Elemental Shaman Tips and Tricks for Gnarlroot

Spec into as little AoE as necessary. While Tainted Lasher are the highest priority, if you raid kills them in time consistently, you can choose to funnel more damage into the boss.
The boss takes double damage during Uprooted Agony. You will most likely not have any adds up for this but try to hold Fire Elemental and Bloodlust for this phase.
With enough Mastery you should easily be able to fit 2 Primordial Waves into the damage window. To do so you might need to hold it so it is available at the start of the phase immediately.
Use your mobility tools like Spiritwalker's Grace and Ghost Wolf to handle Controlled Burn in P1.
Make sure that when you use CC to control the adds, you do not hinder your tanks that are collecting them. Use Earthgrab Totem, Thunderstorm carefully and use Capacitor Totem after the adds are grouped up.

Never stand right behind the boss to make dodging Twisting Blade easier.
When activating the Sword, use Spiritwalker's Grace and other mobility tools to dodge his Smashing Viscera.
When activating the Dagger, consider using Healing Surge and Healing Stream Totem to heal off the Heart Stopper.

Volcoross

Elemental Shaman Tips and Tricks for Volcoross

Do not get hit by the tail slam. Stay slightly farther away to make dodging the Hellboil a lot easier.
When soaking Flood of the Firelands, try to have an instant cast ready to do damage during the knockback effect.
Use Ancestral Guidance and Defensives on Serpent's Fury or Coiling Flames.

Council of Dreams

Keep a general spread in the ranged camp. Ensure you never stand in front of Urctos if you don't intend to soak Barreling Charge.
Urctos has twice as much health as the other two. Depending on the number of melees you bring, you might need to put some focus on him.
If you get caught in a bad spot during Constricting Thicket, use Ghost Wolf to ignore the slow for a bit.
If you become a duck (you get affected by Polymorph Bomb), use Quack! to soak Noxious Blossom and Preen after removing all stacks of Hungry. If Urctos is going to cast Blind Rage, make sure you Preen on top of him during the cast.

Larodar

Use Fiery Treant to lock in a high value Splintered Elements. Focussing them should not be necessary but help interrupting their Fiery Flourish with Capacitor Totem.
With Tier 31 Elemental becomes very mobile, allowing us to carry most of the Dream Blossom mechanic.
During the intermission, Consuming Flame will deal a lot of damage so it might be worth keeping a defensive for this.
Help your team soak in Phase 2 if you are not afflicted with Flash Fire.
If you are afflicted with Flash Fire, consider self-healing if necessary.
Depending on your group comp and strat, either Treants in P2 are CCed and ignored, or they are killed. Use them to funnel damage into the boss by spreading Flame Shock and getting big Splintered Elements value.

Nymue

Elemental Shaman Tips and Tricks for Nymue

Prioritize dodging Impending Loom with your instant casts.
Preposition yourself in P1 for P2 already and take the Surging Growth in your section.
During the intermission try to keep a Flame Shock on Nymue themselves.
Soaking Surging Growth in the intermission should be doable by your melee group.
Defensives are best used during high stacks of Unravel.

Smolderon

Elemental Shaman Tips and Tricks for Smolderon

Every other cast of Brand of Damnation and Overheated is telegraphed in the sense that you cannot get a duplicate of the previous mechanic. Use this to your advantage and preposition.
Brand of Damnation Waves are spawning depending on where you face. You should be able to aim them so they don't cause a lot of trouble.
Before the intermission starts, the boss will do a knockback. Make sure you stay on the platform.
Living Flame Orbs are personal. Grab them as quickly as you can. It is probably not worth to hold Fire Elemental for this, but use Spiritwalker's Grace to minimize downtime.
In the intermission, use Wind Rush Totem as assigned by your raid leader or as you see fit. Demonic Gateway and Gust of Wind are also good tools to stay ahead and maximize damage.

Tindral Sageswift

Elemental Shaman Tips and Tricks for Tindral Sageswift

Make sure all of your cooldowns are available during Supernova Shields.
Wind Rush Totem is valuable for this fight at most times. I recommend using it during Blazing Mushroom to make soaking easier.
Keep Liquid Magma Totem and/or Stormkeeper for Mass Entanglement.
Use Spiritwalker's Grace or Gust of Wind to get out of the raid with Fiery Growth and use Astral Shift to reduce the damage you take.

Fyrakk the Blazing

Fyrakk Build

Fyrakk features significant amounts of downtime. Make sure you do not cast Primordial Wave right before he takes off and no enemies are attackable.
Use Spiritwalker's Grace to run away from Dream Rend.
You can use Gust of Wind to cancel the knockup and fall damage in the first Intermission or at the start of Phase 3.
If you use Primordial Wave on the Colossi when they spawn, you should get another use right after the Screaming Soul spawn. If you are specced into Liquid Magma Totem, wait until your raid has grouped up the adds to maximize your damage potential.
In the last phase, your only goal is to deal as much damage as possible to the boss while not dying to the damage.

Elemental Shaman Viability in Amirdrassil

Elemental Shaman's main strengths are their Single Target and spread cleave damage. Something that continues to be the case despite nerfs. While not all Single Target, the vast majority of bosses in Amirdrassil work well with the damage profile Elemental Shaman supplies. If adds are relevant on some of the fights, Elemental will excel with it's passive cleave potential.
