I started construction of an Engineer shack, and then started leveling Engineering. When I got to around 50, my shack was done and I was able to buy the Draenor Engineering, which gave me enough recipes with multiple skill-ups that I was able to raise my skill to 630. It does require a large amount of both WoD ores. I also leveled my Blacksmithing in the same manner and am now actually maxed. And, again, I maxed out 4 of my characters in Cooking in one evening. It appears to me that Blizzard is making it easy for high level characters (those with garrisons? those in their 90's? I am guessing at the parameters) to max crafting professions using mostly current content mats.

Important think to keep in mind, Frozen Orb can now be bought for ~60g at these vendors and then traded at Frozo for any Eternal you need. Much better then trying the AH or farming them yourself.

Under your guide to getting the Field Repair Bot 74A, you mention Direbrew's Remote taking you to the Grim Guzzler, but it no longer does. It now takes you to just inside the instance.

Word of caution: with the BfA changes to professions getting a Jeeves on a fresh character is a much more expensive and complicated ordeal, especially on lower pop servers.

The recepie for "Field Repair Bot 74A" : If you do this during the Brewfest, the Coren Direbrew daily is in the same instance, quite close to where you need to go. Also, kill the fire mobs, they might just drop the Essence of fire you need.

Has anyone gotten this post shadowlands release? I am engineering classic 300 (max), outlands 75 (max), northrend 75 (max), and shadowlands 100 (max) and I have been farming this for days with zero drop. I've even tried ulduar twice now, due to some comments about the drop rate being good, killing/salvaging the three mechanical bosses, and adds/trash, with zero drops. But mainly been farming the Library Guardians with zero luck.

For anyone wondering about the requirements for this post-shadowlands and what is needed to acquire each one, this is my experience from getting engineering for the first time.

Field Repair Bot 74A - 300 Vanilla(base) Engineering (I did not try to get the schematic without having 300 engineering, I just levelled and went and picked it up but I don't think you can)

Field Repair Bot 110G - 60 Outland Engineering (I got the Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G within 15 kills of the Gan'arg Analyzer, I only had 1 outland engineering)

Scrapbot Construction Kit - 50 Northrend Engineering (I had SCRAP-E Access Card drop on my first kill at 75, I suspect it guaranteed once you reach 50. I tried at 1 northrend engineering and gave up after around 30 kills with no success).

Schematic: Jeeves - 75 Northrend Engineering (I got this drop accidentally for the first time when engineering a dead Stormforged Construct in Halls of Lightning during the Wrath Timewalking event, I already had max northrend engineering due to leveling it for the Scrapbot Construction Kit so I couldn't test if this drops at level 1)

For those who are Lazy like me and are sitting on a pile of gold, and also Engi Northrend lvl 1: You can all buy in AH cheaper these days then to craft (Patch 9.2.7 AH went Region wide opened dfor regrents)...
Followed this guide to get to Northrend Engi lvl 75, then with the Jeves part - buyed all from AH - the card and jeeves was just only thing i was forced to do but still all was done on 1st Guardin Mob, Anyway the total gold cost for me was 27. 687g

Death Knight Vulpera with classic engineering at 300, Northrend at 75, and Outland at 75. So hours of killing and scrapping, 3 days with ~8 hours a day, I couldn't get the Schematic: Jeeves to drop... ALL THE THINGS mod said I haven't obtained it. I attempted on 2 other alts and had my S/O join me and she and my 2 alts got it in a few minutes... so infuriating... Well the story gets better. I should of checked my bank... There it was just waiting for me to get Northrend to 75(it dropped before I had 75) and completely forgotten. Now I have Jeeves!
Totally worth it!

I have done this 5 or 6 times over the years.

I got the schematic for Jeeves not from looting, but from mining mobs for mats after killing them.

Specifically the Mobs in front of the Library in Storm Peaks.

As of 2025 (The War Within), you can buy the materials needed on the auction house, even the bots.
I just bought the full mats and flew to the area south of Ulduar and the Jeeves schematic dropped from the first mob I killed. I think they increased the drop rate with some recent expansion.

If you want a Jeeves the only item you really need to farm nowadays is its own schematic, Schematic: Jeeves, because it's soulbound and you can now buy all the mats required to craft it from the Auction House. To find the schematic make sure you take with you a Arclight Spanner and go kill some Library Guardian in The Storm Peaks around /way #120 40.8 42.4; Then salvage their corpses. Mine dropped within 5min, having 1/300 in Classic Engineering and without even having learnt Northrend Engineering at all. However, to learn the actual schematic you need 75 in Northrend Engineering.

Now, if you are a masochist like me and want to learn all the schematics anyway here is how:

1. To find Schematic: Field Repair Bot 74A, go into Blackrock Mountain and head down towards /way 43, 43; to get to Blackrock Depths instance. Go through the Shadowforge Gate on your left, then through another Shadowforge Gate on your right, and then through the East Garrison Door on your left, which leads down to the East Garrison. Shadowforge Key is no longer needed, so just press the Shadowforge Lock to spin the wheel and open up a secret door. To get to that door, go back up the first stairs and turn left before the second stairs. Follow the path via the unlocked door, which leads to the West Garrison. Follow the path to get to the Manufactory, at the end of which Golem Lord Argelmach boss is. The schematic is a clickable scroll on the ground. Classic Engineering skill of 300 is required to learn it.

2. To find Schematic: Field Repair Bot 110G , first ensure you know Outland Engineering, otherwise the schematic won't drop. This can be learned at the Scryer's Tier in Shattrath City at /way 43.8, 90.4, inside the building is a library. Just interact with the bookcase labeled "Engineering".

It drops from mobs with nameplates "Gan'arg Analyzer" in game (called "Simon Unit" in logs). They can be found in Blade's Edge Mountains, Outland in 4 camp areas with floating crystals at:

/way 27.49, 68.67
/way 31.72, 63.85
/way 33.37, 52.09
/way 28.90, 46.35

Mine dropped on the second camp, ~12th kill. Drop chance seems to be much better than the ~2% stated in Wowhead, so don't let it scare you.

To learn it you need Outland Engineering 60.

3. To find Scrapbot Construction Kit, first learn Northrend Engineering from Timofey Oshenko, located in Dalaran (Crystalsong Forest) at /way 38, 25; secondly take with you 4 Handful of Cobalt Bolts and 5 Overcharged Capacitor and head to The Storm Peaks at /way #120 40.8 42.4; Kill Library Guardian until it drops SCRAP-E and complete it inside The Inventor's Library with the materials you already brought with you. Then complete the followup quest The Prototype Console, which rewards Scrapbot Construction Kit.
