Worse sound in wow.

You can run this script in a macro to kill the sound. But you will need to run it every time you reload to prevent the sound from ever occurring.

/script QueueStatusMinimapButton.EyeHighlightAnim:SetScript('OnLoop', nil)

When I'm in an Apexis raid, this sound is the worst.

Go to your installation folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\ )
Create a "Sound" directory and navigate to it.
Create an "Interface" directory and navigate to it.
Create an empty text file and rename it to "ui_groupfinderreceiveapplication_01.ogg"

Next time you load up WoW, test out the sound by using this chat command:

/script PlaySoundFile("sound\\interface\\ui_groupfinderreceiveapplication_01.ogg")

If you hear nothing, success!

If you want to hear this sound again, delete the file and restart WoW.

Hopefully Blizzard will make a console command or something someday for Addons to use to mute this wretched sound.

"Group Finder Silence" (curse) will make this only play once and stop repeating. I for one do not like screwing with game files so this is the only option.
