Shadowlands Week 3 - Return Lost Souls from the Maw for 5 More Redeemed Souls

With the weekly reset, players will once again be able to do the weekly quest,
Le retour des âmes perdues
, awarding 5 more
Âme rachetée
with which to upgrade their Covenant Sanctums. With a total of 15 earned so far in the expansion, players should now have each of the four primary Covenant activities unlocked, but none yet upgraded to the second tier.
If you've been following along with the campaign and weekly quests so far, you should have earned a total of 15
Âme rachetée
so far. The first five most likely went to unlocking the first three Covenant Sanctum features - the Transport Network, Anima Conductor, and Command Table - with 2 left over. Those two combined with the five souls from last week's
Le retour des âmes perdues
would have unlocked the more expensive unique Covenant Activity, leaving 1 soul left unspent to add to this week's total. Because the tier two upgrades require at least 8 souls, there won't be anything to upgrade this week, but if you have all four level one features unlocked and 6
Âme rachetée
leftover after completing
Le retour des âmes perdues
this week, you are on track for Shadowlands week 3!
Some players may have instead opted not to unlock some of the four initial features, stockpiling Souls in order to upgrade a specific activity early. Generally speaking, this isn't the best course of action, as most of those upgrades are fairly minor, but it is possible if you don't care about certain advancements; for example, upgrading the Command Table only reduces the time it takes for heroes to recover health when defeated in combat. Still, if you are in this situation, your current number of Redeemed Souls may vary, but you should have still earned a total of 15 after this week's quest.
While we recommend not worrying too much about how to spend your Redeemed Souls, and simply unlocking the four basic features before focusing on any tier two upgrades, you can get an overview of exactly what each feature has to offer and what it takes to upgrade them further in our
Guide to Upgrading Covenant Sanctums with Redeemed Souls
.
Upgrade Covenant Sanctums with Redeemed Souls
Inside, you'll find a more complete overview of each feature, such as the Covenant specific activities detailed below:
Kyrian:
The Path of Ascension
is a boss rush Colosseum in which the players Soulbinds will fight, rather than the player character themselves. Allowing access to Ascension Crafting, special reagents and boss lures to tackle greater challenges, offering better rewards.
Necrolord:
Abomination Stitching
directs you to create new constructs for bodiless souls, granting reputation with the
Maîtres des sutures
, access to special rewards vendors selling unique collectables.
Night Fae:
The Queen's Conservatory
tasks players with finding
Esprit indompté
and other wild spirits to nurture within the Conservatory, similar to the
Tiller's Farm
from
Mists of Pandaria
.
Venthyr:
The Ember Court
allows players to host elaborate parties, inviting notable Shadowlands NPCs, arranging the catering and entertainment, dealing with party crashers, and more. The happier your guests, the more
Cour des Braises
reputation and the better tribute received upon completion.
These mini-games offer several rewards, including profession crafting reagents, unique armor appearances, mounts, and other special rewards. Some of them are shared between each Covenant, but many are Covenant specific as well, so choosing where to dedicate your time to get the rewards you want (or simply doing all of them on multiple characters as much as possible!) can be very important to collectors.
