Blizzard has announced that the Patch 9.2.7 Auction House is temporarily closed due to a critical bug.
Update #1 (6:45 PM): Blizzard announces no ETA but they have determined the cause of the issue and created a fix.
Update #2 (7:30 PM): We've corrected an issue with the wording in the above statement, clarifying that Blizzard had created a fix but with no ETA. We apologize for the confusion.

We don’t yet have an ETA on re-opening the Auction House.

Patch 9.2.7 linked auction houses across all realms for commodities and for the time being it's been shut down.
We’ve got a critical bug with the Auction House in 9.2.7, and we’ve closed the AH while we investigate and hopefully fix it.We’ll track this issue closely and provide any further updates as soon as we have them.
There's a rumour being floated around the community that this "critical bug" from the Auction House allowed players to create Gold out of thin air. There's another rumour floating around that there were millions or billions of items on the auction house for commodities being shown but players were unable to buy any of them. It's unclear as to the actual reason for the shutdown.
