I love these guides! I've been very hit and miss with emotes in game. Often I know I want to use one, but invariably I try a command which does not work and get the default message which also does not work (to get me the "list" of emotes in game.)

Question:

If I am in one location and I'm guild chatting with someone at a location far away , and I do an emote, will they see it in their chat box.

I've been wondering this since Nobelgarden 2014. I was sitting and munching my way through to the Chocoholic Achievement and chatting with a guild mate. When he asked how it was going, I emoted /belch and replied, Great!

Since we had already been chatting, my chats were in green text and I knew he could see that, but I don't know if he saw my belch and my small attempt at humour?

It just dawned on me that if it didn't work as I thought it did, someone close by me would have seen me sitting there and belch randomly! /blush

Thank you so much! This Guide was very helpful. I never Knew you could create your own emotes. I always wondered how Role-players said all those randoms sayings. Now I can play along with them.
I'm so happy I discovered this about the game.It makes me wonder how many other things I don't know about the game.
