Welcome to the Tomb of Sargeras Boss Tips guide, updated for 7.3.2. This guide is written by
Gistwiki
of
Storm, Earth, and Lava
.
Antorus, The Burning Throne
The builds suggested here primarily suggest one of the two Tier 21 single-target builds based around
Ascendance
or
Icefury
for single-target and an AoE build centered around
Lightning Rod
though I'll go over exceptions and particular suggestions on a fight-by-fight basis.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
I personally prefer
Icefury
for this boss as there's a lot of predictable movement that it makes simple so long as you're used to it.
Ascendance
is still a viable option here as well if you prefer it.
Par for the course as first bosses go, there's nothing Elemental-specific to look out for on Normal or Heroic.
Mythic Tips:
Make sure that you try to save
Astral Shift
for any
Annihilation
or
Haywire
secondary soaks that you aren't topped off for. Those soaks can get very dangerous at times, especially in the last phase.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Battalion-Shattering Leggings
- This is a decent non-set piece, but as tier legs are good to begin with this doesn't match up to other options without a large item level gap
Heedless Eradication Gauntlets
Cloak of the Burning Vanguard
Prototype Personnel Decimator
- Pass on this trinket, it's one of the worst in the zone for Ele.
Viscous Reaver-Coolant
- As a Flame Shock relic, this is ok if you still have T20 but is terrible once you move to T21
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
This fight is one that's worth keeping your old Tier 20 set bonuses for. Unless the gap between your Tier 20 and Tier 21 is greater than 30 item levels, you'll generally want to use Tier 20 (and subsequently
Primal Elementalist
) for as keeping Flame Shocks rolling on 2 targets is going to make it worthwhile. It's usually not worth going with
Storm Elemental
without a specialized (read: All haste/crit, little-nothing of anything else) gearset for it though.
No changes in legendaries for this encounter, as you'll still run a gambling build. It is however worth noting that running
Icefury
is viable here as well.
Mythic Tips:
Nothing of additional importance here for Elemental. Just more mechanics that everyone needs to pay attention to.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Pauldrons of the Soulburner
Shadowfused Chain Coif
- One of your better off-slot options, though it's ultimately worse than the helm from Portal Keeper
Whistling Ulna
- Best available base trait on a Storm Relic in Antorus, though only the 4th best trait overall
Collar of Null-Flame
- Worst possible stats for a neck, avoid it!
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
This is a standard cleave/AoE fight, and the exact build you'll want to run for it will depend on your group. The above build is meant to maximize AoE alongside
Al'Akir's Acrimony
&
Sephuz's Secret
. Depending on your group, running
Soul of the Farseer
or
Aftershock
for more stable single-target or
Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish
for better burst AoE for the adds may be better for you individually.
If you have to be in a pod, try your utmost to be assigned to pod #3 as there are no adds during that section of the fight at all
Mythic Tips:
If your guild is struggling with bat damage you can opt into more single-target damage by using
Soul of the Farseer
and
Aftershock
as listed above or even use
Elemental Blast
but don't drop
Lightning Rod
. Ele's greatest strength on this fight is turning add cleave into boss damage with Lightning Rod. Don't give it up for the world.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Depraved Tactician's Waistguard
Fleet Commander's Hauberk
- Another good option for your off-set piece if you get a high ilvl version of either it or the tier helm
Terminus Signaling Beacon
- Very strong AoE trinket. Pick one up for future use on this boss, Eonar, Portal Keeper Hasabel, and M+.
Drape of Venerated Spirits
- This is a part of your optimal 4-pc despite the terrible stats.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
Like AHC, this is a standard cleave/AoE fight unless you're sent upstairs (you shouldn't be, that's primarily a melee job.) All the same suggestions apply here. The default legendaries should be
Al'Akir's Acrimony
&
Sephuz's Secret
but
Soul of the Farseer
,
Aftershock
, and
Elemental Blast
can let you lean more into single-target or
Kil'jaeden's Burning Wish
can let you lean more on burst AoE. Which is best for you will depend on your group and how fast you kill things. Experiement!
Mythic Tips:
Nothing really changes here from an Elemental perspective on Mythic. Making sure you interrupt the small adds becomes more important, so make sure to utilize
Wind Shear
&
Capacitor Totem
to their fullest so that there are no surprise wipes!
Elemental Gear Drops:
Nexus Conductor's Headgear
- Assuming item level is equal, this will be the best available helm and your preferred offset piece.
Reality-Splitting Wristguards
- One of 3 sets of wrists in Antorus, these may be good in certain gearsets. Always sim to be certain which is best for you!
Vulcanarcore Pendant
- 2nd best itemized neck in Antorus behind the Argus neck.
Seal of the Portalmaster
Sublimating Portal Frost
- The +1% Nature damage trait is weak. Netherlight Crucible rolls can carry it, but there are many better options for frost relics in Antorus.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
This fight is almost entirely AoE with a little bit of priority target hitting thrown in, making my favored build the above. Priority adds don't live long enough to take advantage of
Primal Elementalist
to its fullest I've found, so my preference is
Elemental Blast
.
When killing bats, try to get 1 or two
Lightning Rod
s up before using
Stormkeeper
to AoE them down as this significantly increases your bat damage. Also, don't knock the bats back with
Thunderstorm
as this will cause bats to immediately beeline to Eonar!
Mythic Tips:
If you get assigned to click the red crystal
Feedback - Burning Embers
then make sure you save either
Gust of Wind
or your Extra Action Button
Surge of Life
for the knockup as the falling damage is quite heavy. As a squishy ranged that's the crystal you *should* be assigned to, but on the off-chance you're assigned
Feedback - Targeted
just be extra careful of the standard mechanics of the fight as they'll always target you as well.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Sash of the Gilded Rose
Loop of the Life-Binder
- Assuming item level is equal this *should* be the third best ring from Antorus, but as always with jewelry sim to be certain of upgrades!
Vitality Resonator
- While there are many opportunities to take advantage of the higher int at higher hp portion of the use, it's relatively weak. It's a good filler while waiting for trinkets from Kin'garoth & Argus though!
Droplets of the Cleansing Storm
- Another Flame Shock relic. Pick it up if you still use T20-4 for progression, but otherwise avoid it unless you get a very high ilvl one.
Robes of Venerated Spirits
- Tier, and part of your optimal 4-pc! This is also the best itemized piece of tier in Antorus!
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
Imonar is a full single-target fight with long periods of downtime while you move back and forth between the two main platforms. Due to this downtime,
Ascendance
is preferred for the level 100 tier talent.
Mythic Tips:
If your raid doesn't have a Bear for a reliable
Stampeding Roar
then consider taking
Wind Rush Totem
to help get everyone across the bridge in a timely manner. Assuming you don't have monstrously high dps, it should be up for every other transition. It's worth keeping in mind that
Gust of Wind
has relatively limited use here so taking
Wind Rush Totem
for group emergencies has the potential to prevent the occasional wipe.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Deft Soulhunter's Sabatons
- Decent pickup for an AoE set if nobody else wants it, or if you don't have the legendary boots yet.
Preysnare Vicegrips
- Same as the boots above. Solid for any situation where you aren't using the legendary gloves.
Drape of the Spirited Hunt
Hoarfrost-Beast Talon
- Chain Lightning relic. NLC can carry it, but it's probably best if you avoid it.
Leggings of Venerated Spirits
- Tier legs! Part of your optimal 4-pc
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
Kin'garoth is all single target damage, with burst phases that're approximately 2 minutes apart. As
Ascendance
can't be up for every set of adds (said burst phase) my suggestion is to use
Icefury
for more consistent damage each burst phase. Additionally you could even look to things like
Master of the Elements
or
Storm Elemental
for even more focus on that burst damage, but those choices hit you very hard outside of those phases and generally aren't large enough of a boost to be worth it. If your guild is struggling with add damage though, it's something to try and consider.
Mythic Tips:
Gust of Wind
becomes even more necessary than usual here, as many guilds adopt a strategy where you leave many
Diabolic Bomb
s up later on in the fight and getting to/from your assigned construct is much easier with it.
Try to go into each
Apocalypse Protocol
phase with full a full maelstrom bar,
Stormkeeper
pre-casted, and if possible stacks of
Power of the Maelstrom
up. This fight on mythic is all about damage to the constructs, and that's part of the ideal way to maximize it.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Scalding Shatterguards
- One of the three wrist drops in Antorus. Which one is best at any given time varies with your gearset, so make sure to compare them via sims!
Gloves of Venerated Spirits
- Tier Gloves, but you'll be using a legendary in this slot most of the time so you can ignore this particular piece of tier.
Band of the Sargerite Smith
- While not optimally itemized, this ring is itemized well and will be the best ring in the instance for most gearsets.
Acrid Catalyst Injector
- Best trinket in the instance without question. Get one as quickly as you can.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
Varimathras is yet another full-on single-target fight. For normal and heroic that's all there is to it. Both
Icefury
and
Ascendance
are about equal for Normal and Heroic. There's nothing here that's elemental-specific beyond perhaps that this is the only fight that you could take
Ancestral Guidance
on and never feel guilty about it. Using
Gust of Wind
is asking to die and
Wind Rush Totem
doesn't have much use either.
Mythic Tips:
I strongly prefer
Icefury
for Mythic, especially when you're progressing early. You'll have many
Shadow of Varimathras
that need to be killed quickly before their
Echoes of Doom
cast finishes or it's an instant wipe. Elemental shines at killing these adds as you can pool Maelstrom Power and a T21-2pc proc to chunk them. If you don't pool properly,
Icefury
allows you to continue helping significantly on those adds as well. When using
Ascendance
you're ill-equipped to recover from that kind of mistake and unless your raid can pick up the slack it's a wipe.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Nathrezim Shade-Walkers
Robes of the Forsaken Dreadlord
Riveted Choker of Delirium
Neuroshock Electrode
- As a 1% Nature Damage (Call The Thunder) relic this is one of the weaker options. There are no "great" Storm Relic options though, so keep an eye on these as NLC can make it good enough to use.
Recommmended Build:
Basic Tips:
Coven of Shivarra is another fight where, like with Felhounds of Sargeras, it's worth keeping and using your T20-4pc bonus unless you've got at least 30 ilvls per slot on it with your T21 set. 2 constant flame shock targets, along with the many adds that the Fire Ele tends to line up very well for, make this close to the ideal fight for the T20-4pc.
On Heroic getting to the safe zones for
Storm of Darkness
quickly is a necessity, and
Gust of Wind
is an important part of that. Make sure you're careful during
Fury of Golganneth
though or you may accidentally kill yourself and others!
Mythic Tips:
As Elemental has a short-cd ranged interrupt in
Wind Shear
you'll almost certainly be in the interrupt rotation for
Thu'raya, Mother of the Cosmos
's
Touch of the Cosmos
. Make sure you keep her in range to interrupt her, as that can occasionally be tricky during
Fury of Golganneth
.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Legguards of Numbing Gloom
Pauldrons of Venerated Spirits
- Part of your ideal 4-pc, though it's one of the better options to use an offpiece for (argus shoulders) if you can't get a helm from Portal Keeper or have a high ilvl tier helm.
Zealous Tormentor's Ring
- Assuming ilvl is equal this *should* be the 2nd best ring in the raid, and the best for AoE. As always with jewelry, sim to make sure what's best for your current gearset.
Stormcaller's Fury
- As an Earthquake relic this is one you should strive to avoid, but again as there's no good Storm Relic in Antorus for Ele keep an eye on it as the NLC can carry it.
Frigid Gloomstone
- Once you have your T21-4pc this is the best frost relic in the raid and has the 2nd-best trait for ele in the game. Aim for this one or the one off Argus as the traits are about equal.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
Aggramar is primarily single-target with moderate movement and a few priority adds. I personally prefer
Icefury
for this fight, though
Ascendance
is viable as well.
Earthbind Totem
,
Capacitor Totem
, and
Thunderstorm
can all play an active role in controlling the
Ember of Taeshalach
adds on heroic. Each (especially the last two) can and should be used as necessary.
Mythic Tips:
On mythic, the intermission phase is about burning down the two
Flame of Taeshalach
relatively quickly so that you're more easily able to control the
Ember of Taeshalach
adds. Elemental, when you properly prepare for it, can shine in this aspect. If, like on Kin'garoth, you go into the phase with a full Maelstrom Power bar and
Stormkeeper
pre-casted you're able to get a huge burst of damage onto the Flames as they're spawning and do high overall damage to them.
You'll likely be in a knockback rotation as
Thunderstorm
is tied for the farthest knockback in the game and with mass grips spreading the adds shouldn't be a concern. In the final phase, if your raid elects to move the boss around a bit to help control the Embers, make sure you're knocking the main pile back so that it's both as far from the boss as possible, and close to any stragglers that may have spawned from
Flare
if possible. This will help maintain overall control over the adds and hopefully lead you to an easier kill!
Elemental Gear Drops:
Greatboots of the Searing Tempest
World-Ravager Waistguard
- Best available Waist in the raid.
Greatcloak of the Dark Pantheon
Headdress of Venerated Spirits
- Your tier helm, but not part of your ideal 4-pc. The helm from Portal Keeper, assuming item level is equal, will be the piece to use here. When item levels aren't equal though, this can change.
Recommended Build:
Basic Tips:
For Normal and Heroic Argus the boss itself is all single-target. The adds in the constellation phase each have debuffs that increase the damage they take from certain schools, which makes
Icefury
impractical. It *can* be used, but my personal preference is
Ascendance
Unless you're going to significantly overcap Mastery, then the
Strength of the Sky
buff will be better than
Strength of the Sea
buff.
Mythic Tips:
For mythic
Strength of the Sea
tends to be better than
Strength of the Sky
, as the 4 or 5 (depending on push timing) buffs you get will take you well over 100% Mastery in most reasonable gearsets, and the survivability you get from the extra versatility in P1 can't be taken for granted.
In the final phase,
Chain Lightning
will bounce from the
Apocalypsis Module
s to the boss from an extremely long distance, take advantage of this for some additional cleave!
Shaman are one of the better choices to collect orbs in the spirit realm as you can ghost wolf while dead. Pick up a
Brysngamen, Torc of Helheim
in case you're called upon to gather orbs in Phase 3 as extra titanforging uptime can mean the difference between a .2% wipe and a kill!
Elemental Gear Drops:
First you of course have the two
Pantheon Trinkets
-
Norgannon's Prowess
&
Aman'Thul's Vision
. Neither of these can be aimed for, but only obtained by luck.
Aman'Thul's Vision
is the better one of the two, but
Norgannon's Prowess
is strong enough that you should be using it until you get
Aman'Thul's Vision
.
Helm of the Awakened Soul
- In the unreasonable case that you get absolutely no warforges, titanforges, or sockets on any of your tier slot items this is technically the best offset piece because of the higher base item level. It falls behind the helm from Portal Keeper otherwise though.
Pauldrons of Colossal Burden
Chain of the Unmaker
- This should be the best neck in the raid, though as always with jewelry sim to be sure.
Sullied Seal of the Pantheon
- Don't discard this immediately due to the poor itemization. Depending on the gearset, the higher item level can occasionally put it mildly ahead of other options. As always, sim jewelry to be certain what's best for your gearset.
Rime of the Spirit Realm
- The trait on this relic is about even with the one on the Frost relic from Coven (technically 3rd overall.) Between the two, higher item level and NLC rolls will determine which is better.
Conch of the Thunderer
- The trait on this relic is Chain Lightning, but as there are no good storm relics higher item level and NLC rolls can carry it.
Tomb of Sargeras
The builds suggested here for Tomb of Sargeras assume that you're still running the Tier 20 set bonuses. Single-target builds utilizing Tier 21 can be found in the Antorus guide above or in the
Stat Priority Guide
where I go over each build in greater detail. Most of the raid will see you using either the single-target build of your choice or a more cleave/aoe-focused one based on
Lightning Rod
, but I'll note any additional noteworthy builds on a fight-by-fight basis.
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
As the first boss, Goroth's fairly basic. There's nothing Elemental-specific to look out for on Normal or Heroic.
Mythic Tips:
There is one additional mechanic to watch out for on Mythic -
Rain of Brimstone
. In order to soak it alone, you'll need to have
Astral Shift
active and either an additional external cooldown from one of your healers or a full shield from
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
. Without that, you'll need at a bare bones minimum 1 other person with you to soak it and 2 others to soak it safely.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Felsoul Vortex
- This is the best available storm relic in Tomb!
Belt of Screaming Slag
Pain-Singed Armguards
- These are the
only
mail bracers in Tomb!
Cloak of Stifling Brimstone
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
The artifact trait
Volcanic Inferno
will add
Torment
to your
Torment
bar if it's under Belac for
Fel Squall
or Atrigan for
Bone Saw
. Make sure to swap at least 6 seconds early to avoid unnecessary
Torment
!
On Heroic and Mythic, the talent
Gust of Wind
can be used to dodge Atrigan's
Calcified Quills
. When it's being cast at you, simply use
Gust of Wind
when
Calcified Quills
is about to end (around 1/4 to 1/10th of a second or so left in the cast) and you'll dodge it entirely. Just make sure you wait long enough or you may accidentally turn
Calcified Quills
at your raid instead!
