This couple reminds me of two characters from the Sword of Truth book series. The beautiful and arrogant mistress is akin to a "witch woman" named Shota and her hunched over froggy manservant is a dead givaway for Shota's sidekick Samuel. Only difference I would say is Shota never really threatens Samual, well not aloud anyway.
