Assassination Rogue DPS Starter Guide - Shadowlands 9.2.5

Critical Strike: Chance to deal double damage with your attacks. Remember that critical strikes from abilities with direct damage give a combo point via Seal Fate.

Haste: Increases attack speed, energy regeneration, and the tick rate of your bleeds and poisons.

Mastery: Increases the damage of your bleeds and poisons.

Versatility: Increases all damage done and reduces damage taken.

Assassination Rogue Enchants

Weapons: Enchant Weapon - Celestial Guidance and Enchant Weapon - Sinful Revelation (make sure to take two different enchants)

Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Fortified Avoidance / Enchant Cloak - Fortified Leech / Enchant Cloak - Fortified Speed / Enchant Cloak - Soul Vitality

Chest: Enchant Chest - Eternal Stats

Boots: Enchant Boots - Eternal Agility

Rings: Enchant Ring - Tenet of Haste

Best Assassination Rogue Rotation

Ensure your poisons (most importantly Deadly Poison) are active and not going to run out during the fight.

Be in Stealth.

Use Mutilate.

Apply Slice and Dice.

Use Mutilate.

Apply Garrote.

Use Flagellation (Venthyr).

Apply Rupture.

Use Echoing Reprimand (Kyrian), Serrated Bone Spike (Necrolord), or Sepsis (Night Fae).

Use Vendetta.

Use Shiv.

Use Flagellation (Venthyr) right before Vendetta when you are about to follow up with a finisher.

Use Sepsis (Night Fae) right before Vendetta.

Use Echoing Reprimand (Kyrian) on cooldown.

Use Serrated Bone Spike (Necrolord) on targets that do not have the DoT ticking on them.
Other than that, you can use it to avoid capping on 3 charges (trying to keep 2 ready for incoming new targets) or to fish for the Lead by Example buff if you have the Emeni soulbind.

Use Vendetta on cooldown.

Use Vanish during Vendetta.

Use your Potion with Vendetta as well.

Use Shiv on cooldown for the damage debuff. If you are close to a new Vendetta window you can hold it for that though.

Put up an initial Slice and Dice at 3+ combo points and then try to maintain it (via Cut to the Chase) by prioritizing Envenom if it is about to drop.

Keep up Garrote on all targets.

Keep up Rupture with four or more combo points on all targets.

Use Envenom at four or more combo points. Without Vendetta up, it is worth pooling energy before using it.

Use Fan of Knives at 4 or more targets.

Use Fan of Knives at 3 targets if any of them has no Deadly Poison ticking.

Use Ambush with the proc from Blindside (if talented).

Use Mutilate at 2 targets to re-apply Deadly Poison to the second target.

Use Mutilate on your main target.
