Season 2 Sockets from Archivist's Codex Cannot be Added to Domination Socketed Gear

As players have started to reach Rank 6 with the Archivist's Codex, we have learned that you are unable to add Prismatic Sockets to a piece of Domination socketed gear. This means that when using all pieces of Domination Gear, Cloth users only get 3 sockets this tier, while Leather gets 5!

Prismatic Sockets Not Allowed on Domination Socketed Gear
Players have started to reach Rank 6 with the
Archivist's Codex
after a long grind on Korthia which means that they're now able to buy Socket Upgrades (
Trépan modificateur d’alliage
) and Conduit Upgrades (
Éclat de mort
).
Lipp
was one of the first to reach this benchmark and quickly realized that the
Trépan modificateur d’alliage
cannot add a socket to a piece of Domination Socketed gear, giving an error that says the following:
This item cannot be modified.
Xyronic
also showed this off on his stream, which you can see below.
This is
different
than on the PTR which allowed for a shared Prismatic Socket and Domination socket on the same item which is why it's so surprising. Thanks to Chrisadan for taking this screenshot on the PTR.
Maximum Number of Sockets Per Armor Type

sockets can be added to Helm, Neck, Bracers, Belt, and Rings. Because of how each armor type has a different selection of Domination Socketed pieces, each armor type will have a different number of maximum sockets this tier.
Here are all the possible socket locations with the overlaps with Domination pieces marked with a red x.

This means that each armor type will have a different number of sockets this tier assuming all Domination pieces are used. Cloth has the lowest at 3 sockets, while Leather has the most at 5 sockets!

Don't forget that Legendaries that are in these slots will automatically come with a socket now as well!
