You can wait with crafting this until after you've spend your first bonus roll or two, in case you hit a weapon. Otherwise, this is the most impactful early craft you can make.

While you might craft one as your first craft, if you decide not to, upgrading your weapon is almost assuredly the most powerful choice you can make.

Galecaller's Boon - can hardly be considered the best trinket, because when using it you need to stand still and lose all the benefits of the BM hunter's mobility.

I have never seen the higher versions of Gale's and Spyglass (370/380/400/415) where do the higher version drop from? Not even wow head has a description of the higher versions on this chart.

Perhaps this isn't the appropriate place to ask this, but seeing the sims, the best simulated trinkets are on-use ones. Is there any benefit for having 2 on-use trinkets equipped? Usually they share cooldowns, if not always. The best scenario is to have the best simulated on use trinket on one slot and the best equipped proc on the other slot?

Hey everybody, I am quite confused about the blood link gear. I do have the chest and the waist from SoD. Now I need a third blood shard item/gear but SoD is not offering it. I do have the legs from SoD which says : add 1 more blood shard but there is no socket. I would appreciate if someone could tell me where to get the third blood shard item. I have created a BM hunter as an alt and have my last dinar to spend.
I have to decide between a quiver and first sigil according to the guide above.
I cannot understand why first sigil is such a good trinket for the class.
Any remarks?

I understand it's pretty difficult to rank trinkets, but perhaps create tables of trinkets for mythic/heroic/normal raid versions? It's going to be pretty off to compare 298 M+ trinkets with mythic raid ones, which seems to have been done here. Sure, simming is #1, but many people will just look at that table of trinkets.

I can tell, for example, that a 298 So'leah's Secret Technique is going to be better than a 298 Stone Legion Heraldry even with one additional SLH in the party (not unlikely in an M+ group). More total stats (147 vs 135), and you usually have a selection of secondary stats you can choose. So'leah is also certainly better than Thundertower's Targeting Reticle, which just gives a lower amount of a probably worse stat.

I feel the need to add this :

After hunting for weeks for that "Jeweled Signet of Melandrus", farming Valor to raise it to 12/13 (my cap at the moment), and running a hundred M+ dungeons between +5 and +16 with it equiped, plus numerous sims with raidbots, IT DOES NOT WORK WITH RANGED ATTACKS, NOR FOR PET ATTACKS, meleers get a huge boost from it, but 160 points of damage on the base 747-948 of my Bow of the Dragon Hunters should be HUGE (that's more than 10%) and it's simply not there at all !

Of course, after all that, I've dropped a Neltharax, post-nerf, that works even better, and I had a ring crafted with the alchemy pouch for the food buff persisting after death.

On another note, the raid trinket "Controlled Current Technique" that I got at iLVL 408 is very nice when you have very few targets or targets that are very far apart, but in Mythic+ instance like the Halls of Valor, it's lightning bolt range of 100 yards will pull the aggro from a second group while you're already neck deep in a hard fight. Oh, and when the effect dissipates, that "grounded" means you cannot jump for one minute, that in itself can be deadly for yourself if you need to dodge something, do a route-cut in the Azure Vault, etc.

Sweet Basement Cat, I really should not spend time reading guides when my mind is in "manic analytical mode".

In the BiS guide for Raids, you've put two rings that might (a chance = 30% probability, and the Law of Great Numbers of statistics cannot apply because we never reach the several millions of results for a "statistically signifcant sample", so when they do proc, it's more Murphy's Law at the worst possible moment, or not reliable enough to base a strategy and build on) do something when the BM Hunter does FIRE damage, while the ONLY source of Fire Damage in the Beast Master toolkit is the "Completely Safe Rockets" ammo, that also has a 30%, very unreliable, probability of activation on auto-attacks only.

30% of 30% on auto-attacks every 3 seconds (or a tiny bit less with a huge Haste secondary characteristic, which is very hard to raise now due to stat weight changes) is a probability so small that it might as well be negligible, it will happen during intense, active game play, but not often enough to actually make a difference, and most often just after you finished the last mob of a fight.

