A useful macro is one that automatically casts a spell at the position of your mouse cursor instantly, without having to re-click. An ability that might be useful with such a macro is Grappling Hook.

Casting on your cursor isn't always what you want to do. Here is a macro that would cast something on mouse-over instead. In this example, we're using Kidney Shot. If we do not have a mouseover, it will still cast on your current target. This logic can be applied to other spells, such as Cheap Shot or Kick, just by changing which spell is listed.

This macro will prioritize kicking your focus, and if you do not have one, will kick your current target instead. This can be extended to other utilities as well, including Kidney Shot to stop a caster as an example:
