This Guardian Druid talent build is intended to give you a good introduction to the spec and is designed for leveling and dungeons. While it may not be the best build for any particular situation, it will perform well in every situation. In particular,
is taken not only for the passive healing, but also for the ability to quickly
yourself if you get into trouble. Additionally,

Stat Priority and Gear
Guardian Druids primarily favor item level for stamina, armor, and agility, followed by Mastery and Versatility for defensive purposes. For more information about stats, refer to the
. Outside of Azerite Armor, there are no hard rules as to what is and isn't good, as Corrupting can make piece with "bad" secondary stats better than a piece with "good" stats simply due to the effectl. As a general rule:
higher item levels are usually upgrades
. See the
Guardian Druid Gear Guide
for more information.
Only two gear slots can be enchanted by all players in Battle for Azeroth: weapons and rings. There are also glove enchants which can assist with professions, Enchanter-only bracer enchants which modify hearthstone use, and Tailor-only cloak enchants which reduce threat slightly.

Burst of Savagery

Corruption is a new system that replaces titanforging in patch 8.3, these are some of the best corruptions a Guardian druid can acquire.
It is recommended to stay below ~39 or ~59 corruption while raiding to avoid too many nasty negative corruption effects from hindering you and potentially wiping your raid.
- Very high damage in both single target and aoe.
- Extremely high aoe dps.
- Very strong single target, loses value on aoe.
- Powerful single target, loses value on aoe.
- Great corruption point value, big damage.
The following is a general purpose essence setup that will perform well in most situations. Keep in mind that many essences not listed here excel in specific situations, so you will want to acquire those as well, and choose your setup based on the content you plan to do.
