The key to this fight is being able to deal damage while kiting. Even getting hit once can end your encounter.

In Phases 2, 4, and 5, you don't need to kill the small adds and can just kite them until you defeat Raest.

Save mobility cooldowns in phases 4 and 5 to soak Rune of Summoning.

You don't need to kill Karam to complete the fight, just Raest.

Kite Karam around the edges of the room in Phases 1, 3, and 5 to avoid having slow puddles in your way.

Save Drums of Deathly Ferocity for the last phase.

Don't interrupt Shadow Bolt to keep Raest in the middle of the arena.

How to Defeat Karam and Raest MagespearPhase 1Karam Magespear:

Rising Dragon - Deals massive fire damage and knocks the player back a considerable distance.

Purgatory - Upon reaching 33% health, Karam will become immune to damage and channel this heal for about 35% of his health.

Phase 2Raest Magespear:

Shadow Bolt - An interruptable cast that does very little shadow damage.

Shadowy Fiend and Shadowy Vestige - Slowly move towards the player and will do massive damage if they reach you.

Hand from Beyond - Priority target that will cast Grasp from Beyond, an interruptable cast which will one-shot you upon completion.

Phase 3Phase 4

Rune of Summoning - A purple rune on the ground which must be stood in, or it will spawn a Thing of Nightmare, which will one-shot you.

Marksmanship Hunter
Frost Mage

so brizzard buffed event and made it impossible for many classes definitely. Great job lol.

Tryed to do as frost mage (already did fire event from 2nd pull btw). Previous tactic was killing Karam because in other case he just takes 6+ stacks and oneshot u. Without him on ur back and his "hands" you just slowly finish his brother. But now we have +500% damage buff from 2nd boss! Wow. So great! Could blizzard explain how to push 30% of boss when his brother have 6 stacks and 1 shot u cos his speeds simply faster? I have a feeling they never test this event. I can bet my kidney for that. In old times with overgear u probably can do it this way. But not in this %^&* 50lvl no socket gear. Ofc sockets helps slighly but this event must be doable w/o it at all. Just because of skills and tactic.

To overcome hand interrupts and get more control as an Engineer:

Frag Belt Frag Belt
1m Cooldown
Make a macro so its quick:
/use "belt item name'
Other grenades or bombs also work if you are not an engineer but they might use a longer cooldown.

I found this easiest on Marksman hunter. No lone wolf, and I specced into all the traps and concussive shot. I popped all cooldowns in P2 / first immune phase. Phase 3 and on with the runes I used my pet to stand in the runes and just kited with a Concuss focus macro. Made switching between boss and hands easy and I used the knockback/root traps to give me more ability to standstill.

As balance druid I achieved this on first try with the following approach:

Get both Feline Swiftness talent points (+15% movement speed), enchant every gear you can with speed tertiary stats. I ended up with 13.31% speed (15% Feline Swiftness talent speed not included). This speed made it TRIVIAL to kite everything. You're literally faster than the brother that fixates you (Karam Magespear). Get the Skull Bash talent for interrupts, and Solar Beam of course.

During off-phase one when Raest Magespear can be hit for the first time, pop Incarnation and do as much damage as possible. Generally ignore the adds, using just Sunfire and 3-4 Starfalls toward the end maybe. if you Starfall early it will only hit the first pack that spawns, but if you Starfall at the end, it will damage them all because they all have spawn at that point, so late Starfall is way more value.

During the second main phase just kite the brother (Karam) while damaging him as little as possible. Wait for the Incarnation CD to come back up. Interrupt the casting add as needed, and kill it as it re-spawns to avoid being overrun. You have all the time in the world. I do run the Orbital Strike talent to make Incarnation a 2 min CD. Once Incarnation is back up, force the next off phase by damaging Karam again.

Second offphase: Same as first off-phase, ignore the adds, pop Incarnation and burst Raest. This is the last time you can do so with some peace. Don't forget to bait the adds away from the soak before the soak spawns, then quickly move to the soak, slowing the adds with Ursol's Vortex. Keep bursting Raest.

With all the above, Raest was at ~10% HP left during the final phase, where everything happens at once. It's pretty easy to finish him then.

The scaling is idiotic. Blizzard really needs to learn game design and the most important aspect of a game: FUN.
Annoying and difficult are not fun, why do developers not know this.

This fight is bugged as MM, killed both brothers first multiple times, do not get credit.
