Primal Storms, Dragonflight Pre-Patch Event - Event Description and Rewards

The Dragonflight Pre-Patch Event, Primal Storms, was tested this week on the Dragonflight Pre-Patch PTR. While the testing was terminated prematurely due to unforeseen circumstances and only lasted for a few hours, we were able to check the event out and see how it works, as well as all rewards from the event!
Important!
This was an
early preview
of the event, and some details have changed since then. Notably, there is no invasion in Tirisfal Glades.

Guide to the Primal Storms Pre-Patch Event
Pre-Patch Event - Primal Storms
The new event is called
Primal Storms
, where hordes of Primalist mobs invade specific zones. We were able to pinpoint that the invasions seem to be static, with each zone getting a specific invasion:
Earth Invasions
happen in Northern Barrens;
Fire Invasions
happen in Tirisfal Glades;
Storm Invasions
happen in Un'Goro Crater;
Water Invasions
happen in Badlands.

During the event, swarms of Primalist mobs will spawn in certain areas marked on the minimap. Every 30 minutes or so, a mini-event spawns, where an Elemental Lord will spawn, and nearby mobs will become imbued with the invading element and drop
Essence primitive
, the currency for the Dragonflight Pre-Patch event. The boss is surrounded by a shield that is removed by killing 100 imbued mobs in the area. Once the shield is removed, the boss can be killed for loot and more Primeval Essences!
Pre-Patch Event Rewards
There are several rewards for participating in the Dragonflight Pre-Patch event:

Feat of Strength
Every recent Pre-Patch event has a Feat of Strength attached to it, and the Primal Storms are no different. To earn this Feat of Strength, you must participate in killing every Elemental Lord boss in each invasion:

ilvl 252 Catch-Up Gear and Transmog
The Primal Imbued mobs, as well as the Elemental Lords, have a chance to drop ilvl 252 gear, serving as a decent catch-up for lower-geared alts who may not have played Shadowlands before Season 4. This gear can also be purchased with
Essence primitive
, the event's currency, from
Chasse-tempêtes William
by the Boralus docks in Stormwind, or
Chasse-tempêtes Suhrakka
by the zeppelin tower in Bladefist Bay in Durotar.
This gear includes all slots, including weapons, necklaces, rings and trinkets!
For transmog pursuers, the invasion gear is a blue recolor of the
Dragonflight Questing Gear
and a previously undiscovered hue:

Note: Gloves are showing a glitch in the Dressing Room, but they're currently glitching like that in-game as well.

Essence primitive
, the event's currency, from

by the Boralus docks in Stormwind, or
Chasse-tempêtes Suhrakka
by the zeppelin tower in Bladefist Bay in Durotar. The toy summons a vacuum above your head which sucks in critters for 10 seconds, and has a 30-minute cooldown.

Heirloom Trinket
The last reward for this event is a new Heirloom trinket! This trinket contains Primary stats and a proc that deals Elemental damage to enemies. To craft this trinket, you must obtain a rare drop from all Elemental Lords and combine them:
