Not gonna lie as a leather user who is not a god damn rogue this makes me so angry. This is such a junk piece that only works for one class if that. All the other tier sets look incredible, and the colour options make them work for all classes that can wear them. But leather users get screwed again. How on earth do you expect demon hunters, monks and especially druids to wear that monstrosity? Jesus only hunters and shamans can wear mail but their set not only works for both but also has a pants/robe option - its damn incredible! Can we not just god damn once let one of the other design teams work on the leather set? Just once can we have a decent set. Once again left with nothing but absolute garbage that doesnt even work for 3/4 of the armour wearers. EVERY DAMN TIME

No, this is hard to tell because in no way shape or form does the horrible mail set look like a gargoyle. It looks like Dr. Doom lost his armor except for his helmet and found a barrel with old Warlords of Dreanor gear in it and just shrugged and went with it. Cloth, leather, and plate all clearly match the theme of the raid and have excellent art styles and flavor. The mail set looks like the art team left for the day and the janitor tried his hand at design and sent it to the big boss before the art team could stop it.

This looks promising. They really need to step their game up after the disaster, the sheer disaster, that was BFA gear. We had ONE (Dazar'alor) good raid tier, and the rest resembled common dungeon blues, as well as no good weapons.

Blizzard promised that we would see higher fidelity gear with the removal of class sets. BFA disproved that, but they can redeem themselves with Shadowlands. So far the two sets I've seen look very good.

- I really want to unequivocally love the leather set, and on almost all pieces of it, I do, but the shoulders (as is typical) are just ridiculous and look slapped on as an afterthought. All Bliz would need to do to fix them is make them a whole lot smaller, and/or swap them out for a more epaulet look. Many of the Revendreth NPCs have teeny-tiny shoulder pieces that would look great here, because they're accents, not... big goofy spiky things that serve no purpose and don't match. The boots would look better if they were just boots, not capped with big chunky pointy bits. This is a vampire hunter set; vampire hunters need to be able to RUN. They did the pointed boot look far better on the plate set, why didn't they just make a shaped boot for leather too?

The hat feels like it'd be a lot more palatable if it didn't have the excessive glow effect on it. With it, it looks a bit too far into cartoony for my liking, but Iunno about anybody else.

- The mail certainly has a look, but "gargoyle" it ain't, even if they do change the helm's appearance later. The main visual differences between a standard human and a gargoyle in WoW are wings, tails, claws, fangs, horns (on the forehead), and skin color. This set doesn't really evoke any of those things; it just looks like a generic shaman-y style set with huge shoulders and lots of spiky bits. Which, if you're a shaman, that's fine. It's not a BAD set, it's just absolutely not pulling off the theme that's being claimed here. Hell, they could put on a helmet that looks kinda like Loki's and it'd do a lot to make it gargoyle-y.

Also I'll be honest, the multiple spikes on the toes of the boots look really silly. If you want to give boots claws, just make clawed boots. It'd look better, but it might still look silly.

- I love love love love LOVE the plate set and I wish I played a plate character so I could make use of it, good lord. It's gorgeous and it looks complete. Its pieces match one another. The chestpiece is surprisingly understated, but it doesn't look out of place for it. I also love the color choices for it, especially that red one because it gives me flashbacks to Unreal Tournament 2k4. If that's a PVP color I wouldn't be shocked if it was intentional.

- I actually forgot to mention the cloth but that's just cuz I like it almost as much as the plate and am once again lamenting the fact that I don't play any clothies. Even the boot-caps look great, because they're not supersized beyond reason. I also am in lust with the electric-blue color options.

Mail getting shafted yet again... that set doesnt suit hunter or shaman. Really wish they would bring back class sets and not this armour type trash. The cloth set looks great for a Lock, doesnt really suit mage or priest. Leather looks awesome for a rogue, DH and Monk doesnt really fit.

The plate set could go in any direction tbh, maybe DK the least but it really hits a warrior look or if you were aiming for a crusader paladin type feel.

Just wish class sets would come back.

These look awesome. However, they only fit specific class fantasies. Why should a mage look like a plague doctor? How does that fit into class or spec identity ? Why does the mail look like a pvp rogue set? Why does the leather look like something to RP in, they're almost normal clothes if you take the shoulders out. The plate looks like it's made for warriors, how does that fit a paladin ?

As a mail (hunter) and leather (druid) wearer, I can't remember the last time I looked in the set tab and found one I liked. My druid has had the same transmog since MoP, which is when I joined. (and yes, I do see my transmogs, I'm not always shapeshifted).
I made a warlock recently, and my jaw dropped at how many cool sets they had.

I can't overlook the fact that these do not match class fantasy or the identities of most of the characters wearing them.
Out of context, these look fantastic.

I think y'all are on drugs, that is the first time I ever looked at a mail set in this game and thought wow that is $%^&ing cool. It looks like Taskmaster from Marvel Comics. I'll take it. The best part about it is it looks like something an actual hunter would wear and not some weird metal clown suit.

Long time Mail wearer, first time Warrior. Boy, did I change in time. Mail looks like a bad rogue set, Leather looks like Pilgrim RP, Cloth looks like hyper-specific Warlock gear, but Plate....now that's the best Plate armor Blizzard has ever made, IMO. Like a proper detailed suit of crusader armor. Glorious. The rest have very ugly colorings even outside the general design and really don't do it for me. But thank god for that Plate.