Mythic Tips:
Be aware of the positioning of
Tormented Fragment
s in Mythic, as Chain Lightning can bounce quite far and you can accidentally pick up unnecessary
Torment
if you're not careful!
Taking
Lightning Rod
and even
Liquid Magma Totem
can have their uses here depending on how your guild handles going down into the cage and the adds themselves. Experiment!
Elemental Gear Drops:
Helmet of the Skybreaker
Flesh-Raking Leggings
Pauldrons of the Gibbering Eye
String of Extracted Incisors
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
Take a few pulls to get used to the bounce range of Chain Lightning here. Once you're used to it you're able to pretty consistently hit 4-5 targets with Chain Lightning each time. Knowing which targets Chain Lightning will and won't be able to bounce to at a glance is a big part of maximizing your damage on this fight.
Mythic Tips:
Depending on how much AoE damage your guild has, and which tadpoles your guild decides to hatch,
Liquid Magma Totem
can be extremely powerful here for progression.
Sephuz's Secret
is very powerful here as well, as you can proc it fairly easily each wave via interrupting
Drenching Waters
casts from the Wavemenders.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Ice-Threaded Conch
- Weakest Frost Relic in the instance, try to let others get it first unless it's a huge ilvl increase.
Grips of the Skybreaker
- The only tier token you want to outright avoid. Any of the other 5 have their uses, but you shouldn't be looking to use these gloves at all as Elemental.
Hauberk of Frozen Mist
Insulated Finpads
Charm of the Rising Tide
- This is a good trinket only for the Gambling Build, and is one of the best for that build. Unless you run that build for single-target dps you can ignore this trinket entirely.
Scaled Band of Servitude
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
This is a fight where
Sephuz's Secret
,
Al'Akir's Acrimony
, and
Soul of the Farseer
can all have use as it's a fight that leans pretty heavily towards AoE. Sephuz can be used to interrupt the
Dark Depths
casts of the
Abyss Stalker
s starting on heroic, and the
Water Blast
casts of
Razorjaw Waverunner
s of any difficulty. In addition, all adds can be stunned to proc Sephuz as well.
Liquid Magma Totem
can also be a powerful tool, though it depends on how much AoE your raid has. If
Abyss Stalker
s are dying before you get most of your LMT off, then it's probably not worthwhile.
Mythic Tips:
This fight on Mythic requires very controlled AoE dps, and also has a very high single-target requirement. As such, try to work with your guild so that you're able to use
Lightning Rod
to its full potential, as in theory it should provide the greatest single-target when you're able to utilize it fully on a fight like this.
If you find your AoE/cleave is too much and you're killing
Abyss Stalker
s too quickly, consider swapping to an
Ascendance
-based single-target build. Killing those stalkers too quickly will cause wipes, so be conscious of that!
Elemental Gear Drops:
Flawless Hurricane Pearl
- As this one has an AoE trait it's at the bottom of the list for Storm Relics in Tomb
Globe of Frothing Eddies
- A decent Frost relic, though #3 out of 4 for Frost Relics in Tomb
Azure Squallshaper's Helm
Shroud of the Drowned Adherent
Legguards of the Skybreaker
- Tier! This is for most the best-itemized tier token for us this tier, and should definitely be a priority to get.
Terror From Below
- Mid-tier trinket for all builds. 3rd in Tomb for both Gambling & non-gambling builds assuming no Warrforging or Titanforging is involved.
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
There's no particular Elemental-related tips or tricks to utilize here. For dps this fight is all about single-target dps and dodging mechanics. Take the single-target build of your choice here.
Mythic Tips:
Try to save
Astral Shift
for
Rapid Shot
in Phase 2 and for stacking
Lunar Beacon
s in Phase 3.
Rapid Shot
is especially deadly, so be sure to call for an external cooldown if
Astral Shift
isn't available when it's on you.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Tarnished Sentinel Medallion
- For any build other than the Gambling build this trinket is your best single-target trinket!
Yathae's Thumb Ring
Waistguard of Interminable Unity
Mantle of Waning Radiance
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
Al'Akir's Acrimony
,
Soul of the Farseer
, and
Sephuz's Secret
all make strong showings on this boss as there's plenty of AoE and plenty of adds to stun and interrupt.
A
Lightning Rod
-based build that otherwise focuses on single-target is the most stable build to use here, but full AoE builds are fun and effective here as well.
Try to line
Stormkeeper
with
Soul Residue
spawns as you'll be able to melt them with your 3 empowered Chain Lightning casts.
Mythic Tips:
Work with your guild to be assigned to the spirit realm, as Elemental has a very difficult time surviving
Spear of Anguish
. If you end up being assigned to the corporeal realm, make sure that you both use
Astral Shift
AND get an external from one of your healers. You
can
technically survive with
Astral Shift
alone, but if
Wailing Souls
is going on in the spirit realm as you're sent there you'll likely be killed by that before the heal-absorb can be healed off of you unless you had that additional external (or a full shield from
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
.)
Elemental Gear Drops:
Locket of Splintered Souls
Drape of the Skybreaker
Gauntlets of Spiteful Haunting
Preserved Starlight Incense
- A decent storm relic, even though it's technically 3rd out of the 4 available in Tomb.
Spectral Thurible
- The worst trinket for single-target in tomb, but the 2nd-best one for AoE. Feel free to pick one up for M+ when your Shadow Priests all have one.
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
This is probably the only boss where I'll say that one of the single-target builds are a head and shoulders above the rest. Use either a basic
Ascendance
build or a gambling build as they will be much stronger than
Lightning Rod
or
Icefury
based builds due to being able to stack
Ascendance
with
Essence Fragments
buffs.
Save your first
Ascendance
so that lines up with the first
Titanic Bulwark
so that you have a full set of
Essence Fragments
buffs for it. Saving
Ascendance
for the first buff also makes it line up for the 3rd
Titanic Bulwark
as well!
Mythic Tips:
There's nothing specific to elemental that you can play around for Mythic that you aren't already doing in normal or heroic. Just do those mechanics!
Elemental Gear Drops:
Unfurling Origination
- This is the #2 Storm Relic in Tomb, and is definitely worth holding on to while you wait on Goroth to cough up his relic!
Virus of Lethargy
- This is the #2 Frost Relic in Tomb. Unless you can get a high item level Kil'jaedan or M+ relic from Black Rook Hold this'll be your go-to Frost Relic until progression is done.
Band of Rescinded Truths
Crown of Discarded Hope
Harness of the Skybreaker
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
Try to avoid using
Ghost Wolf
or
Gust of Wind
during
Unbound Chaos
unless you're nearly trapped in the swirls, as it's very easy to accidentally kill other raid members with your own swirls when you use speed boosts/movement abilities irresponsibly.
Gust of Wind
can be used during phase 2 to cancel out the knockback and avoid the falling damage from
Dark Mark
if timed well.
Mythic Tips:
If your
Tainted Matrix
soak lines up with
Unbound Chaos
at all then make sure that you save
Astral Shift
for it, as the combination of the two can be quite difficult to deal with otherwise.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Pauldrons of the Skybreaker
Legguards of Siphoned Power
Cape of Mindless Fury
Recommonded Build:
Basic Tips:
You can use
Gust of Wind
to cancel out the knockback from
Rupturing Singularity
if need be.
Make sure you're lining up
Stormkeeper
with the adds spawned by
Shadow Reflection: Erupting
as often as you can. You won't be able to line it up with all of them, but you can line it up with most of them and having that large AoE burst is a big help in getting them down.
It is technically physically possible for you to take care of
Flaming Orb
on heroic with
Gust of Wind
,
Ghost Wolf
, and
Astral Shift
on Heroic. However, it really ought to be Mages or Hunters handling this as they're a bit better equipped for it. In a pinch though? You can back them up if need be.
If you're gearing up for KJ Mythic odds are you aren't reading this, but in case you are - There isn't really much additional to do to maximize yourself on mythic that isn't covered in the basic tips. There's a lot of movement though, so a gambling build or an
Icefury
-based build will probably serve you better than the others on this fight.
Elemental Gear Drops:
Sphere of Entropy
- This is the best available Frost relic in Tomb, and only an equal item level Frost relic from Black Rook Hold will currently win out over it.
Vicegrip of the Unrepentant
- In situations where you aren't using
Smoldering Heart
these are the best available gloves
Star-Stalker Treads
- In situations where you aren't using
The Deceiver's Blood Pact
these are the best available boots
Seal of the Second Duumvirate
- This is the best all-around ring. Each of the other rings in tomb have situations where they all shine, but this one is consistently at the top
Tome of Unraveling Sanity
- Assuming no warforging/titanforging this is the 2nd best trinket from Tomb for single-target for all builds, and the best trinket for AoE.