And I have the numbers to back that up, I do use that ammo on my BM Hunter (because not using them is always a loss), I do on average 5000 auto-attacks in a Mythic+ dungeon run (so much time spent running and not in combat), and the results crunched by the Wowhead client, Details!, Warcraft Log Companion and Raider.io all agree on a 16.5% active uptime, a bit more than half the theoritical rate.

Again, because we never reach the several millions of results for a statistically significant sample in a single dungeon instance or raid run, so we're in the "exceptions" or "worst possible time" domains.

I followed your guides for a long time, then I started to actually read the descriptions of the items in the actual game, and after carefully reading, understanding and comparing I've managed to get a 75% increase in overall performance over your guides and the simulations made with them, not to mention that said simulations assume you always have all your CDs, boosts and bonuses active 100% of the time, which is not possible in the reality of the game where you have to react to situations, behaviour of the players you play with, random targeting of the NPCs, and so much more.

Even against training dummies that don't fight back, don't kill your pets, don't silence you or force you to break your cycle to kick a cannot-be-allowed-to-pass spell, a human player cannot maintain 100% boost, bonuses and procs all the time.

It's even indicated on the raidbot website itself !

Theory is very nice, number crunching too, I do that for a living outside of World of Warcraft, but they fall apart when confronted by the game.

And it's written in light blue on dark blue, might be hard on the eyes, but still plainly, clearly stated.

I'd have to get lucky and drop that Mirror, but in S3, as a Beastmaster, it only duplicated my auto-attacks and was not affected by the numerous boosts to pets.

It was very, very sad thing that did less overall damage than the Rockets, basically a waste of a slot.

And yes, I had it in Mythic 4/4, my mirror image did a Sand Blast of 5K every 2 seconds while it was there, and nothing else.

The fact that Mirror is on here when the dungeon is NOT in the rotation is an absolute joke. Trying to get a group for this terrible drop is a nightmare, no one wants to spend forever in a place they don't have to just for 1 trinket to drop for someone else.

Arguable to swap a BSL for Shadowflame, once you have at least Diurna's Chosen ring, for a reliable fire damage source? Rockets can proc it of course, but..

For those puzzling about his choice of rings, the primary fire damage proc will come from Tindral's Fowl Fantasia (the Incandescent Essence helm enchant) and sometimes from Completely Safe Rockets. This procs quite often, so I agree with his selection.

Spiteful storm is in C...? This is why I never go off of ANY guide online. Spiteful storm CONSISTENTLY sims higher than ALL of these other trinkets besides Mirror and Whispering. Then Mirror and Whispering is only a .5% DPS increase over Spiteful and Whispering. Optimal choice here is Spiteful Storm and Whispering Icon (if youre like me and hate on use trinks) Lord knows how many other trinkets on that tier list are fudged. Do your own sims guys if you care that much.

I am interested in seeing peoples thoughts on the trinket combo that I use for Delves. I run with Shining Arathor Insignia (593) and Shadowed Essence (593). Every week I sim myself on Raidbots and its saying I would need to get the BIS trinkets at Hero 2/6 before it out performed the combo I have. Can someone explain why that is?

When to Stop Using D.I.S.C as Beast Mastery Hunter?

You will not want to replace your D.I.S.C belt as it is better than any belt you'll find in Season 3.

I smell a nerf coming for that Belt. There's no way it's OK to have a 701 ilvl (22 ilvls lower) item from previous season be better than 6/6 mythic track belts @ 723 ilvl.

Curious on why the Screams of a Forgotten Sky trinket is ranked so low?

I randomly simmed it on raidbots and it came out on top by a wide margin, and in practice it consistently makes up a good ~5-10% of my damage for a given fight. Am I missing something?

For Midnight Season 1, the embellishments on the crafted Belt/Boots, are they better than a crafted neck/weapon with embellishments? I feel like the procs would be better on those, than a small stat increase that you can get from the belt/boots.
